Good idea where I should be
atvfreestylekid replied to atvfreestylekid's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I got some 320 mains yesterday and we'll see how they work out. 320 is as big as they had. I was going to get some pilots too but they did not have any. -

plastic piece between main jet and carb
atvfreestylekid replied to atvfreestylekid's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
But they will not stay there. they just barely hold onto these jets. they are smaller around than the 280's i had on them. before. -
I just got some bigger mains and they pull through the plastic piece. I put a thin washer on the mains, but will this screw something up? Or, can I just ditch the plastic? Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I was about to give up because they would never reply back to me. How do you like them? I need some shocks that are real stiff for large jumps. These stockers are so soft that when I start going up the dirt hill on jumps, my chassis slaps the shit out of the ground. You hear that? before I even get off of the damn ground. That slows me way the hell down and screws up my landings. Then again i'm no small feller. Thanks again for all of the help Brian. I'll plan on the trip to the red river atv park sometime during spring break. I'm sure something will come up but maybe not. But that should give you time to fix urs and me time to get mine all broke in. -
Any certain reason you said that other than to be an ass?

Ok, I'll let you know. it will be a while before I get my shee broke in enough for me to feel confortable to romp on it. By the way, What did you give for your marvin shaws? I've e-mailed them twice on some front coil overs but get no response. I'm not going to buy a set of shocks if I don't even know how much they are. -

I plan on going to this place. How far from here do you live? I went to rocky ridge once. I'd like to go back there to. My mom said she would like to go ride to  . So I'm working on my old 98 Kawasaki 250 mojave she got me when I was 9. She'll be hooked. I'm running low on cash now though :ermm: . It started knocking 3 yrs ago and now I can't get the thing to start. I'm thinking about dropping a 250 ninja motor in it. I've seen a 500 ninja motor put in a mojave frame in a dirtwheels mag. So surly a 250 will fit. -

I say get the kid a shee and stick the wife on the EX  . Then she can join the club. I think it is f'n awesome that you and your son ride together. My dad is always "too buisy". He bought an old kawasaki 250 3-wheeler to ride and has rode it twice. That was 4 years ago. He'll be watching tv and I'll be like "dad, let's go knock the dust off of the kawi". And he will make somthing up so that he can't go ride. Like the tires are dry rotted and cracked so they have to be aired up every 30 min. So he can't ride it. Plus he has "better" things to do. I'm like shit, I'm 16 and we have never done a thing together. I pretty much tought myself how to ride. He showed me how to use the clutch when I was like 4. I've been on my own ever since. Well, my mom was always watching me when I rode, up until i was about 7. I'm still trying to get her into it. . I've rode alone on our farm so long that I have kinda adapted. My shee is my only true friend. It's never too buisy for me  . Tell your son I said he is lucky  -

Is it the one you use a little flat head screw driver to remove? I did not see any numbers on it. I'm sure it is the one that came with the toomey kit for the t5's. if the kit came with pilots. Do shops usualy stock jets or will i need to order them? Oh, and thanks for the offer on the crossover but I just bought a set of intakes on ebay that came with stock reeds and a crossover. I bought a set from a member on here but he mistakenly sent them to the wrong person and I can't get a hold of him. So i just bought a new set. I realy appreciate the offer though. You need some stock reeds? I will now have 3 complete sets of stock reeds. Thanks again. -
Also, throw a set of pipes on that shee. You'll be glad you did  .

If you are not racing, Why different arms? Just get a decent set of works for stock arms. I don't think you would need the tripple rates though. But IDK

Yeah. As soon as i find a stock crossover, that piece of shit is going to be melted down. Came on the quad when I got it 2yrs ago. On my 3rd set of intakes. I'm in the market for a crossover. As for the mods, I'm using the spacer plate instead of cut domes. It makes up for the extra stroke as well as raises the jugs which raises the ports to where they are supposed to be. As for the carbs, I'll just have them ported like that guy with the 135mph shee on ebay  . J/K. Thanks for the info. I'll get some more jets. I can't afford bigger carbs right now. Just dropped $650 on this stroker. All because a $20 rod bearing let go . They are a near future mod though. Start out at 340 mains and work my way up? Also, what are you calling the main tube. Sorry, I know very little about motorcycle carbs. Oh, yeah it's a 4 mill by the way. Thanks -
I hope you're not serious... He'd be better off to ride a bicycle...
-
That's what I'd do. If I was retarded... Sorry, I hate 4-strokes. I say drop 2 g's in the shee. Because if you get 5000 for your bike, a new yfz will still be at least 2gs more. My local shop had an se for like 7600. Plus I hate seeing the 2-strokes fade away.

I need a rough idea on what size jets and what needle clip position. My mods are in my sig and will be running 32:1 on the pre-mix. Stock carbs with 280 mains, middle clip, and idk what pilots. Where are the pilot jets located? Do they have the size stamped on them? Thanks

Now we're not saying it's not a nice bike. We're just saying it is not a 135mph bike. Right guys? -

Come on now guys. He's right. Did'nt you see all the "performance" billet parts on it? That adds like 10 lbs and 30 hp. And to lighten it up, he left the pegs off... Dude, if you read this, I have the same cheap ass steel dg nerfbars. Guess what? the pegs fit between the nerf and the frame! -
coolent confusion
atvfreestylekid replied to felcon edition banshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I want those plastics! I love red and I love flames!    -
All you need to install the stroker is the crank, wiseco 795 pistons, stroker spacer plate(makes up for the extra 4MM extra stroke and raises ports, so i don't see why porting is needed), gaskets, torque wrench, and yamabond/hondabond to seal the case. I think that's it. good luck.

Breaking in a new rebuild
atvfreestylekid replied to atvfreestylekid's topic in General Banshee Discussion
That's just it. It says for outboard engines but amsoil has it listed under the ATV section. It also says it is a good oil for them. I just want to get the right oil the first time just because I will have to order 4 gallons just to get my money's worth out of the shipping. But the dominator is too expensive. I mean $9.50 a quart is steep for as much as I will be using. -
They are wiseco pistons with the hotrods name. Even the cranks are to. Anyway, I got a set of wiseco 795 stroker pistons and they look and feel great. I have not had the chance to run them but I think they will be awesome.
