WOW, I had to read that three times to figure out what Hell you were saying. It helps to put those little dots at the end of sentences. or at least a couple spaces?

wtf is going on with this site?
KlotzBanshee replied to bigdaddy69's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I seen it this morning said WTF! And immediately exited. Curiosity made me check it again later. That stuff pisses me off! To think we have to be afraid of some little shit head, pimple faced, foreign POS Hijacking our HQ and our PC's for all we know. I'd like to smash some heads of these little punks. Inside nerd jokes are only funny to nerds, and you won't find any here...well maybe a few :geek: :yucky: -
I recomend the TM Designworks Slide-n-Glide kit, I added it to mine plus the case saver last season. Its sweet - but a little pricey. But how often do you have to replace those? not very often, so it was worth the cost to me.

Now I'm no expert, so I may be wrong...but I don't think you should have used wiseco rings in the stock pistons. I believe the stock pistons use two diff thickness rings for top and bottom, and wiseco pistons' rings are the same size top and bottom. plus the champhurs on those ports don't look the best, from what I can tell from a blurry pic /or my blurry eyes Did you break her in good before you hit the desert?

Thanks for the helpful hints guys  This thing is going to be like a brand new motor when I'm done with it, but stronger. I can't flipn' wait for spring this year! dajogejr - we'll def. catch up this summer some time. I plan on hitting the dunes hard this year. I've never been to the Clarksville drags before, I'll have to get some buds to go and check it out after the weather breaks. Let me know when they have events coming up, and we'll try to make it. I have to get my shit back together first   - Ryan

A guy that works on choppers told me to try some aluminum cleaner they use on Harley motors and whatever, he said its some sort of acid. I'm guessing its something along the lines of aluminum rim cleaner? He said they use it to prep before they paint or pc motor parts. Anyone ever try anything like that? Still fishin' ttt

where are the dunes on the East coast?
KlotzBanshee replied to Minkia38's topic in Riding and Events Forum
The only REAL dunes on the east coast that I'm aware of is Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Mears, Mi. But if you're from Romeo, you already know that. IDK of any in NC, maybe a sand hill or two? I could be wrong... -

They look good to me  and weren't expensive either, less than the price of the few stock hangers that you keep on reserve. I'm not worried about the hanger brackets on the pipes braking, or the welds, they are very strong. But I also have Stainless Steel pipes which are a thicker gauge and more resilient than pipes made from mild steel with chrome plating. They may not be for others, but they work great for me. Like I said they made my pipes fit a lot better than they did with a set of brand new stock hangers. Better offset I think. Personally, if your motor vibrates so much that it brakes welds and/or shears bolts, you have bigger problems than pipe hangers.

I was told that you want those things to be pretty much solid. The rubber in the stock hangers may absorb the vibration at the mounting point at the frame, but then you end up with most of the vibration going to the next point of least resistance - your exhaust ports - BAD. IDK - that

It pays to buy OEM parts...
KlotzBanshee replied to KlotzBanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I'll have to try to keep it over the 1/4 tank on the next one I guess, hope it helps. I'm tired of throwing 400 bucks into her every few months. If it ain't one thing, its another. The bitch is...my truck is in otherwise great shape for a 99, and its paid for. So my cost to keep it on the road is still less than a new truck payment. It just seems this crap always happens when I'm short on cash, or have money set aside for the banshee ya know. :: Tell me about the -right around Christmas crap, nothing like kicking you when you're down. As if its not already hard enough to pay for christmas presents for everyone. Then the truck says "Hey! What about me?" :: greedy bastard. -

New bolts, anything better than Alloy Boltz?
KlotzBanshee replied to dajogejr's topic in Product Reviews
Ya Know....ARP is the #1 name in fasteners and studs for building motors (cars, trucks, hot rods). Its too bad they don't make any for banshees or other small motors...or do they? I've never looked or heard about them being used by anyone in here. -
Just got my banshee, Tors question
KlotzBanshee replied to Ls_dx's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Same here, I bought the whole TM Designworks slide-n-glide kit for the chain and added the case save too. Cheap insurance...better than a broken case. I put some pics on here back in sep. when I put them on. Do a search on Renthal chainwheels, should still be there I think. -TORS is a POS and is better off in a box in the basement. Edit: I did the search myself and the pics don't load up anymore  I can post some if anyone requests them... -
There was a topic showing a bunch of bumpers not long ago, I'm sure you can find it with a search. I don't think there were prices though.

3D CAD Models of Banshee Frame
KlotzBanshee replied to FireHead's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I've been tossing around the idea of modeling my frame as well. It would be nice to have the stock geometry to mess around with and do a little reverse engineering on. It would be pretty time consuming to design it from scratch and get all of the geom. and dimensions correct from the shee in the garage. Be nice to have V5 file to start with . I have a degree in vehicle design and I'm going for a BSME right now. I'm competent in AutoCAD, UG, and CATIA...but once I got used to V5, I don't want to use anything else. Keep us posted on the outcome, I interested to see how it turns out. -
Hey, what do you guys recommend to do with your clutch plates while working on the lower end? IDK if they can dry out (fibers) ,or if leaving them soak will make them swell? I'm thinking of just putting them in a zip lock with some Bel-ray in there? They're practically brand new, and I'd hate to ruin them during storage while I work. It will be at least a month before they're ready to go back in. Any thoughts, what do you do? AW

My shee will do at least 100mph... ...in the back of my truck, heading up I-75 :yelrotflmao:

Thanks guys! another year closer to the big 3-0 scary how time flies. The shee got a new set of meats on the rear - ITP XCR-03's (20-11-9's) and I got some Thor Static ridding gear - Thanks for the visa hookup Mom and Dad! Now I just need to get off my lazy ass and tear my motor down, I've got big plans for the banshee this winter, but I
