  1. you do not understand compression and exhaust port duration, raising the exhaust port reduces static compression but when under load at high revs, it will have more compression due to better signal (within a small rpm range) at the port drawing more fuel into the cylinder and pushing unburn gases back into the cylinder
  2. if you want some air flow dont waste your time and money, get some reed cages from yz125 or 250 and graft them in there, They will outflow anything. How much more flow can you get from a reed cage that still fits in the original hole? need i say more?
  3. You jack a$$, thats just where they choped off the graph. and those hp levels are over done, or its a modded bike with those pipes. Mine ran up to 10,200 on the dyno and made 50 hp with alot more modes than just slaping a set of pro curcuits on
  4. he means you will never find a complete stock 87 model to compare to a new model, All the old ones have had countless hours and rebuilds done to them so it really doesnt matter
  5. forget it as it will not bolt on
  6. chase are you talking 100 for the forks and drum or for the trans?
  7. both too much timing and compression will rob you motor of top end horsepower. It will not allow your motor to rev out freely. How do you know when it has too much? well that all depends on the tune of the rest of the engine and the only real way to know is dyno it.
  8. why do you need to know. i can tell you that the 200 means 200cc\min max flow
  9. how did you guys go with the pipes not clearing the p/valve cable drum on the end of the cylinder? i have pro curcuits, is the a pipe that any1 recommends?
  10. Take note. Every bit that you grind or mod changes the way the air flows in that area.
  11. could be interested in the stator cover. You need any rz parts? im parting out 2 bikes and got everything minus engines and assosiated components.
  12. yes i take paypal and make an offer as i stated in the first post.
  13. how much you askin 4 it sneeky?
  14. sneeky. ive got some info for you regarding your rd engine. lets start at bottom end. Gearbox and crank shafts are different and will not interchange with the rz/banshee. Gearbox has same ratios as an rz thou. Most other bottem end parts are the same thou. The cylinder stud pattern is different to Banshee/RZ - stud pattern is the same as old tz road race engines The porting specs are of typical 70's porting designs and in no way are close to a banshees porting. Yes the 81 rd came with a watercooled engine without the powervalves. The porting is still much similar to the air cooled version. Hope this helps. Give me a call if you wanna know anything as i am very familair with them. And will be heading to drags again soon
  15. hey sneeky you can mod your stocko. I modifyed mine with great success. I can mod your for +4 degress no prob
  16. i have a stock set thats on stock port on 40thou over with pistons thats at a shop there in the USA. The shop is called ATC i dont know if you have herd of them. If you pay me $185us plus the frieght involved their yours. I purchased them and i am having trouble getting them freighted here. They got sent back so this would be an easy solution
  17. post has been edited. selector drum included
  18. Both items for sale separate if i am offered the right amount. Leave you offers here. Please no PM's. 1 set of RZ shift forks and selector drum (for smoother shifts). 1 RZ transmission as used by banshee dragers(has different ratios to the banshee tranny)
  19. Why bother asking, just dyno it!
  20. ive got three of the friggen things but too bad im in aus.
  21. you will still retain plenty of bottom end with a single 36. we had one set up on my mates bike and it ran fine
  22. its just a drain hole. it allows water and the likes to drain out intead of pooling on the top case. The hole goes straight to the ground
  23. yes you can paint them and i have just used engine enamel
  24. 30mm from memory. I made one too by welding a bolt and nut up
