iv kinda got the same setup. ive ran 17-39 not my cup of tea. now i run 15/40. which is good for where i ride. went to little sahara last weekend and i needed different gearing. so when i go there since the hills are way steeper than dumont im going to need 15/42or43 probably. best thing to do is try them all and see what works for you and when you find it sell the ones you will not use anymore. i mean this could get figured out in 1 dya of riding.

i was wondering because its getting a little cooler this week. i checked out dumont and it going to be like 90, so i figured gosa would be a little cooler than that.

do you know what the turnouts going to be for gosa this weekend?

right now im at 172 mains, 50 pilots with ceg needles. that for dumont though. do you usually change from dumont to gosa?

ive ran the motul for 4 years without any problems. none of my bikes detonated. and many builders told me to use it, good for powervalves. i talked to hjr and he runs supertechniplate so im going to give it a try. got to love that smell. couldn't go wrong with either of those oils though. motul costs more though.

try this: BR8ES plugs gaped at 25 thou.

I just recently drove my bike down to kevin at hjr. this is the second motor i've had done by him. I picked up his 421 cub. bike details are in my sig. just this last weekend i went and picked it up. He has a normal 9to5 and he meet me on his lunch break which was really cool and made things easy for me. The next day i took it out to dumont for 2 hours and it ran really well. I pulled up to banshee hill and unloaded my truck and the first thing that pulls up is a banshee with a yamaha r1 motor in it. The guy was bragging that it had 150hp to the wheels. I was like a f*ck just my luck i going to lose on my first race on my new motor Turns out when we raced i beat him every time. After the first two races the guy finally stop and pulled off his helmet and goes his tire pressure is way off and started letting air out of his tires. So i stop to let my bike cool down and we start talking and he asks what do you have in that thing a 12 mil.And my girlfriend and i started laughing. I said nope a 4. and he said get the fuck outta here. I was like my bike probably has 85-90hp. so he continued to let air out of his tires. then we raced 5 more times and same result. I would get him by 4 to 5 bike lengths. I am extremely happy with the work i got done by kevin. Also a want to that lowbuck for helping me out with this build also. he's a great guy. :biggrin: now i think its time to put her on some alky. kevin get ready for the phone call.
