  1. The single 38mm carb wasn't real responsive for me.Maybe because of my elevation not sure.I never tried to dune ride it because of the light switch of the engine itself.Jeepman you got to remember that tim runs 210 pounds of compression and ALOT of timing on his setups. That makes alot of diffarence.I know you wont be runing that kind of #'s.(Again..My pleasure for the pipes)
  2. sandgrencivic2k1, You said you changed the gap on your plugs but did you replace the plugs with new.I ask because the issue you are haveing I went threw with my P.V cheetah also. The hole problem of mine was just the plugs them self.I replace the plugs with new ones and set the gap to 23 thousandths and fixed it.Just a thought for you.And if you can make it out to sand mountain on 8-13-8-16 sun-wed I'll be there tuning my cub and we can throw parts at it off my P.V 'shee at try and solve your problem.
  3. I can't stand it no more.I'm buying that quad. It's way faster then either of mine. :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  4. Yes 20 ft.-pounds and follow the sequence
  5. I used to run a 38mm 2 into 1 on my 06 'shee with cpi inframes and it ran very well.I decided to go with dual 38's and drag pipes because the single 38 and inframes were limiting the performance of my cub engine.
  6. asuming you have a 33 or 35mm keihin carb try a 195 main a 50 pilot 1 1/2 turns out on the air screw and a dek needle in the third notch.that should get you close.
  7. I tried some 28's taper bored to 29.5 the idle quality was crap but wide open they worked great. My .02 cents
  8. Thanks guys.I'm glad it all worked out in a timely manor.
  9. NOpe CR 250 reeds trex uses yz reeds
  10. Cheetahs use cr 250 reeds and as for power they can be the same or different depends on where you want the power.my cheetah is the same bore as my cub.cheetah is the way to go if you do anything else besides stricktly drag racing.
  11. At this point of my 'shee It wouldn't even be a race now.Like I said before I had a single 38mm carb set up and inframes with the V-paddles and stock swinger.I would love to be able to run your buddys 10 mil trex,I would bet I would take him also.
  12. Still slow for me and I'm on DSL pro  Maybe because I'm in the pacific time zone :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  13. I understand what you mean now.I apolagize for my Quote on you but I believe the :yankyank: was alittle premature.
  14. Check your math.He said 40 thousandths over bore that equells 65mm not 68mm. 58mm stroke and 65mm bore equells 385.
  15. Another thing you might check is what your mixture ratio is.When I put my cub together I had so much oil in the fuel for break-in and the first time I ran the engine up for full throttle run my plugs were gray also.I drained the tank and put the proper ratio in it and had proper color in the plugs.
  16. The right side carb feeds the two valves so thats the side that has the bigger main jet.
  17. I'm asuming that you put keihin pj carbs on it if so you turn the choke lever for the idle adjustment
  18. Call Tim at cascade tomarrow at 503-663-2887.They will have it.
  19. exactly
  20. Here's some K&N's and jets I have listed on ebay. http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZbansheeseatQ24Q24
  21. Jared, On your jeting start out with a 195 main and a 50 pilot and go from there that will probably be pretty close.
  22. Jared here is a diagram fron sudco.I don't see one. http://www.sudco.com/Diagrams123/exppwk.gif
  23. One other thing you could check is that the carb slides are not in the wrong carbs(IE switch when you had it apart).
