  1. ellison445 is parting out an '89 shee here's his part out thread http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...c=86965&hl= try him before you try fleabay.
  2. no the carrier does not swap. you can put a banshee carrier on a blaster but not the other way around. the parts on a blaster are not really worth a darn. i believe that the lower arms are the same on the blaster and banshee. but the upper arm is smaller. also it has a different ball joint in the upper a-arm. it really isn't worth the hassle of trying to change it out.
  3. Thank you Bansh-eman and Kiel for the speedy response. thank you. i will go get some engine ice tomorrow then. great!!! hopefully i will be able to get this thing started up and do the "break in" this weekend.
  4. ok. now i have questions about coolant. i read people talking about water wetter, and engine ice (is there a difference? which is better?). i have also heard that you aren't supposed to use regular antifreeze in banshees. what i'm trying to figure out is what i am supposed to use for coolant. i am not running it on a track or anything. do i just use water wetter mixed 50/50 with distilled water? or do i use antifreeze of some sort? my other bike is a blaster so i didn't deal with coolant. thanks.
  5. personally, i like the before pics better. but that's just my opinion.
  6. 30 from washington state.
  7. that was pretty cool.
  8. well i can tell you that the 2GU on the motor case is not from a '05. it should start with 3GG to be an '05. but that doesn't mean much either. he could have broken the cases and replaced the cases.
  9. i have actually seen the victory bumper on a raptor 660. i thought it looked pretty cool on there. but i don't know how good it would look to have wonder woman's chastity belt on the front of a banshee.
  10. JKJK, that is one sic '66. do you have a link for that Nova forum? i'm curious do they stop at '74 or do they include the '75-'79 novas in that forum? it's the body style everybody leaves out.
  11. either NYUK or Minkia38 will have everything you need. both are good upstanding guys.
  12. nah, i would drive the 2 1/2 hours to Portland for a set of free pistons (in the next size i will need (65.50 mm). hell i would even bring you some beer. LOL. of course i probably wouldn't need them for quite a while. haha. send them back. tell them they sent the wrong ones.
  13. i am also bored .50 over. i found my top end kit (no wrist pin bearings) for $150 shipped to my door. and yeah Firehead not everybody is lucky enough to be able to get free pistons. although if you want to hook me up, i won't complain. LOL
  14. wiseco----------$145 go with the wiseco.
  15. thanks again guys for all of your help.
  16. i never thought of that. will that really work? or are you being sarcastic? also that brings up another question. i know some people use threebond (instead of yamabond). but i couldn't remember what stuff it was. well the stuff i got was threebond 1104 (for sealing my cases back together, that's what they gave me at the motorcycle shop) will that work or do i need to take them apart again and use something else. also will that work for my clutch cover? thank you to all three of you (Bansh-eman, dajogejr, FireHead) for your responses. i'm just trying to finally get this thing together so i can finally start it up.
  17. has anybody cut their own clutch cover gasket out of that roll of gasket material? reason i am asking is because i need a clutch cover gasket and i have a roll of that stuff laying around. should i use it or should i just wait the week to get one from my local stealership???
  18. yeah just hit me up. the fronts are simple.
  19. truthfully, i would say just leave them alone. if your cylinders are at 66.50 mm bore then they are on their last oversize. so they aren't worth spending the money on porting them. i would suggest getting a set of stock bore cylinders and paying to get them ported.
  20. i'm 6'2" 165 and i have a 2000 blaster and it hauls me around pretty good. i'd say definitely ditch the 250 4-stroke for it if it's in good shape.
  21. how come there are never pics of nekkid chicks from Glamis??? i know they are out there.... still great pics looks like a lot of fun.
  22. yes you have to split the cases to change the seal. but it is not that hard to do. i just did it for the first time a couple weeks ago. like i said it was simple.
  23. congrats. glad to hear things went well.
  24. well if it's bone stock then you need to start with a good set of aftermarket pipes (check the for sale section, you can find them cheap).
  25. i'd say if it is in good shape, other than just needing a bore and a top end kit, it's worth the $1000 he's asking for it. you could get at least that much (probably more $$$) by parting it out if you decided not to keep it for yourself.
