Contribution's to BHQ
KlotzBanshee replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Banshee Discussion
That's very stand up of you Chase. seriously, It inspires me to want to contribute too asap. Long Live The HQ! -
Ya know, I've wondered about those things too - "scary fast" oooo :yankyank: . Honestly the theory behind it does make sense. BUT...Of coarse a banshee requires two of them, they also make some now that go in the intake manifold side of the aperture too. So at about a hundred bucks a pop, one for each side, X two carbs = $400 bucks!!! for little pieces of f'n sheet metal? GIMMICK!!! Somebody is laughing their way all the way to the bank. They must think we're all suckers. Sell them for $10 each, and I'd think about it. $100 each, forget it!

check out the Motion Pro site

Gonna buy this banshee should i buy or stay away.
KlotzBanshee replied to chugger's topic in General Banshee Discussion
With out seeing some pics, if its as nice as you say it is, I'd buy it if I had the $$$$ on hand. But don't expect it to be the same trouble free machine that your other one is. That bike is going to require some hands-on for sure. But thats half the fun anyway! right? Try and get some pics. -
I'd rather have the two-stroke for the sound alone!
-
Floats maybe? did you check the height when you had the carbs apart last? IDK

Pinks is cool I guess. I don't get to watch too much TV. The one thing I have to say about the few episodes I seen is...WHATS WITH THE DAMN COMMERCIALS ON EVERY DAMN HOLESHOT? Man that's annoying! Other than that, it's alright. Deadliest Catch...Them some crazy ass mo fos. You wouldn't "Catch" my ass dead out in one of those fish gut stinkin' floating out houses...in the shittiest part of the ocean...just so red lobster can have an all you can eat special! F-THAT! Better them than me, I don't care how well it pays.

I live in Lapeer, MI. I work at the GLTC in Flint, MI We'll have to hook up and do some riding some time. Hitting Silver Lake soon, one of these weekends.

I would def be interested in a BHQ flag for the dunes if you guys could come up with something nice looking, and permanent. Here in Michigan the only place that I know of that requires a flag is Silver Lake. The flag is required to go on the back, must be like 10 foot tall I think, and has to be an orange square flag, like about 8 x 10 maybe? I some one could make one like that, I'd buy at least a couple.

Yeah, its worth it. A little bit goes a long way. I've actually experimented with the regular mother's aluminum polish I had left over. You can rub the shit out of, lets say a wheel, it looks pretty damn nice. Then do one side of that same wheel with the Incredible Billit, and WOW, It's a difference you can see for yourself. Oh, and while you're at it you can pick that shit out of your teeth with your new found mirror. J/K

I use Mother's "Incredible Billit" this stuff is very impressive. You could take a shitty old penny out of your pocket and make it shine better than a brand new one with it. I haven't tried any other brands though...Mothers is some damn good sh!t IMO.
-
Did you see the estimated price tag on that thing? $25,000
-
I got one for like three bucks maybe? Got it from Wheels USA - Yamaha Dealer, Oxford MI.
-
I wish it was that easy. I hear you have to slit the case to do the crank seals.
-
I've heard of ppl using them (vito's) with good results. I wouldn't try cutting up your stock pistons. If you read that whole article it says that the dome is raised, rings are lowered, skirt shortened, etc... Plus I beleive the vito's are forged?
-
Yeah, I had to do both of mine about a year ago. I was leaking some tranny fluid and I wasn't sure which seal it was comming from so I replaced them both. You CAN just remove the drive sprocket and swap it out without spliting the cases, took me 15 min to do both seals. Getting to them is the hardest part. I just used a screw driver to CAREFULLY remove the old ones and used a similar sized socket to push the new ones in nice and strait, that was it. Top off the CC fluid and shee's ready to go! I don't think he's talking about the crank seals man?

If everything checks out so far (good jetting, no air leaks), it could be as simple as old/bad gas? I've heard of that happening with ppl running their snowmobiles for the first time after sitting all summer...??

Where's it at? (city,state?)

What size bolts for Swingarm Skid?
KlotzBanshee replied to avc8130's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I looked around for the dimensions of those bolts and couldn't find shit other than the p/n 95827-08020-00. I know that probably doesn't help much, but maybe you can call a stealership and see if they can give you the numbers you're looking for? I do know it's a 12mm head and about 1.25 long... without having the bolt in one hand and a pair of calipers in the other, thats the best I can do from my desk at work. sorry - good luck. -
Well...first real trip this year and the Banshee ran like a champ. The driver on the other hand....lets just say I wasn't at the top of my game. About the third trip up the hill I missed second and zinged it in neutral, not once, but twice! Sure everybody has done it before, but I had an audience for my poor showing of skills. Man I felt like an ass! But when I found a gear, shee hauled ass up that beyotch! Then, about an hour later, I started racing a piped up Raptor (he may have had more but all I seen was the Yoshi pipe) I ate him up three times in a row! We went back down for another run and some guy on a YFZ 450 jumped in line in between us (which makes it a pretty tight 3-wide). Anyway.....I jumped them both of the line and missed a shift AGAIN and end up eating some serious roost off that 450 on the way up. Pisses me off! The shee had both of them easily if it wern't for my dumb ass. Alll well so I'm a little rusty after a long winter, at least I know it runs good. I'm just wondering if any of you guys witnessed my embarrassment? C'mon - I'm ready, let the raggin' begin

I've got some Trinity stuff. : Stage IV pipes, clutch kit, other misc. parts. The quality and craftsmanship of the products are second to none. The customer service is...OK, I hear it's alot better than it used to be. They've got some new guys over there resently...so far so good. I don't have anything BAD to say about my experiences with them. Although expensive, I love my pipes. Stainless Steel is the shit. They are comparable to T5's and make more top end power and sound better IMO. I wouldn't consider them to be drag pipes, more like all around with strong mid-top. They do make DRAG pipes though too.

Nice job Lee! Looks alot better.
