I have a friend that picked up an 88 banshee rolling chassis. He has some MONEY TO $PEND and wants me to help him find a motor. So we need just about everything...a complete motor really...minus pipes and carbs. He would like a motor "ready to run", but I'm thinking he might be better off finding the parts and building one. I guess we'll see what’s available and go from there. So let me know what you guys have to get rid off. Thanks -Ryan

WRONG! lol Sorry Tyler Look at my sig bro. I have 2008 YFZ 450 SE shocks with stock banshee A-arms on my shee and they work great. However, +2 A-arms would be that much better...but more expensive.

Matt is very reputable and can get that done for you for around $150-$250 last I checked.

Find some used YFZ 450 shocks off ebay for the fronts, and have the rear re-valved and re-sprung for your weight/riding style...if needed. IMO thats the best you're gonna do for the 4 to 6 hundred dollar range.

Isn't that a Trinity pipe on your 450?

Not necessarily loose power, but will move power curve towards top-end loosing low-end. If that makes sense. lol

I had some issues with their Stage IV pipes when I got them. One pipe had a pinhole leak near the carbs that was splattering oil everywhere and the other pipe was missing the finish welds on the hanger, it was just tack welded. I did have to pay to ship those ones back to them, but they sent me a new problem-free set and covered the shipping. It was a pain in the ass inconvenience, but they took care of me. They sent me a free T-shirt and offered a discount on future purchases which I haven’t used either.

When he started describing your bike, I told him that I knew exactly the bike he was talking about and he looked at me like I was being a smart ass. lol

Yup, I had to do this last year for the same reason. Here is what I picked up : Magnum basket (comes with cushions), Pro Design Impellar, Cascade CDA...well worth the money.

I waited on pods and ran the the airbox w/o lid for a while for the same reason. When I put pods on and re-jetted, it was like I removed a cork. I still have my airbox setup and can swap it over for wet or muddy conditions, but have yet to put it back in...I'd rather just avoid the nasty areas to keep the pods on. Also makes carb adjustments ten times easier.

A friend of mine bought a brand new Z-400 a couple of years ago and smoked a tree within three days of getting it. The frames on those were already known to be week, and his crash did a number on it. Luckily he had bought insurance and they paid for a new frame from Suzuki and the dealership to swap everything on to the new frame. Well guess what…I came with NO vin plate. We rode all over the state including Silver Lake with no incident. Two years later he sold it that way. As long as all the paper work checks out and nothing comes up reported stolen, I don’t see what all of the fuss is about. On a side note, I can’t believe some of you think its ok to talk shit in someone’s for sale thread. Unless Ray has personally ripped you or someone you know off, you should keep your opinions to yourself.

I run 5psi in the fronts and 4psi in the rears.

I'm not quite interested yet, but I am curious. I have some stock shocks not in use...tell me more.
