  10. he isnt going to a -2 he just wants to take off 2 inches from his +6 to make it a +4... its too long for what he is riding... George, look around and see if anyone wants to trade you. Yes you can cut it but that is goig to be the weak link in your swinger. its better not to subject its integrity if you dont have to. but like i said you can do.
  11. the differance from lid off to no air box is not going to make that big of a differance in his jetting. a 310 is right where he needs to be. at most he is one size small, but i doubt that even
  12. both are very good all around pipes. they are very closely campaired. either way you go you will be happy. keep in mind the T-5 are more desired so they will generally sell for more used then the stage 4's
  13. its not needed. you can either plug it or epoxy it or what ever. just remember your going ot have that small hole where the hose comes out. but the vent isnt needed.
  14. ahh thats bullshit. hopfully he has uninsured motorist coverage... how old where those little fuckers?
  15. what wash where you at? to closer to the store the more crowded they get. i had to take casper back to camp from china wall becasue he was getting a flat. came through 22 and there was like 6 trailers there
  16. they are pretty much identical. i have the white knuckle. its fine. i wouldnt worry that the finish might look a tiny bit better on the boss you cant see if any how. you got to keep in mind alot of these companies are small shops and they travle across country often for races.
  17. you should have a sticker on the switch that shows you what switch makes what setting
  18. AHH YES!!! first bit of good news!!! jeff installed it, i went hands off the motor this build i didnt have the time to do it my self
  19. i got to see if he even would warranty it. if not im going else where to get one. not about to spend another 400 bucks on something that broke the VERY first time to use it AND have to wait half a year again
  20. yor fine starting it as long as its jetted for your temp... mke sure you let it get nice and warm before you get on the gas any....
  21. not true.... at sea level on stock porting stock carbs with airbox lid off and pipes. a 310 main should be right on the money. way back in the day i ran a 310 main 27.5 pilot stock needle 3rd clip 2.5 turns and was spot on
  22. George. My Marvin is set to like 600 psi. Try that and see how well it works. ither ay with that long ass swinger you got now you need to revalve that thing!
  23. to add with the above... also if your prone to crashing paint isnt the best choice as well
  24. Well after a year of total bullshit with the rebuild i finally got the thing back together and took it out for pres weekend. The VERY first ride on it I started having issues with what sounded like the clutch or lockup. So i loaded it up into the truck and hauled it back to camp. The rest of the trip i rode my wife bike. Got home and started opening it up. took the whole clutch apart not a single thing wrong. so i put it back together and realize i forgot a washer that goes behind the innre clutch hub. so i once again drain the oil and start pulling it apart. get everything back on and pour the oil back in and hey what do you kno a nice large hunk of metal. What appears to be either the end of a gear or possibly the dogs of one. i wont find out until i finsh removeing the motor later this week and split the cases. Just as i thought all my shity luck had finally ran out now i have a 400 dollar brand new Duneable override get wasted on the first trip. Hopefully it has some type of warranty being it is BRAND new!!!
  25. The registration is the same as a drag car. it only applies if your using it on gov land i.e. roads or national parks. race track and private land they can not do a thing about it.
