Great...I hate the little bitch ass's that like to fuck up ppls computers...die hackers! I've got brand new firewall, anti-virus, and spyware. I ran sweeps lastnight when Brook first posted this and that script didn't show up? WTF? Does that mean I'm clean or just didn't find it? If I have to constantly worry about shit like this, I regretfully will stop visiting this site  which would suck big time!

Stock pipes what terrain do they work best in?
KlotzBanshee replied to icprey's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Sorry I didn't know you live in Canada... DMCbanshee lives in Quebec and has DMC Aliens which are fairly loud. He's also had some Paul Turners too I believe? Why don't you talk to him about it? -

Stock pipes what terrain do they work best in?
KlotzBanshee replied to icprey's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Silver Lake is the only place I've ever seen them testing, and usually only on the holidays. I asked a DNR officer up there one time and he said its "96db +/- 2db, but they tend to only reject 100+ dbs." My pipes are supposed to be 98dbs with the spark arresters on, and I've yet to have anyone even test me....yet. I'm sure it just depends on if you get a prick at the gate. :: Thats why you always see the guys with the drag bikes driving theirs in in the back of the truck. -
Stock pipes what terrain do they work best in?
KlotzBanshee replied to icprey's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
No matter what the cops or trail nazi's want to see stamped on the silencers, USFS approved is legal, which most aftermarket pipes are or can be with the addition of a spark arrester. There should be a set decible restriction in your area (usually around 100 db). Most pipes are at or under 100 dbs. Don't let the pigs intimidate you. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS and then abuse them. Stock pipes and silencers suck ass and are heavy as hell. Unless you can't afford aftermarket pipes, don't even consider using stock silencers on new head pipes. You might as well stick a cork in you exhaust. $.02  -
Do those mods make a big difference? I've thought about picking them up before, but didn't want to split the case to put the drum in. Plus, when I do split the case, I'd want to do a true and weld, max load bearing, and replace all the seals at the same time. Which all gets expensive very fast. Is it worth it to add star mod and drum to the list?
-
I know someone who might want those, I'll get with ya when I Know for sho. I already have a set of these and love them...$350 is less than half of what I paid brand new. (free bump) Any pics?
-
Still got those pegs? How much for cash? I can meet you somewhere to pick them up?

THANK YOU! :thumb: I was getting tired of shrinking down every damn picture. dajogejr

having a hell of a time posting pics. :: This is the Renthal counter sprocket, TM Case saver - zero drag rollers - and swingarm slide.
-
Here's what she looks like so far. Renthal rear sprocket (SS Nylock Nuts w/ red loctite), DID 520 ATV X-ring, TM Designworks rear roller-slide...
-
I just got new renthal sprockets and just realized while putting on the rear that the stock nuts and "keepers/locks" (little metal flanges that you bend to keep the nut from backing off) look like ass on the nice new sprocket. Anybody know of some purdy new lock-nuts to replace the stock junk, where and how much $ ? Thanks

FRIENDS? Who said night has friends? There are two kinds of people in this world, Those who laugh and make fun of retards, and those of us who realize their unfortunate lack of inteligence and humor the dumb shit they say. :baseball_wibble:

good shit! :yelrotflmao: alot of truth to that

Same here. I've always just figured that if Shee was to spring a leak without me knowing about it, or even a chance of gas hitting hot pipes/motor the fire would be more controlable with the gas off. No sense in feeding a motor thats not running. I think some ppl don't do it just b/c they're too fn' lazy. :shoothead:

Thanks for the replies guys. It seems to be an average of about $150 a year for most of you. $150 X 7 yrs = approx $1050 I've saved so far. Thats a considerable amount of cash that deff got spent on mods and trips. But the more money I put into this bottomless pit, the more I worry about it. I just maybe joining the band wagon soon. Thanks again -Ry

Pushing gear oil out, crank seal?
KlotzBanshee replied to Master of Faster's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If your oil is milky looking it's from coolant or water getting into your case. Check your head and base gaskets and re- torque to specs. Also possible warpage? good luck -
I've had my banshee since new in 1999 and never had insurance on it. Though I've often worried about it, in almost seven years now I know I've saved a sh!t load of money by not having "a piece of mind" If you have it, who are you with and what do you pay? If you don't mind me asking.

Ted Nugent is still the man
KlotzBanshee replied to helldriver's topic in General Banshee Discussion
 hell yeah! I've driven out to Pa. before, Beautiful state! My ex-gf and I went out there to visit some friends we met while on a Carribian vacation a few years back. They lived just outside of Pittsburg in Dalton? if I remember corectly. They took us to a comedy club "the funny bone" in Pittsburg one night, I  -ed my ass off. I have to say the downtown streets of Pittsburg made The D (detroit) look like a garbage dump. Very nice City, love to go back sometime. Maybe do some hunting too. -
Further describe what you mean by surging on the top end. I can't imagine what could be described as surging with out thinking of a sliping clutch or an air leak??? maybe I'm just a little slow today? IDK.

Nicktoney, I'm running a similar set up on mine and am in the process of dialing the carbs to near perfection. Keep in mind I'm at about 800 ft and have some slightly diff mods (check my profile and photo album). Anyway, after a few changes from what Trinity recomended I'm now at 310 mains - 3rd clip on the stock needles - 27.5 pilots - 2 turns out on the air screws. It's not quit perfect but it's getting closer with every adjustment. That's good for about 70 to 95 degrees give or take. Hope that helps a little
