there is no reason to heat the metal up to extract that bearing. go spend like 20 bucks and get a bearing removal kit. that bearing is ez to get out but you will messup your seal... also get some assembly grease to help put the new seal back in...and dont thorw out your old seal just yet your going to use it to guide your new seal in... once you get the old shit out do this to put new ones in. put small amount of assemb grease on the inside of where the seal goes and on the seal, put the seal in as far as you can trying to keep it flat, once it stops put the old seal ontop of the new one and tap with a hammer to push the new seal all the way in. it HAS to be all the way in or you will get a leak.if you do a search i had this problem before and showed pict of it. once the seal is all the way in you can push th new bearing in with ease. and reassemble the other parts. the biggest pain is the seal its a very tight fit.

ez way to drain the collant is pull the large line that connect to the clutch cover. once its all drained out blow back through that hose or the top of the radiator if you can get to it and push the remaining fluids out. its not hard youll see once you do it

Clutch Plates, fibers w heavy duty springs
Bansh-eman replied to Satsol67's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
1 If I use the heavy duty springs will it make the tug on the clutch cable much harder? or should I just leave the ones that are in it? when you use the HD springs your clutch will be much stiffer then befor assuming you didnt have HD's already. but your clutch will hold much beter and not slip. 2 Is there any specail trick in replacing them? From the way the book looks like it they are offset. Is that correct? no special trick to puting them on you just got to torque them down and use the torque pattern to spread the pressure evenly. just do one and then the fathest from it and so on all the way around. 3 Am i going to need a specail tool to remove the pressure plate? no specail tools needed you use a phillips head screw driver and a open end wrench to hold the asher on the plate to remove it. be sure not to strip the head out. -
oil dipstick cracked off...now what?
Bansh-eman replied to BIG_BLUE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
the stock dip stick is plastic so your not going to strip anything but that and its already broken so you need a new one any how... take the clutch cover off, to do this you might need to get an impact driver that you hit with a hammer to jar it lose. after that you can remove the dipstick with a set of pliers and you might need to get a new gasket once you pull the case. -
i as well have the bowl welded. but the spacers have nothing to do with performance, its an alternative to welding the bowl much like the jugs spacer and cutting domes for a long rod stroker.same solution for a problem just two differant way of fixing it.

Little Radiator Hoses, Where They Go?
Bansh-eman replied to IROOST1's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
the vent hose coimg out of the left side clutch cover goes to a T from there another vent hose at the top back part of the motor goes to the same T then th breather hose goes over the top of the motor to vent them both, the radiator hose from under the cap goes to the overflow bottle but to be honest you dont needit you can jst run the hose down the frame at the front and tie it off like i did. -
Clutch cover vent tube routing question
Bansh-eman replied to Ducman's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i had the same question when i did mine... the vent coming from the clutch cover goes to one end of the T then at the back of the motor near the swingarm there is another vent, that goes to the other part of the T then the other hose is a breather for both of them that goes over the top of the motor and hangs . i also thought that the coolant over flow connected to it but after looking closer and asking a few buddies on here i found where it rerally goes. -
man thats casue your a flatbiller lol j/k , i just repacked both my FmF's and it was ez as fuck... the hardest part was lining the core to the end of the silencer and once i sat down and took my time i got them both on in a matter of min's.

Not entirely true. some of them yes they are very well educated. but for the most part that is only the leaders of the terror cells and higher. for the most part the guys and girl carrying out the attacks are uneducated and have been trianed to do the only thing that is required of them for the part of their role in an attack. iv been to Iraq a few times and for the most part we where fighting young kids 14-18 and most of them where getting paid to do it or being forced to. there is no dought that there will be more attempts and im sure some of them will be successful, thats the way these things work. you cant stop them all, where there is a will there is a way. im all about shooting mother fukers coming over here illegaly. as a matter of fact my buddies and i are making a trip to Jacumba Ca and riding the days and going immigrant hunting at night. talked to the Border Patrol and they can use all the help they can get. iv fought my fair share to protect this country out of the U.S. , now its time to fight on my own turf!

It broke off, footpeg bolts? Anyone
Bansh-eman replied to IROOST1's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
if the bolt broke off in side you can try to tap a screw driver in it and turn it out... im not sure how hard the metal is on those bolt, if that doesnt work you can always drill it. check sears im sure they got something that will bite into the bolt and help pull it out -
i had the same problem... check your jets first of all make sure thery are the same, then check your idle screw both need to be same. after that if its still hot check the bottom screws on your jugs, mine where lose and made a leak and cause the heat. may have a leak chack all your o rings and gaskets.
