well i dont know cause i ve rode alot a bikes and been riding a long time and the only time i use the clutch is to get out of first.i power shift evry gear all the time and never had a problem.if anything its more consistant shifting if you ask me..even on motorcycles i do it.. :shoothead:

yea you see i cleaned the carb with carb cleaner.the only thing i didnt do was take that screw out cause i had nothing small enough.but everything else was sprayed..so the main jet is the one that hangs on the float,and the pilot jet is the 1 you got to screw out right.

where do you find 110+ octane? :thumb:

sounds good.r u talking about the needle thats in that cylender when you remove the carb?u know the 1 that remains on the top that has the idle screw? not rally i think its that little thing thats on the float in the carb..but what do you mean by plugged?

yea you see now thats what im talking about..how much that kit running? got a sight? but those arent stock right?

just wanted to know different ways to lower my banshee.especially the front a-arms?

is this why it only idles/stays on with the choke pulled all the way?

i just went to my bike.and like i said it wouldnt start without starter fluid...but what i did now was blew air in through the long line in the bottom of the carband the bike started up..and it wouldnt idle unless i held the choke wide open..unless i stood there holding the choke wide open it would shut off.but if i held it it stood on.does this help you?

thats the name of it compression tester?and i should be able to get it any a rs strause or pep boy? and i dont thimk my kill switch works.could that be a prob?

cool.the compression test is done with a tire gauge right?you take off the spark plug and put the tire guage in there and kick the bike like 5 times right?how much should the gauge read?

to tell you the truth i bought the bike from someone.all i know is that it has the toomey t5s on it. and yes it really dont start at all unless i put starter fluid into the carbs..

just wanted to know if this can cause any problems.my bike wont idle and backfires.seems not to be getting any gas..i think...cause the only way it turns on is if i put starter fluid into the carbs.itll turn on then turn off even if i hit it to full throttle..itll go on for a few seconds itll bog then turn off.sometimes itll catch and rev up while i hit it at full throttle but still will bog and eventually turn off... help

first off it is very hard to start.i can usually only start it if i spray starter fluid in the carbs through the air box.then once it starts it wants to turn right off.even if i put throttle fully open.you hear it bogging and it shuts off. i have no clue what to do.can anyone help.i changed the plugs there new.i cleaned the air filter..i even cleaned out my carbs.well to the best of my knowledge..i believe the carbs r stock.and i have t5s.
