  1. If you know how to ride and are familar with your bike you can turn just as good with straight paddles as you can with "v" paddles.
  2. whaaaaat? There are 4 hills that everyone hangs out at on the big weekends. And there are a lot more if you just ride around a lil bit.
  3. if u ride mostly sand get k&n pods. if u ride mostly trails with no water get uni (foam) pods.
  4. Mine work great. Was your uncle using the ny-loc nuts that come with the arms, i don't think he was cuz he would not have had that problem. As far as usin the stock shocks with extended a-arms i wouldn't do it. I would wait until you have the money to get the arms and properly valved after market shocks at the same time. The stockers will be WAY to soft when used with extended arms. EDIT: typos
  5. Change your pre-mix to 32:1. What elevation do you ride at?
  6. I would try and find a-arms that come with balljoints that don't require spindle reaming. Asfar as shocks get dual rate elkas with a remote rez and compression adjust.
  7. But don't worry about the compression unless it is taking more than 4-5 kicks to start it when its cold, and even then check your reeds first.
  8. I think those cylinders have the nikasil lining in them. If so they only need like an hour tops for break-in. All you're doing is seating the rings.
  9. free bump. that a really nice drag shee man.
  10. the ebay elka guy already has the shock and linkage for sale: click Damn, I wish I had the money.
  11. Your brackets don't look bent, just your a-arms. Those should def. be replaced. And the brackets usually don't bend anyway, the bolt usually tears through them if you hit hard enuf. It looks like you should be fine with new new a-arms and a shock. Good excuse to get some +2+1 a-arms and some good shocks though  .
  12. for shocks go with TCS, Elka, custom axis, or PEP. A-arms and swinger: lonestar, laeger's, roll-design, quick-sand, etc.
  13. 19cc will be to small, go with 21cc since you want to keep it on pump gas
  14. Do you have any suspension mods done to your bike? If you don't that is what I would do. Your motor already has at least 50hp with the current setup (i think, someone correct me if i'm wrong). IMO a piped banshee is to fast for the stock suspension in any conditions except the dunes. So I'd get some +2+1 a-arms, shocks (elka or TCS), and get the rear shock re-valved (race-tech, TCS, and a jillion others). All that should about $1500-$2000. Just my .02 .
  15. Hell yae Lee! I try to stay away from serious relationships, cuz all teenagers (me included) aren't mature enuf to keep our goals in mind when we're in puppy love with some gurl. That, and gettin strange (a diff. chick) every other week is way better than the same thing twice a week for months on end  .
  16. It doesn't actually increase low end power. It just shifts the entire powerband to where itcomes on a lot earlier and signs off about 500-700 rpm's earlier than the stock carbs. But there is more power everywhere, including up top.
  17. I'd call RS and tell them what happened. Sounds to me like anopther quality control issue with thier parts.
  18. Holy Shit! I'd find a new machine shop if I were you. That is ridiculous for a bore and hone.
  19. You should be able to easily find a piston and gasket kit for $150-$200. And the a bor and hone job from a machine shop for both cylinders should be no more than $100. Definetily go with wiseco pistons though.
  20. I got a 200 wat ricky stator, trailtech lights @ 75 watts each, a helmet cam. I also got enough money from various relatives and my grandma to add to what i've bveen saving to get a F.A.S.T. dune port, crank t/w, and my head shaved (i had about $250). That shit is gettin shipped this week.
  21. I talked to jeff at F.AS.T. today. I'm gonna go with him over the other two for this reason. I can get everything I need in one box, no need for me to run around town trying to find all of the seals and gaskets I need, as well as the bushing for the kickstart idler gear. Thanx for all of the help guys. EDIT: I really should read through these before I click the post button
  22. Shit, i never even called F.A.S.T. I'm gonna go ahead and call him before i send my stuff out. I hate it when you have to choose between 4 or 5 really good choices.
  23. It does look cool, but it is a little expensive and I don't see why they feel the need to give you grade 10 hardware.
