I had the same problem and after I cleaned the choke circuit on both carbs the problem went away. Now I just choke one carb and shee fires right up in two or three kicks.

I have learned that if I choke my quad and do not open the throttle it starts much faster. Opening the throttle defeats the choke circuit and makes my quad very hard starting.

I am going through the same issues at the current time. I put an air box on my bike so I could ride it here in Minnesota, had pods on before. I have an old JD Racing stroker motor with full drag port, T5's with hush kit, 185 compression running 110 race gas. With the pod setup my 28's are set up as follows; 160 mains 58 pilot JJH needle clip in 2nd position air screw 1 1/4 My elevation is 1,000' With this setup bike really rips with lots of throttle response. Now with air box on I have; 155 mains 58 pilot JJH needle clip in 2nd position air screw 1 1/2 Still not right but better, thinking about going to 152 mains, 55 pilots, same needles. Bile is currently very hard to start, I might have a problem with my choke circuit as if I prime a cylinder it will start up first or second kick. Anyone have a pair of 55 and 52 pilots that they are not using?

A lot of the quality antifreeze's use DI water as it is a step up from distilled water.

I have a +6 swinger with 15/42 gearing or 14/43 gearing for dunes and am running a 120 length chain. So I would say order a 130 and shorten it to the needed length.

Very good quality two stroke oil. Have seen it used in snowmobiles for the last few years. You have to "season" your motor before using it to reap the benefits.

I'm running 15/42 with my bike and love having use of all the gears. With my mods I have use of 1st some of the time but the bike is nasty fast and tops out around 80. At times I wish I had a little less porting.
