  1. That's what I hate about plug chops, they take all the fun out of guessing!
  2. I like the SST's for trail riding. For dunes I think your barking up the wrong tree for both sets. Let the duners chime in. I say T-5's are a good choice. Any porting plans in the future?
  3. $700, OUCH!! That's one for the record books.... You could have changed out the entire electrical system cheaper. See if you can get your hands on a "known working" CDI box, swap it and see if that fixes anything. Spark lost on both sides? What year is it? Still have the TORS system?
  4. Welcome to the HQ! Good job posting a video to help diagnose your problem. The audio is not the best, so it is hard to hear what you have going on. You should start by dumping that old fuel and cleaning out the carbs, could be plugged pilots. Do you still have the TORS? Make sure the tube connecting the carbs is in place. What is your jetting and what elevation are you at?
  5. 25 pilots are stock, not 27.5, fatties like the 27.5's in most cases. Don't be afraid to do a plug chop.
  6. What type of riding do you do? That 15t front is tall, and that is not helping you out of the hole. You should be able to grind/cut that weld off. You can't expect that sprocket to hold up to the life of the bike, anyway. Go back to a 14t, or a 13t if you ride in tight trails. This will make it much more fun to ride. If not, get a huge rear sprocket.
  7. Did you happen to LISTEN at all when you were talking to Jeff? j/k. He would be able to explain the diff. to you, they are apples and oranges. Boring the cylinders is done to create optimal compression so your motor will function properly. Porting is performance enhancement through reshaping the internals of the cylinder where the air/gas travels. This really taps into the hidden potential of your motor,is expensive, and best left to the Pros like Jeff. Hope this helps!
  8. Air filter clean? When you do get it started, will it idle on it's own? How many turns out on the air screws?
  9. Thought it was funny to put this under Product Reviews. Dave is a Tool, not a product!!
  10. This stuff can be frustrating. The only thing I can offer (other than the free bump) is to swap out the CDI with a known working one. Hopefully you know someone with a Banshee?
  11. X2 on the pilot jet. 87Sheerips thinks your talking of a Banshee, that is why the crazy talk about synching and such. lol
  12. Try checking the stator's resistance when it is warm and acting up. See if it is within spec's. Just because it is new doesn't mean it isn't broke.
  13. No way that one is real. All those kick-ass rides, his parents wouldn't allow that truck parked in the drive, let alone buy it for him.
  14. Welcome! Compression tester, carb spray, and compressed air should get you going in the right direction. Take note on the numbers engraved on the pilot and main jets of your carbs. Check the main board under the carb and jetting header, there may be some pinned information there worth looking at. Clymer's Manuals are very helpful and you can usually get a new one off Ebay for $25.
  15. Guess it could've been worse, hopefully you recover fast. Sounds like the little guy got on it when no one was looking!
  16. Looks a little fake, but funny. IDK what's worse, choreographing a remote up the ass or actually doing it in a fit of rage
  17. I remember when the shit hit the fan, he supposedly "disposed" of a couple of his poor performing dogs with his own hands. That is enough for me to hate him. Too bad someone couldn't have done that to him after a couple of his lackluster performances!
  18. I'm, ehem, a Lion's fan. I can handle them going 0-16 but if they would have signed that fuckstick I'd jump ship. Fuck that, and that fucking cocksucker!
  19. Probably a good decision, Copper Harbor is one hell of a drive from where your at. Also, the black flies will carry both of you away and eat you alive this time of year. Fall is very cool up there, though.
  20. My 250 is totally different from my Banshee as far as jetting is concerned. Mine needed to be leaned way down just to run the stock setup. I put a pipe and reeds on it, it needed less fuel than before!! I currently have a 148 main and I believe a 42 pilot. I'm not positive on those, I'll have to double check, but I believe you are rich on the pilot and probably the main. Do a plug chop with your current setup and see what it looks like. Not a bad idea to do a leakdown, either.
  21. It states that you must buy the tickets "on-site in the lodge." Not worth the trip for me...... Good luck, man
