  1. +1 added. I was the 69th person to "like" your page! sweet. Great idea Kev. -Ryan
  2. X2 - Green and Black is ok but Kawi stickers on a Yamaha...lame. MCbanshee - Your shee is definitly sweet looking, but I am curious... whats with the pink fluid behind your lockout cover? looks like ATF mixed with water.
  3. fuckin smart asses.
  4. I just throw plastic bags over the filters and rubber bands to hold the bags on. I also try to avoid any direct spray of the hose.
  5. Yep, Its an 89 Honda CR250. Still ripping up the trails pretty damn well for a 21 year old bike.
  6. Awsome stories guys. Glad I'm not the only one with shitty luck. Keep em comming. Funny story about the T5 branded into dudes leg, I was worried about having a "stage IV" tatoo on my leg. lol That would have really sucked.
  7. Well, I've been riding my banshee in shorts for ten plus years without incident until now. I've had a bunch of friends say its crazy to ride in anything but long pants and I pretty much just shrugged it off. Now mind you, I wear Alpinestar full length boots and the shorts I was wearing were Thor Static pants with the zip off legs so they're made for riding in. But wouldn't you know it, the only three inches of exposed flesh between the boots and shorts; gets it. I came through a set of whoops flying and damn near got thrown off the shee. I ended up hanging half off to the right side and put my leg right on the head pipe. Right after I did it. A week later. Gassing up the machines. Most everyone I've talked to has a story about frying their leg on a hot pipe, so feel free to add yours and pics if you want.
  8. I have heard of staggering the jets on twins, but not on a banshee. Idealy both cylinders should be running the same. What is the temp and elevation in your area? Adjust air screws to 2 - 2.5 turns out. If that doesn't help, I would drop the pilot to 27.5 and go back to 1.5 turn out on the air screws. I think 30 pilots are too big.
  9. I see your point. ..but I will still continue to use Bel Ray in my trans. To each his own I guess. -Ryan
  10. I've never had any problems shifting using Bel Rey, ever. The only argument I've ever heard FOR running ATF is that oils like Klotz, Bel Rey, MTL, and others like it are too expensive at 10 to 13 bucks a quart and ATF is 2.50 a quart at any autoparts store. Doesn't that at least sound like being cheap? If we're are wrong, then educate us on why ATF is a better choice other than "its waaay cheaper". -Ryan
  11. Ain't no thang bro. I knew where you were coming from. -Ryan
  12. I don't think he meant to offend you or insinuate that you couldn't afford to run expensive oil Dave. I think what he meant was, which I have asked myself before, Why do some guys have thousands to throw at their bikes and motors and then get cheap when it comes to buying oil for that motor? I think it’s a valid question. -Ryan
  13. POST WHORE! lol True, but you would probably have more money in your pocket. I'm rolling up my 1000th also
  14. No, they're saying if you blow up your motor to do a leak down test before tearing the motor down. Ruling out an air leak will aid in figuring out what caused the problem by process of elimination.
  15. Whats up with the R2's? Why do you want to get rid of them?
  16. Jeff is the man when it come to banshees and excellent customer service. So if he thinks it was from something he did wrong or overlooked, I know he will make it right. All things considered, I find it very hard to believe that its from something Jeff did or didn't do. But...we are all human and we all make mistakes from time to time.
  17. Nice shee umm wait a minute, are the front shocks up side down?
  18. No sweat Damian. If I need any of my banshee parts shined up I'm sending them to you. If I need a knob polishin I'll go to DiSKOe*1. ...Jus playin DiSKOe*1
  19. Wow! Can you say Hijacked Thread? I don’t care what your beef is with Ray or Joe, that’s just poor etiquette.
  20. Welcome to the HQ! You'll find everything you need to know about a banshee here. And welcome to the addiction. Get ready to blow any spare cash you have on your banshee. lol
  21. Clutch cables cost less than twenty bucks for a new one, so I really don’t worry about them lasting forever. A smoother pulling, tight accurate feeling clutch pull is what I’m after. Besides I run a Works Connection Elite clutch perch and a Cascade pancake bearing clutch disengagement adjuster. And for some reason the stock cable is about 10 mm too short on my bike. The Motion Pro Terminator LW clutch cable not only fits better, it has a much-much-much did I say much? better feel over the stock cable in my opinion. I guess it might depend on what clutch perch you're running.
  22. You need to stop being gay and show up more often. :-)

  23. I checked my Clymers and see what you are refering to. Thing is, I don't remember if there was one between the secondary drive gear on the basket and the backing plate or not. I swaped my stock basket for a billet one a couple of seasons ago and don't recall if there was even an o-ring in there. It doesn't go to anything else, so I wouldn't worry about it. You definitly need that ball at the end of the clutch actuator push rod though.
