I think its 2.54.

YEs you can get it at any auto part store.Take a plug with you and get the fitting that screws in the sp hole the same leanth as the threads on the plug this will give you a accurate reading.Just take both the plugs out and screw the tester in and kick it with the throttle wide open.Check those floats first and see if thats not your problem, even if it is go ahead and buy the com.tester you will need it in the future.
-
64mm is stock im sure.

No a compression test is done with a compression tester. You can pick one up at about any auto parts store for 30bucks or so.It should read over 100psi if you dont need a rebuild. You kick the bike with the throttle wide open and the switch off untill it reaches the point where its not getting any higher.
-
Your floats in the carbs could be stuck or just set where they wont let any fuel in the bowls. You can check this by draining the bowls and blowing in the fuel inlet in the carbs if you cant blow thourgh them then they need setting. You need to do a compression test, this could be your problem, but if you arent getting any fuel then the compression wot matter.

Thats rite I picked a guy up from the atlanta airport on a normal august day here in ga,He was from vegas and he almost passed out before we got to the car.
-
Do a compression test.It sounds like its time for a topend.
-
Acuatly i beleave he did a search and found a thread that related to his question which is a good way to find info.

I would start with the bigger ones and work your way down. You will proably have to buy more jets,I doubt you will get it perfect with just those two choices.Ive never jetted a single setup but i would start with the clip in the middle and 1.5-2 turns out on the screw.
-
I have to agree ive seen very few motors that are getting fire fuel and compression that will not hit a lick.Ive seen some that wont idle or run worth a damn but the plugs will lead you to the problem.
-
After you kick it pull the plugs and tell us wether their wet ,dry or what.If its getting fuel, fire and has compression it shold atleast try to run.It sounds electrical to me.
-
Have you checked all the wires to make sure you dont have one grounding to something or each other?
-
I guess they could lower your compression a little but what is your elevation?I would guess if you were running 19s @185 you would be close to sea level and if this is the case than 155 is real low with 18s.
-
I would say that 175 is a good choice,but i would run atleast 106octane.
-
If the gauge is rite that is to low.

Sounds to me like you might want to look at a dune port 4mill stroker with a noss head at about 180psi or even a stk stroke dune port with that same compression and small carbs will produce a lot of lowend, atleast a hell of a lot more than stock. These options will be far cheaper and will run harder than that trinity setup from what ive seen.
-
You can try those.Froyour prveious jetting i would say you might end up with 280.The 280 sounds lean if your not say 4500ft though.I ran trinity pipes and pods with 340s at 900ft.

I was just thinking about a set of 4-snows.How do they do compared to the prowedge 2s. Ive seen some guys running both and the prowedges are just harder to find.As far as my carbs I just put my pjs on the other day and they run good,im still getting them dialed in but they are strong on top. However dont under estimate the stockers they ran really well and for a lot of aplications would be just as good or better than the bigger carbs. The 34s lost a little bit off idle to the stockers but made up the diffreance from there on they pull a bit harder thourgh the power and seem to rev a bit faster and they neverseem to fall off even if you overrev a bit. They pull longer in the top and are definatly better sutied for drag.I didnt go racing today so its hard to tell just how much faster they are without somebody beside me,but they are definatly faster.Im still running my stock cages and reeds and i know i need to upgrade but $200 bucks is hard to come off of for a set of reeds even though I know I will benfit from them more than before.Im really just getting started in the drags and have been in the process of putting together a 4mill but thats going to bump me up in a class that im not sure i want to run in,so im having 2nd thoughts about the 4mill.Like I said im just getting into it in a competive way and havent even raced in a truly santioned event,so im going to go check these two santioned tracks out and see what im going to be up against in the diffrent classes and go from there to make my next decisions.

I would have to disagree with this.Unless your sinking it up or crossing some deep water I woyld highly recommed the pods. Not only do they flow quite a bit better but they make about anything you do to the bike way easier.I cant say were you will be on your jetting without knowing your elevation, but if you were at 240 without the pods and not running lean then I would say start with a 280 or better yet start with a 300 and go from there try about a 27.5 pilot and see how it does compared to the stk pilot put your clip on the 4th slot on the needle and 1.5 turns out on the airscrew. This should get you started without blowing anything up and when you start doing all this jetting you will see one of the big advatages of the pods instatly.

I would say thats about right.I bought my 04 at the first of the year and it was bought new 6nonths before and i paid $2900.I think it was a steal the guy that had it was a rich guy and he said 2900 and i could not write the check fast enough, others that i had looked at in equill shape and age were in the range that you said.
-
Whats your elevation?Sounds lean to me unless your pretty high up.

My shee sounds like a diesel engine

200 psi is a bit high for my taste.Im running around 190 on 111octane with stk timing and havent had any problems. That just sound pretty high for 18s but every machine is diffrent. If I were you id pick up some 20cc domes and try to get it down around 175-185.With your compression that high your bottem end should be outstanding and your top suffering quite a bit.Other than that about all you can do is keep tring higher octane untill it quits detonating.I dont like running 190 but its not quite high enough for me to get another set of domes "I have 18s also" but if was as high as yours i would, most of the buliders Ive talked to dont like more than 185 on gas. What is your elevation? -
I talked to a guy the other day that was running t6s on a 4mill with drag ported cylinders and he said he had a set of t5s also and he prefererd the t6s even with his mods.I personally would prefer the cpis over the toomeys ,but if i already had the t6s i would atleast try them and put your cpis on and see if there was a big enough difference to justify buying another set of pipes.

Switch your plug wires and see if the problem switches also.

Well I got them on.I started at what he was running 145main 42pilot cel needles and it runs good.Im running the middle clip on the needle, havent really played with it yet it seems to pull hard all the way threw and the plugs look good.I cant tell a huge differance except that it moved some power off the bottom and added it to the top it seems to pull with about the same maybe a little more force, but it pulls quite a bit longer and it never falls on its face if you hold the gear a bit to long.Im sure theres some more power hiding in there just will take some tuning.I got wore out because i just slapped them on after i put my jets in and assumed it would run since they came off a running bike supposibly but if it was running it wasent running good. The floats were set where no fuel what so ever was getting to the bowl,so i had to take them back off and set that then it ran fine.I burnt a brand new set of outwears up,I new they were close but i was hoping they would hold up long enough to test it "stupid" I guess ill have to get some heat rap when i order my new ones.
