  1. I have a sony cybershot. It works pretty good.
  2. Your best option for matching up your porting to your exhaust is to pull the head and measure the exhaust port window height (top of port to cylinder deck). Report back and I can get your duration and let you know what pipe will work best for what you want to do.
  3. go to a dealer and look at one.
  4. I think he is talking about transgel.
  5. They photo chopped a RZ500 engine into a banshee in the April 2001 issue of dirtwheels also. It was like the same shit all over again when they did the one this last year. I must have dealt with idiots at the dunes for 2 years after that, they kept saying they were gonna own the hill when the 500 2 stroke banshee came out. Morons!
  6. The needles you have are leaner and are used for a twin carb setup.
  7. I use yamaha grizzly/Rhino cvt clutch grease on them. Works like a charm.
  8. It is so easy to get needles that its not even funny. I know 3 sites right off hand. Cascade Pats small engine Carb parts
  9. Aprill 2002 topic Half way down on right in this one Here is april 2003 1400cc 4x4 Get the picture yet?
  10. That engine in the pick is missing the cvt and cvt cover still. That will add about another 6"-8" to the width of that motor. Yamaha still makes the banshee, and has not re-tooled for it since 1987. So if they already make it still, and they already make a few four strokes that have better suspension and handle better, then why would they make it with a 4 stroke motor in it? This guy who says he confirmed it is full of shit. I would bet him money at this point. I had some idiot kid who is a friend of my cousins boyfriend tell me they were making a 500 banshee fourstroke last summer in july at a party. I told him it wasn't going to happen, and he had the gall to say "Well we will see about that". Are you f'ing kidding me? You new guys need to realize something. Its one thing to be optimistic, its another to be ignorant and stupid.
  11. A cooling fan running and lights running at the same time off a battery is going to over capacitate the charging system. I have put batteries in a banshee before. I wouldn't waste my time with a fan. Its gonna be ugly as hell too. Just get a torch works radiator. You would have to be riding your banshee in hell for it to get hot enough to need a fan.
  12. yeah, but it was tested on a rear wheel chassis dyno and that is not accurate unless compared to other bikes tested on the exact same dyno.
  13. I use a dremel for some work I do on motors. I have a pretty nice variable speed dremel with a extension kit on it though. Your gonna need some bits they pretty much only make in a 1/4" shank to port a set of cylinders though. They have to be put in an air grinder. www.carbidebur.com
  14. Your an idiot if you believe them. Have you seen how wide a phazer motor is? Its almost twice the width of a stock Banshee motor. Its physically bigger than an LT500 motor.
  15. Click this link
  16. Ditch the boost bottle, get a stocker. Slap some carbon tech reeds in it, and get yourself some more compression. Those pipes are pretty much the torquiest pipe on the market. Your well setup with those.
  17. Thats definitely some high rpm, so it equates to faster wheel travel for the hp number obtained. I made around 66.7 hp on my motor at 8650 rpm with pro circuits, and a low-mid port job. Of course now that I ran it, I bought a dyna cdi, dyna coil, and bumped up the compression and changed out the reeds again. So, I ought to be around 69-70hp when its tuned in.
  18. What rpm?
  19. I had my Rhino head pipe done by performance coatings. Turned out really good.
  20. No the banshee is not dc, its a 12c ac system. you need a battery or at least a capacitor with a regulator/rectifier to convert to 12v dc.
  21. the very bottom initial throttle response.
  22. yeah well you can look up at the sky, see its nice and go riding. I live in the seattle area, I cant just hope its gonna be sunny, drive 7 hours and then get dumped on with rain and wind. I have even been snowed on out there in the winter. We are going to Sandlake April 18-20th.
  23. Starting point will be the same on all of them. eej or eek needle, middle to 2nd from top clip position. 195 main jet, 45 pilot, 1.5 turns out on air screw.
  24. The old fmf torque pipes and gold series pipes were unmatched. I think they should still offer them actually.
