  1. with 35 pwks at around the same alttitude you should be in the ball park of 155 main 48-52 pilot cel needle 4th clip so yours shouldnt be much off from there...
  2. call jeff hes got them for like 7- bucks or something like that
  3. contact sredrum on yfztech.com he is very well known on there for his tapered carbs. talk to him to ee if he can do anything for you. i havent heard of many ppl with 2 strokes doing taper bore. let me know how that works out for u cause thats more of a 4 stroke thing
  4. it depends on what pipes they are. fatties CPI and Shearers i know all only use 1
  5. pretty much any compentant machine shop can do it for you. it shouldnt be more then 35 bucks or so. should be able to get it back in 1 or 2 days. its nothing mor then choking it up on the mill and taking some metal off.
  6. i have heard of only a handful of people that tried them... some liked , some hated... for around the same price you can go with something that has been proven in hundreds of differant applications. do see a reason to even bother other then to try and be differant?
  7. anti freeze is not a coolant, it has a slight cooling capability how ever its purpose is to keep the fluid from freezing in the winter. you should drain your system and run either distilled water and water wetter or engine ice as a coolant. also look at getting a billet water pump impeller if you havent got one already. 120 psi is fine. as long as your within 10 lbs on each cylinder your fine. as far as cutting your head goes it depends on what your trying to accomplish. if your just wanting more compression and still able t run pump gas you "should" be ok with 20 thousandths. the only 100% for sure way to know if your safe though is a compression test.
  8. normally if your shift shaft is out of adjustment, you wont be able to shift under power or not under power. either way it wont turn the drum... sounds like your basket is grooved.
  9. its not a usable file type, its a flash file and you have to download some getto player for it to work...
  10. shearers are very bad about leaking at the same spot... even with new orings. you might try getting soem hitemp silicon and making a nice bead and putting the pipes on.
  11. how old is the bike? whens the last time the topend was rebuilt? have you checked to see if your plugs are fouled? are you getting spark? has the bike sat ofr any period of time before riding it? list mods as well
  12. clucth as well... after deciding if your really looking to gian all that hp your going to need a clutch that will hold all the power. along with a clutch comes harder shifting. its smart to look at a override. dave says it all the time. it doesnt make scence to drive a dragster to get groceries. just becasue your reading about everyone getting cubs dosent mean its the end all be all for you. its all about what type of riding your going to be doing. dont follow the pack just becasue of what you have read. make sure your going o need these things before you start dropping some seriouse cash into it. remember your not going to drop in one mod at a time. theres always more to it then that. porting you need carbs and pipes. stroker you need porting and suspesion and clutch. swinger you need chain. and so on.. its never one for one.
  13. read this... Plug Chop
  14. for general riding like duing and some drags its pointless to get a lockup coiver to simply see your clutch. if your having to keep an eye on it that much you got more problems to be trying to track down. and theres no need to straight cuts for what he is doing. just grab a billet basket and you willbe good. once you start getting more hp then worry about a lockup and cover. until then there is plenty of mods you can do to gain power from.
  15. i think your best bet would be CPI although like dave said they suck where they meet the filters, for what your trying to get they will be your best bet.
  16. the pancake isnt a must. the only time your going to weld it up is if you drag your bike with the clutch pulled or your clutch is out of adjustment.
  17. im glad you typed it ad not me jay:) well put
  18. the star mod bolt right on your shift drum, it pretty nice.. will help you if you have problems going from 1st to 2nd .
  19. spelled ur screen name wrong sry
  20. Awsome to deal with, transaction was as smooth as O.J. getting away with murder. paid super fast, would do business again in a heart beat.
  21. the only way to 100% sync your carbs is to messure the amount of air they are pulling. im not exactly sure what your referring to. some swear that they can get them synced by eyeing it but its just not going to happen. yes u can get lucky and land it right but your not going to get it ass on wthout a tool
