We were hoping to make a racing trip to MI. (1,900 miles one way) in late Aug. These gas prices have me re-thinking the road trip. I've have always thought I wouldn't make a long trip if fuel was over $3.50 a gal. Does anyone else have a fuel price limit for big trips?

Here's a pic of the basic set-up. We activate it with a push button by the left handlebar grip. The ignition kill is adjustable from 20-90 milliseconds depending on what is needed. It can also be used to activate different devices also.

We use it for the 5 & 6 shift primarily, but it can be used on all the gears. We use a Dyna shift counter/ignition kill. You can use the above item, but it's not a plug & play deal. All we do is hit a button to kill the ignition at the same time as clicking the gear lever. It can also be tied into/with an air shifter.

When we were building the DMX with K&T. We discussed the 4s vs. 3s for the motor. They didn't want to use them because of no experience with them. Have you had any dyno time with them in a DMX.

Yep on different forums. I had 1700camaro on all forums. Then on two of them they got changed. HQ of course is SlowerThanYou & on Planet Sand they changed my name to Slow Banshee. I guess they where worried about something or trying to piss me off. I'm not the fastest, but our performance doesn't resemble either name. I've taking a liking to both names, but prefer SlowerThanYou!

The aluminum is almost as pure as we can get it. It's pretty soft compared with other aluminum. It has its limitations, but works great for learning machining. I'm lucky to have a sponsor that's a pretty good darn machinist & willing teach.

It depends on what you are using it for. We use it for our 5 & 6 gear shifts on asphalt. Some use it on all gears for asphalt. The times I have tried to use it on sand it didn't work. That could be that I didn't spend the time tuning it for sand. As with anything tuning is the key. Our set-up is adjustable in milliseconds & IMO works the best.

I got the wheel back from having it hard anodized. I'm not real happy with quality, but it's just a sand wheelie bar wheel. I have to figure out how I'm going to get the Miller Light logo on it & then clear coat it.

My adopted son, he's the lightest of the 3 of us. He was probably around 175 lbs. at that time. I think he got down to 160 when he took the bike to Gilbert, LA. last Apr. He has the quickest time on sand with our bike.
