Yeah man, I'm game for August. If anyone in NJ would wanna ride out with me, that'd be cool, I have two trailers, and 2 trucks, so depending on what/who goes, I can haul some poeple/bikes. Would rather not make a 20 hour trip alone but shoot, I could always convince my Honda buddies to come out!

I have reused the before, but it's not a good idea, they don't compress like they are supposed to after they've been used, so you might get an air leak. I don't chance it unless I'm in a bind for time, $12 vs. a New Pistons, Rings, and Bore if you have an air leak, I think I'll take the $12.

Piston on the left(if your sitting on the bike) side went? If so and you had a lot of oil it's probably the crank seals. Not so so bad since you have the case torn down a lot allready. By the way, I think that's the first time I've ever seen that as a post title. Also, what is your jetting like (mods and altitude needed too). Probably gonna need a bit more to go on.

I think the carb cleaner from Yamaha your supposed to mix with the gas, and run it, but only when the tank is close to empty. I never did it that way though. I always take them off, and apart, buy that spray carb cleaner, spray the bowls, and clean them with a brass wire brush. I spray the barrel and main jets too, and use the wire brush to clean anything that isnt fragile. Spray 'em all again, then reassemble.

My 01 has different connectors then my 01 in a lot of places. The 01 has a lot of the flat rectagle style connectors, and the 02 has more of the rounder ones. The headlight connections are the only ones I remember off the top of my head.

It's tought to pack stuff in the small slot under the seat. I used to have a 6 pack rack on my kawie and I kept a backpack of sockets, wrenches, and metric bolts in it. I like to carry a lot of different lengths of M8x1.25 and M8x1.5 bolts. They are the most common ones on the bike. I few times I had my shifter lever bolt rattle loose, and I would have been screwed had I not had extra ones.

dude if you really have hot sluts, chronic, and gas money I'll pick you up, and bring you out. Any idea if we can make this thing a little earlier like August or so? The month would be the real deal breaker here, It's tough for me to miss classes, especially like a week. So anything before Sept. 1st would be awesome, I don't know if anyone is in the same boat as me, don;t want to be a PITA.

shit, didn;t see you were on the west coast, they are supermarkets out here on the east coast. Either supermarkets or Wal Marts usually carry RIT. Works damn good too. You probably can find it on the internet too.

Just sold a set, the best place to check is PlanetSand, or ?YFZCentral?. The guys are always getting rid of them there for cheap. I bought a pair on PS for 200 shipped, you won't find them on e-bay for any less then 250.

Stock or adjustable? I have a stock one but one of the tiny screws that holds on those little clamps snapped off in it. If you want it, I'll take $10 shipped.

Yo, count me in too, might be easier to make it a little earlier, like August, I go back to school Sept. 1st. Infamous, if you wanna take a ride out, I'm down, I just picked up a new F250 last year, plenty of room, so if anyone wants to split the gas with me, I wouldnt mind driving, I have a 14' enclosed trailer, or a 10' open trailer so I could haul a few bikes. Let me know, a year away, but I'm souped, I'll definately have something that works by then.
