  1. I recommend Kevin Herr in San Diego. Ported my bike, my buddies bike, and my brothers bike. They run like a CHAMP and he has a fast turnaround time. Check out his web site and give him a call. 99% chance that he will answer his phone if you call at a decent hour. GOOD WORK AND A GREAT GUY. www.herrjugsracing.com
  2. I had a Suzuki Quadzilla for years and it was NOTHING but problems. Sold it, bought a 2005 shee. The 05 shee was used 1 season and the guy got rid of it. Already had the pipes and a K&N on it. I still have the T-5 pipes on it, but I switched to pod filters and had it ported and a noss head with 19's and a bunch of other go fast goodies. Have not had one problem with it to date and I ride the piss out of it in the dunes. No overheating even when its over 100 degrees out there. I do use engine ice and have a noss head and a billet impellar, but my brother does not and he does not have overheating problems either. Actually, the only bike I know that had overheating problems was my POS Quadzilla. The Quadzilla screamed like a bat out of hell when I was running okay, but that was rare.
  3. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...c=49835&hl= Here is the link on the leak down tester. I should make myself one of those - although I have not had any air leak problems its still a good idea.
  4. I'll be on Gecko as well.
  5. There is a plastic piece on the stock stator cover that projects into the area that the case saver (when installed) is in. What do you guys do about this? Grind it off? Please advise!
  6. Naa we're not rowdy, just alcoholics.
  7. Im going to be in Glamis Wednesday night (the 21st) and leaving Sunday (the 25th). I have gone to Gordon's my whole life and have only riden from Gordon's to Glamis so I have never camped there. So - I decided to go to Glamis for Thanksgiving. I have never been so I don't know where to camp but would like to camp with a group. So for with me I have my wife and myself in our new toy hauler and 2 other friends that may or may not buy motorcycles before Thanksgiving. They are going to look this weekend. Im down to camp with you Bansh-eman. Im 25 and my wife is 26 - I thought I saw a thread somewhere that said you were around that age. The beer will be flowing like wine with my group. Hopefully jayzx750 from this forum tunes in to this thread because I think that he is going to Glamis that weekend as well. I bought some paddles from him not to long ago.
  8. Well, I did it. It actually wasn't that bad. No problems towing it. ON the way back from Gordon's Well they truck hit 2nd gear a few times for a couple minutes at 4K RPM, but I think that's normal its a frekin steep ass hill and long. I installed a K&N full system, a Hypertech Max Power Programmer, and a Mass Air Flow Sensor. Those items combined ACTUALLY give me 50 more miles PER TANK of gas when im not towing and a hell of a lot more power it seems. Good mods IMO. Here is the whole set up at the dez
  9. The stock carbs are fine. Im going to keep them until next season until I have the $$$ to buy new carbs otherwise its still quick as shit with the stock carbs.
  10. Yeah I think I read somewhere someone saying that. Do you happen to know off the top of your head if I can still use my K&N Pods for the stock carbs on a 33mm carb? One of the reasons I have not got carbs yet is because these pods are bran new and I would hate to have to take em off already and buy new ones.
  11. Well I beat it 2 out of 3 times so there is no reason to race on cement. I don't even have tires made for that. Mods are in the signature. I won.
  12. Yeah im 230 and he is like 175. 19cc domes and 100 octane
  13. We raced a 2 our of 3 race. 2 out of 3 times I won. BAD ASS MOFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah im REALLY glad I have the front suspension on now because every time he got the jump on me and I had to bomb the sh*t out of the whoops to gain ground. Whatever I won and now that dude says I wont win next time like he is going to be doing more work to his bike I guess. Whatever im still rockin stock carbs. 35mm to come soon.
  14. So myself, my brother, and my friend all had our banshee's ported by Kevin Herr http://www.herrjugsracing.com/ We set up the bikes the way that he recommended and to say the least - the SCREAM! HUGE difference over stock jugs and some of the faster bikes that were out at Gordons on the 26th through the 28th. We all almost killed ourselves a few times out there, but we all survived and no one got hurt. The jetting that Kevin recommended was perfect and all the bikes ran tits. All I have to say is if I ever need, or a friend ever needs a port job that is where im going to send him/her. Here are a picture of the bikes from this past weekend. Im going out to Glamis for Thanksgiving so if anyone from the forum is going out that same weekend let me know because im in need of some peeps to camp with AND RACE =) CAMP MY BIKE BROTHERS BIKE FRIENDS BIKE - The one with the GIANT jolly roger ALL THREE and my dad at the end soon to have a Kevin Herr port job.
  15. Hey, this dude's 700 isin't built up that much.... You have damn near the same mods as I do, but you have a +6 swinger and I have a +4 so I should be able to take em. =) I think I normally run about 8 in the dunes is that 'normal?' I could lower it to 5 for the night of the hill shoot drag race. I need to practise my launches because I have only rode the bike once after all this work I did to it and the haulers that I put on. I dont want to look like an idiot and pop a fat wheele and loose the race.
  16. Its going to be a good race then. I have 21x10 - 8 cup haulers and so does he.
  17. So its going to be an even race. Damn ohh well i'll report back here after the race. =)
  18. So who do you think will win. My Banshee or a Raptor 700 My banshee has 8 Cup Haulers on it now Kevin Herr Agressive Dune port, VF3's, K&N Pods, Toomey t-5's, +6 timing, 100 octane VP, +4 swinger, +2+1 arms works shocks, stiffer clutch springs and I think that it. **yes I still have stock carbs** it was either front suspension or 35 PWK's and I chose the suspension - carbs next season for sure. The RAPTOR 700 has 8 Cup Haulers on it now Aftermarket Pipe - K&N - Front aftermarket suspension I really hope that my damn banshee beats this bike. The competition is on Friday night at Test Hill - Gordon's Well. I have not even ridden my bike since the front suspnsion has been put on so I hope that helps in the whoops section.
  19. I have a jeep cherokee that is all lifted fat that I installed a trans cooler on. It was very simple actually. I may be able to do that on our truck I have not looked at the transmission lines yet. On the Cherokee it was EZ. Im thinking about a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer. The reviews say they are pretty good. Also a K&N cold air intake and mass air flow sensor im sure wouldent hurt. Im sure the programmer will help. I have towed an 18 foor heavy ass double axel trailer with 3 bikes 30 gallons of gas and coolers and what not and it did fine with that. Sometimes up grades out here on the way to Gordon's Well/ Glamis the transmission didn't know what gear it wanted to be in, but im sure the hypertech will solve that problem.
  20. My wife and I are thinking about purchasing a toy box to sleep in and haul my quad out to the desert with. Its a 21' 2000 Carson Fun Runner with all the amenities. Our tow rig is a 2002 Silverado with a 5.3L V8 and Z71 package. Does anyone have experience on how hard this will be on the truck towing out to Gordon's Well and Glamis with those huge grades that are on the way? Especially on the way BACK from the desert there is one huge grade. The truck is stock. I think that the trailer weight is 6500lbs I THINK. I don't know the truck towing capacity. The trailer has brakes
  21. I tried to install the upper arms the other sides and it did not work.
  22. $180 with shipping... does that sound okay... or you can bid on it because I dont know if I can stop the sale on e bay or not.
  23. Yes I decided to sell it all as a package instead of bits and pieces here and there.
  24. http://cgi.ebay.com/Stock-Banshee-A-arms-a...1QQcmdZViewItem
  25. If I get off work ontime tonight I can measure. Maybe its the difference between the new and old style arms. I asked them for a picture of their suspension installed on one of their bikes and I got no reply.
