  1. If your not getting fuel I almost guarentee the problem is there.
  2. Thats a little lower than 15/41 should work fine.
  3. Well you need to find out if thats th problem first. Its located on the bottom of the carb in the bowl its that big black thing that swings up and down if you didnt bend anything it should still be in adjustment you adjust it by bending the little tab that has thelittle valve hanging on it but it doesent take much to over do it. If you go to far it will flood the bowls and fuel will come out the ovwer flow to much the other way and no fuel will enter the bowl. Take them off and turn them up side down and see if that will reset them.Oh yea go first thing and pick up a climers.
  4. The tube that run sform on side of the carb to the other.Take the fuel line off the tank and see if you can blow thourgh it prferably one carb at the time if you cant then the float is proably stuck or out of adjustment.
  5. I was refering to the price. I picked my 04 up for $2800 and its a banshee about a year ago but the prices vary in diffrent ares.As for mixing the gas you just get you some quality oil and mix it with the gas, I use 4 ounces to the gallon. There will be other maintance needed but most of its pretty easy.If you like it and have the money get it youll like it.The prices you have mentioned just seem steep to me I also have a 02warrior that i paid $1700 for.On banshees the year doesent mean that much they havent changed anything but the switch to a-arms since 1987.Pay more attention to the condition and after markek stuff than simply just the year.
  6. Dont get me wrong i love to ride my shee in the woods. Ive been where he seems to be in making decisions as have many on this board.A banshee suits me because i love that hit.I just see alot of people making mods that they will proably later regret by this i include myself but live and learn i guess. I mean he may be building a one purpuse woods shee and thats cool and i hope he found my advice usefull. When i say ive been down this road i mean that I have ran many diffrent setups and all of them worked well just some better than others in there own situation.I ended up with a 4mill cub as my current setup and it suits me well but along the way ive piled up enough parts to build a couple of motors sorry about ranting on.Ive got a set of cylinders that i used to run that ran extremly well that i would be glad to mic and give yall the port timings and such just pm me if i can help.
  7. That should be allright, but its on the upper end in my opinion.
  8. Looks a little high to me.You should beable to find one like that for around 2500 or so maybe less if you really look.Ebay would be my first pick for places to look a bashee is somthing i really would not buy sight un seen.Look around on the classifieds here and planetsand and youll most likly get a better product if you cant find one locally. As for steping up from a warrior well lets just say if you like to go fast youll be happy but a banshee is a lot of work but if you enjoy doing things yourself and willing to learn it will be a good experince.
  9. You can go around 150psi on 93octane safely. If you really want lowend grunt as much as a banshee can have anyway stick with the stk carbs they peforme pretty well for that type of power and are easy enough to tune,But you can gain more lowend and roll on power from rasing the compression than most any other mod out there. The best results ive experinced were in the 185-190psi range on stk cylinders, however if you go that high you will have to run around 110 octane but if you can get it locally its a small price to pay for the results you will get.My experince with porting is the mre you do over a clean up the more pipey it will get the stk porting will produce plenty of power in the woods.Ive never gave this kind of advice on a banshee because in my mind your kind of going backwards, what i mean is there are much better suited quads out there for the trails like the 450s but hey whatever makes you happy. But anyway the higher compression will bring the lowend to life and you should be able to run a little better pipe than a knarly to keep from getting smoked by every 4poke out there. You should beable to run abou 21cc on pump and18s or 19s will put you in the 180-200 range.
  10. I like my trinity stage4s. Ive ran them from bone stk to my current 4mill cub stup and they just performed the hole way threw. If i switched to anything it would be one of the topend pipes but i proably wont switch unless somebody gives me a set.
  11. Allright this is my opinion. As for the pistons ive always had good luck with wiseco.Noss makes a real good head but im switching to a modquad because of the one piece desighn, Ill sell my noss if you want it.The ports depends alot on riding style. Carb setup dual 33pwks. Reeds vforce. Pipes get you a set of cpis they will be everything thee fattys are and much more. Dont mess with the key just get a adustable plate from rickystator. As far as thee noss head its a good product and david is a great guy to deal with the design is a pain in the ass in my opinion to take on and off.Ill let mine go for 145 without the domes.
  12. I ve got a set of drag ported stk stroke cylinders i migt let go and a 68mm cub set up for 4mill. pm me if your interested.
  13. Why are you even messing with blaster pistons. If your running a 4 mill with 115rods then you can run a 80 over 795 series piston or if your running 110 rods then just run standard pistons. Either way your going to have to have the domes cut and david noss can do it or many others but i agree with your elevation is the problem you said in a earlier post you were running vp so why dont you just slap some 18s or 19s in there hell at 4000ft maybe 17s and get some lowend. In my experince i like to run about 180psi im at 900ft and run 18s at 180 on my 4mill cub and it will snatch your arms off at the twitch of a thumb, but ive ran this 175-190 range on everthing from stk stroke stk port to drag ported stk cylinder with very good luck.
  14. I run this same motor setup with trinty pipes at 900ft and had the same problem.Drop your pilot down to about a 48 or 45 im running a cel needle on the top clip im going to richen it up a bit when i have time but havent really had a chance to dial it in since i built the motor but i could not get it to idle until i leaned the needle out.You also sound pretty rich on the main to me im at 155 but like i said i havent really had time to dial it in but i did check it and its not that far off. Good luck
  15. Too bad you didnt know enough about shit to say anything usefull.
  16. No its not worth it.It will make the transferrs smaller and there already a bottleneck. You will gain very little if any with bigbores and you would be better off with a good port job for a little more than the bigbore cost you could get a cub and see some real gains.
  17. You have to disconnect the tors the little blakbox under the tank and drill your carbs for the idle screws.
  18. If your running the airbox your jetting is close.
  19. The long rod will take a little stress off the piston skirt and produce a little broader powerband. The shortrod will rev a little harder and theoretically produce a little more hp because of crankcase volume at the expenese of piston wear.Oh yea i see you asked about blaster pistons unless you are going to resleeve your jugs which doesent make much sense unless they allready have a real high dollar port job the bigger bore wil make you about .5 to 1.5 more horse power at the higher risk of blowing orings and higher priced pistons.
  20. Are you running a single or a dual setup? If dual a 150 main and 50 pilot with the neeedle in the middle clip is a place to start.Im running 148mains 50pilot with a cel in the top clip.If its a single iIhave no idea but would guess the sizes would be quite a bit larger.
  21. Proably around high 50s. I would guess anybody running stk porting would be lucky to see anything above fifty.Sorry i didnt see the first guy had porting in his sig.
  22. I would say like 320 or so on the main because of the airbox, but like stated above the diffrent porting likes diffrent jetting so its hard to say.Somtimes when you port your main will drop in size stk or 27.5 pilot should be fine and proably about the middle clip on that needle. The main is the easiest to figure out just run it in 5th wide open for about 5sec and look at the plug. You should be between 1 and 2 turns out on the airscrew just play with it a bit and see how it acts
  23. Run your airscrew in to 1turn out. And see how it acts.If its more toward half throttle you may need to drop the clip on the needle to the bottom. But the choke is a good way to start finding out which way to go.You shouldnt need a 30pilot.How do your plugs look?
  24. I would not mess with the 30mm keihin look a likes.Ive heard alot of people having trouble with the slides in them.I run 34pjs and have no problem with the lowend, once you get in the power thye gain is worth the small loss of the bottom and i really didnt see a loss at all.I think 33pwks and up work well for most applications.I use my banshee for everything and I like the bigger carbs but they are a bit trickier to tune.
  25. Swap the plug wires and see if it switches sides.Look at the plugs see if the one thats not running is wet or dry.Keep switching shit from une sde to the other piece by piece untill you find the problem. This would be one way to figure it out.
