  1. i can vouch for the TCs as well, SoCalinIt has them on his wifes bike adn it rides awsome! but like wesw said they are $$$
  2. do this, Buy the flywheel puller, and pull the flywheel. then unbolt your staors and plate. swap it out for the new stator and plate and set the timing you want from the case halfs being your refferance point. and then bolt the flywheel back up. its a good idea to dab some super glue on the woodruff key to hold it in place when trying to set the flywheel back on. you dont want the key to shift. also when you go to remove the flywheel dab a small amount of greas on the threads and on the tip of the puller that meets the crank so you dont risk stirpping it out. i would buy two puller at the same time. they are a weaker metal then the flywheel so they can break very easily to insure your flywheel doesnt get jackedup in the process.
  3. its a reverse threaded fine pitch tool that has a smaller bolt that goes through the center to push against the crank and remove the flywheel
  4. you probly have high 40's to low 50's hp, there are alot more factors to determine top speeds. tire size , wieghts, rider skills, porting, elevation, ect
  5. the average rider will not notice a differance. the idea behind the dual tripple and quad rate springs is that they have differant stiffnesses to help on multipul surface types. I just re-read your first post and saw you are going to be buying a 450 soon, if you plan on doing that i would honestly hold off your going to spend a fwe hundred on the shocks and if you sell the bike your not going to get your money back. i wold save the money for the 450
  6. that should be taken into account for all shocks
  7. pm sent
  8. another thing to add to j's post is, if you didnt tape it pull the packing out and use some tape to wrap it up nice and tight. this will help to get it back in there. dont cover the whole thing just wrap enough to pull the pakcing down to the core and slide it back into place.
  9. you dont have to get a rear if you dont want to, but it wouldnt hurt the ride by any means to get it. You can always have the spring color changed, you just have to pay a little more. If you plan on buying them new, contact works and ask them. http://www.worksperformance.com/html/home.html
  10. look at a set of Works Performance Shocks. They have several differant modles, for the weekend warrior there is no need to drop 1400 bucks on some Elka Elites, just get the Works AT Steelers for the front and Quad Star for the rear and you will see a huge differance.
  11. What kind of silencer is it? Some of them are a pain to get back on, some have the screen in the center and it slides over a very small perforated lip on the other end of the housing to keep it from slipping. As long as you didn
  12. If it IS leaking then yes it can cause huge problems. If you have ran it for 20 hours I very highly doubt that it's leaking. You would have done the damage and locked the motor up within the first hour.
  13. SoCalinIt goes like every 2 weekends or so, they hit the drags to tune thier shit. Hit him up
  14. WORD BABY!!!! DAT NIGGA SHOT ME!!!!
  15. Humm thats interesting, most AV 110 is leaded.
  16. find an upholstery warehouse near you and buy ome marine material, then take it to a upholstery shop and they can make it for you. i paid 45 bucks and they installed it to the seat
  17. Let me talk with the warden and look over my work scedual and i will tke another day off so we can do another 3 day trip again. I'll let you know asap
  18. Like title says I want some Smooth Buffed fronts that are mounted, they have to mount to stock spindles. Let me know what you got!
  19. it would make sense for that to be the case, but I'm not chemical engineer so IDK
  20. if it is pushing the bond out your cases might be warped.
  21. Any company that will warranty a product do to abuse is foolish imo. They are making products to make money, not to replace every thing they make do to neglect or just plain ignorance. If the item is built well you dont need to have an absurd warranty. The quality of work speak for its self. There is a reason Toyotas have a 3 year warranty and Kia's have a 10 year.
  22. i dont see anything problem with mixing, i ran 50/50 all the time back in the day. i was thinking more along the lines of having so much comprssion on a fule with low octane. thats a ton of compression especially at that altitude.
  23. i find it very unlikley that your moto runs well on 50/50 with 195 psi compression
  24. Mine are good, I havent done alot of riding on them but they show zero signs of any problems, and i beat the shit out of them this trip, plus i almost biffed it HARD and they where champs thorugh it
  25. We might be down for sept. august is a little too packed for me right now. I will have to talk with the warden. this time i think we will leave the trailer at home and just truck my bike up there.
