  1. hey, i'm hoping somebody on here can help me out pretty quickly. i sold a set of brakes to a guy and realized that one of the soft lines were split. so i sent him the brakes minus one brake soft line. does anybody have one laying around that they would be willing to sell me and ship it to this kid for me? thanks.
  2. i have cut the rear of the plastic. tell me what you think??? i think it looks better.
  3. i used a utilty knife to cut my fenders it worked pretty good. it doesn't make as much of a mess as the other methods i have tried.
  4. thanks for all the great replies. i am going to try to find some paint to match them up to the front plastics this weekend. i will get pics when i get them all done.
  5. yeah i have seen those tires before... i traded a set of sand sharks for those. i have never used them yet. the guy i traded for them said he liked them only reason he traded me is because he wanted some 8"rims and tires and i wanted 10's. like i said, i haven't had the chance to use them yet though.
  6. yes you CAN run without it... BUT i wouldn't run without it because it is just going to eat up your swingarm and your chain. so just find a chain slider you can live with and use it.
  7. my only suggestion is keep it in your possesion until he gets you paid back.
  8. ok i got pics of them on the bike now. i plan to paint them so that they match. any way here's pics of the bike as it sits now... i'm still trying to decide if i want to do some more cutting on them. so i took some electricians tape and blacked out what i am thinking of cutting off. tell me if you guys think i should make the other cuts or if i should leave it as it is above. (i only taped one side of the bike for now) this was just a quick 2 minute tape job just to get an idea of what i wanted to do. if i actually do cut them i will measure everything out and make sure it's all straight. yes Kaos, those points are sharp as hell. i was kind of going for a "Batman's guantlets" look. i'm thinking about rounding them off a little bit.
  9. great guy to deal with. i would definitely buy from him again.
  10. and here's what it looks like from the front...
  11. well i had a set of plastics that had a couple of minor cracks in them. so i decided to cut them to get rid of the cracks. i think they look pretty good. i may do some more cutting on them but for now i think i will wait. i cut them using a utility knife. anyway, here's the pics tell me what you think.
  12. yes a stock banshee carb will work (its basically the same carb) but why would you do that? if the keihin carb works good then i would stick with it.
  13. project blaster is ok but this forum http://s14.invisionfree.com/Blaster_riders/index.php in my opinion is much better. ToTech (Sprntr81 on here) is a kick ass blaster motor builder. he is over on that forum.
  14. you couldn't have picked 2 better guys to deal with. both Jeff (F.A.S.T.) and David (Noss Machine) are top notch guys.
  15. hey i'm still waiting to hear back from you on the stuff i pm'ed you and e-mailed you about last week. need prices...
  16. i like the looks of the black arms.... is it just me or are your wheels \ / ?
  17. i would say go with the black arms if your swingarm is black. i couldn't tell from the pics.
  18. why are you telling him to take the tie-rod end out of the spindle??? that is totally unnecessary. all you have to do is loosen the jam nuts and turn the tie-rod. one end is regular thread and the other end is reverse thread. so you turn the tie-rod one way and it lengthens it, you turn it the other way and it shortens it.
  19. HA!!!!! I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO RIDE AGAIN!!!! glad to hear it.
  20. dude with a DG pipe you should only be running maybe a 250-260 jet. with the k&n and the lid off i would guess at most you should be running maybe a 270 jet.
  21. so i can just get rid of all of the tors stuff? cool. and as for the rest of the wires should i just cut the plugs off and put on quick disconnects? since the plugs don't connect to each other?
  22. yes it is a green wire with a yellow stripe.
  23. yeah i would like to know this as well since that is my next step pulling this rz350 bottom end apart to make sure everything is in good shape.
  24. ok as some of you know i am building my first banshee out of spare parts... well, i put the wiring harness on and i have everything figured out as to which wires go where (yes i have a clymer manual 88-95). everything is good until i got to the cdi. my cdi has 2 plugs on it (a white plug and a black plug). well the wiring harness has 2 plugs as well (both white plugs)... the one plugs directly into the white plug on the cdi, the other one which should plug into the black plug is a 5 wire plug... all of the wire colors match up except the five wire plug has a green wire that my cdi doesn't have. now here's my question... what does the green wire go to? i'm thinking that maybe it has something to do with the brake light??? i'm thinking that i have a wiring harness that is either newer than my cdi or i am missing a piece to my wiring harness that goes from the 5 wire plug to a four wire plug and that green wire must go some where other than the cdi.
  25. ray i hate to say it but they didn't make j-arm frames for 1998 banshees. lol.
