the ratings for AV gas are a little differant then race gas because they are rated for high altitudes, but they are 100-115 octane, and it has lead in it as well. lead is good for 2 strokes. well really any motor that doesnt have an O2 sensor.
yea let me know, Kev isnt too far from my house about 30 mins maybe, they have some Holeshot tires on them, so you will need to pull them off, but you can sell them if you want and use that money for the build too. i have no use for any of it.
Low buck I have a nice set of Douglas wheels I will give you. I wowuld rather not ship them becasue its a shit load to mail that but if your in San Diego I will meet with you and give them to you.
carbon buildup has nothing to do with detonating (assuming you dont have a hotspot from it). if you have alot of carbon its because your running too rich. the differance in .5 degrees will make almost no differance. what compression does your motor have? also list all your mods. and jetting
There is also alot of 8mil cranks I have been reding about latley. They run them in a 7-8mil class. Not sure if they are more for the 250R motors or banshee because its not really specific.
dude dont go lower then that! dont let the cheap fuckers weasle you out of your money. put it on ebay or try some of the other drag forums. you spent a ton on that thing and its brand new! how long have you had it? maybe try returning it?
oh snap i need to get you to order me a few allen bolts for my lockup cover.... anyone know what the size and pitch of the allen bolts for the outer ring of the cover are???
hey man what else is still needed? lets get this mother fucker built guys! I cant belive anyone is sitting on thier asses after seeing what they could win for simply donating extra parts they have laying around!
the fittings are pretty universal. Not sure what the length is on them, ask them to messure them and then see how long you need. as long as the length is good they should fit.
ahhh stop being a pussy! lol its a tiny hole and the switch will plug it up, then you screw it down and it looks like thats where its suppposed to be. I drilled mine after having them painted and it didnt hurt a thing.
The wiring is very simple. I am not electrically inclined by any means, and I was able to do it. It's pretty straight forward
I will try to grab you a pict when i get home today, but i have a CR250 kill switch and then got a 2stage toggle from radio shack and wired it to the lights. Drilled a hole in the tank cover and screwed it in there
hopfully i can get ahold of you before you leave... pm me your number so we can meet up! its scuba steves b-day so its going to get ugly! at least for him
Ground up builds are going to cost you alot more! Depending on what kind of bike your looking at building will determine the price but i spent around 18k total on everything (includng the cost of the bike) I am getting to ride it for the first time this week end since my new build. After that I am going to be selling it, and my trailer. If your interested hit me up i am in San Diego. the link in the 2nd post is my bike i'm selling
yea i was looking at map quest and decided on 5-405-101. i was going to hit 166 but i could tell it turn into a small shitty road by the nation park area.
i have heard guys hold the throttle open after you kill it, but it doesnt make much sense. Holding it open with the motor dead but the thing stil turning is going to draw A/F in which will make a coat on the plug. I do the run and let off the gas when i kill it
