  1. Just be prepared to smoke the top once
  2. I was wondering how much weight difference there would be between the stock rear end.ie: lock nut, brake hub, sprocket hub, axel, and rear wheel hubs. And compare that to a complete lonstar set up. is is worth the switch. also do you gain any bike lengths with the lonestar setup. i found a complete setup for like 760 new. was thinking about going that route. any info would help
  3. I've seen those on eBay before. I always wondered about them also.
  4. the only person there i would talk to would be kyle. dude looks like bam margera. I dont know that much about the cylinders. I used to have one and got rid of it due to nobody where i lived wanted to work on it. kyle should be able to help you out.
  5. after running alky i will never go back. and either will your buddy. I would recommend kevin though, i hear rob from rdz can be a douche bag. unless your sepnding a retarded amount of money with K&T you'll get a cookie cutter job, the mass produced shit they send out to other shops. because many shops really dont do their own porting, they outsource it to places like K&T. I out ran a K&T drag port 421 with mine and it was the same exact setup, except he had out of frame pipes and more paddles and i would beat him. tell him to just give kevin a call.
  6. what are they going to do for you? the one down in riverside right?
  7. since your going that route i have some shearers all be getting rid of this week. the toomy's you'll have to get rid of. ill give you a good deal and you wont have to worry about shipping because im on vegas also. they'll come with billet hangers and billet clamps. i only have 3 rides on these pipes also. let me know also the guy at pure evil said my bike on anyones dyno would for sure hit over a 100. we could even got out for a day and i could let you take it for a spin.
  8. the dyno is just a number. i have the setup your talking about right now except 39mm pwk carbs on alky with kevins drag porting and it took a while to get it to run but its fast. theres a guy on here that goes by high octane junky, ask him how my bike runs. he was there at the last night drags. he has a 100hp 485 cheetah and my bike would beat him pretty bad. i still have a lot of tuning to do with my bike also, and its an all stock chassis nothing lightened. the thing with keihin replacement parts are easy to come by.not as easy for the lectrons. theres a company here in vegas that messes with lectrons. its caalled pure evil racing. there on craig road. hit him up he'll give you a good deal. oh yeah he helped me tune my bike at the races ask him how my bike ran, he was really impressed with kevins porting.
  9. sorry to butt in your thread. but dont see to many pj threads. is it possible to run gas jets on the carbs with a power jet for alky. or does every setup need it main drilled? sorry joe
  10. maybe you should think about keeping them around. having alky and gas carbs around is a good idea. maybe one weekend your dragging, but the next you want to dune around with buddies. just a thought.
  11. check out this guys ad on craigslist. http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/mcy/1253846831.html
  12. the count down begins until you get a cub. 100,99,98,97
  13. you should make a signature for yourself with all your mods that are done to your bike, and you'll get more accurate answers for questions that you'll be asking from here on out. just keep her updated
  14. bump up the timing a little, and get domes that will get you around 145-155 compression
  15. in vegas with kevins stock cylinders he ported for me i was at 187. with 17cc. my elevation was above 2000ft. check out nossmachine.com . what kind of coolhead is it?
  16. in a perfect world those domes should get you at least 184-195 compression. this is one a fresh rebuild. best thing to do is get a good compreesion tester and go from there. better to be safe than sorry. call the guy in my sig. he knows a few things.
  17. same as high octane. if you were anywhere close to las vegas id buy it for sure. maybe you should make a trip. sweet bike.
  18. .045 thru .055 any lower than .045 less reliable. Ive heard of people running as low as .035. those people i guess can afford to tear down motors every couple weeks and replace parts
  19. thanks man
  20. thanks man. they said it will be on the sidelines for a couple weeks. have to send the jugs out to get replated. ill give it one more chance. and if i cant get it right im selling and buying a long travel sandrail. what is uccr?
  21. ]thats what it is for hill shooting and dragging
  22. i was only able to ride it 6 seconds wide open maybe. never even got to launch it. according to them they actually still had it fat. i have numerous dyno sheets from them. they said when i brought it to them the jetting was way off. they drilled out like 8 mains to get it close. then they were still off. they actually had to start running gas jets they said. to get the air fuel mixture close.
  23. dyno tires slicks. they said they get the dyno checked regulary by dynojet down the street. they compared powerhouses, atv cycle sports, and quadmania. on average 10-15 horsepower higher on others dyno's. i didn't even have alky domes. i was running 127 compression in the cylinders. hit them up if your close on jetting it should be relatively inexpensive to dyno yours if your interested.
