  1. This guy doesnt have a clue what hes talking about and has probably never even been on a street bike. The new R6 does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and redlines at 17,500rmps. Slow? are you kidding me? Thats faster than any production car. Whats your opinion of fast if that is slow? As for answering your qestions. I would check for ease of starting. Listen for a few minutes to make sure the fan kicks on when the bike is running. Ask him if its ever been dropped. Make sure it hits at least 1-n-2-3 while sitting still. Check for the wear on the tires and negotiate that in the price. Check chain/sprockets for rust or abnormal wear and tear. Check the brakes and look at the brake fluid to make sure its been maintaned well.
  2. Just like the titles says. Im trying to get an idea of what I should do with my pipes. Powdercoat or chrome. Post some pics so I can see the quality of how powdercoating and chrome plating holds up!
  3. I would be getting them powdercoated high temp gloss black. I would use the same company that dajogejr (the guy with the red cases) used on his cases. Its a very high quality powdercoat. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...c=73990&hl=
  4. send pics to [email protected] please. Or just post some here
  5. Any chance your front sprocket came loose?
  6. I love mine, there an amazing tire.
  7. Im gunna get some paul turner mids within the next couple weeks and had a couple questions... I dont really what chrome cause im not all about the shinny look. Plus ill be buying them new and they want 218 extra to chrome plate them. Does anyone run bare metal mids or would they rust fairly quickly?
  8. Turns out my carbs werent synced. Right one was .5 turns out and left one was 1.5 got em both at 1.5 and she starts within 3 kicks everytime now.
  9. Where do you live? If you have somewhere local its worth it to not have to pay shipping.
  10. Few tips... hmm.... Replace everything the manual tells you too. Have a friend help with torquing the main clutch nut. Use a torque wrench, I think its 52 ft lbs. Thats what it was on my R6 and there the same clutch. Soak the clutch overnite in some good oil before installing just like you mentioned. Make sure you dont get the washer that goes infront and behind the basket confused.
  11. I dont know about you, but i hate being a clone. I always like a different looking bike. (no im not and emo kid that wants attention lol!)
  12. no and no You cant make something that revs to 8k rmps sound like its reving to 16k rpms, doesnt work. Closest ive heard is a dmc 916 exhaust. Thats just for sound, nothing will perform like a streetbike motor.
  13. I ordered my g-force for the durability not the width. I plan on hitting some jumps. Im gunna have to wait until may though :-/
  14. You need to let us know where you live and we can give reccomendations. Im going .040 over with a mx port in a couple months. I figured might as well go all out. Getting the head shaved .020 over too. That way I can still run 94oct pump gas.
  15. Mine was the 3rd!
  16. Where are you located? Because if you dont buy it I will.
  17. I can help with the IV Lose the lid port and polish milled head
  18. What do your plugs look like? compression test? spark on both sides? try running it with the old carbs? tried switching the coils?
  19. I plan on stretching out the gears to 15/41 so itll compensate a bit with the top end.
  20. Ordered my g-force today. I have an older catalog and didnt see hubs but was hoping they made them. Looks like ill put those on my mod list too! I think im gunna order my paul turners next week. I hope they have them in stock :-/
  21. I replaced the trans on my R6 and the only thing I had done prior to that is an oil change. It is really simple once you get it all apart you can see how everything works and more than likely see hte problem. Give it a shot. If its all ready messed up you dont need to worry about messing it up
