  1. Well what do you want, not one pipe will do all 3 areas of the powerband!?!?!?! So whats more important? Low-mid, or mid-top? The dynoport pipe is not a low end pipe, nor is it a top end pipe. Its more or less a mid-top pipe with a max rpm of about 9k rpm. It basically maintains peak rpm easier, therefore staying on the pipe easier. Its really a mx pipe more than anything.
  2. Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. Does it always stay on with the engine revved up? Or does it ever blink off or flicker with the rpm up?
  3. Where they as bright as usual when they were on?
  4. Is it a standard t3 or cut t3?
  5. That sucks about the internet. We Dyno tested a 7 mill cub motor with ptr mids and pro circuits. It made 5 more HP and had a broader torque curve with the pc pipes. We just switched a stock cylinder 4 mill over from ptr mids to pc pipes also.
  6. All you have to do to bleed it is start it with the cap off and Rev it up a little bit.then top it off when it burps. Pulling a bolt out at almost one of the lowest points to bleed it makes no sense to me. As far as the cap goes, you need an import cap or a shitty little domestic car cap. So like a 1991 ford escort or a toypa or busan car. Get the 16lb cap.
  7. I can tell you mainjet size, but that's all I remember. Nobody else is gonna know the critical stuff like pilot jet, needle, nozzle, float height, needle/seat size, and slide cutout. I and maybe one other member on here are the only ones that dink with these carbs. You can't just order a set for a banshee, they have to be setup for it. So you either got to set them up on your own, or have someone who knows how do it.
  8. Best tire setup seems to be 22x11x8 super lite haulers with 9 or 10 paddles. Gearing for tha would be 13/46 or 13/45.ditch the single Carb and run twin 28mm carbs. Everything we have done for testing on low and mid motors has shown best results with pro circuit pipes making the most torque and HP. Best reed setup to run is carbon tech lows or special order the mid reeds and run them on the stock cages. A wagington or Oregon dune port is gonna be considered different than what a California builder thinks is a dune port. Tell Kevin to keep the exhaust duration at 188 degrees or less. There is not a whole lot of places we need to be going completely balls out.
  9. Check the gear teeth for chips or missing teeth.
  10. Lol, there is two different sizes.go to rm and look it up by application. Under the Tm Designworks rollers they will list out upper and lower. These rollers will be closest to the factory sizes and have a cool lip on them to help guide the chain straight.
  11. Obviously its not a good idea to go to +8 timing if your backing the plugs out at +7. Yes it sounds like its too much. Hard to say exactly without some squish numbers to back up the suspicion. Another option is to track down some 114 octane.
  12. Is it physically obtaining more rpm and not moving any faster, or is it skipping like there is a tooth missing from the gear.
  13. Why would we know how many rollers you should get? There is an upper and a lower. They are different sizes, so with that said, how many rollers should you get?
  14. For what type of riding?
  15. How much money you got? http://www.killerpaint.com/
  16. Get rid of the paddle masters, thats a horrible tire for playing in holes with. Stock front is a 14 tooth correct? I would say thats still a little too tall with a 20" tire, but its close with that size tire. You need at least some haulers. I would recommend super lites, they do awesome for everything out there. I know which hole your talking about. I ended up in the water down in another hole nearby. Here is a vid of me getting out in that one. Coos Bay hole video
  17. Its gonna be a mikuni vm carb more than likely, so call carb parts and order the slide from them.
  18. Ok well here is the deal, I dont just drag race. One minute I am climbing holes, the next minute I could be doing a friendly drag race at boxcar hill or on the flats. It takes a pretty universal setup. I literally use 1st and 2nd in the holes all the time. I use 3rd, 4th, and 5th drag racing. In Oregon its not wide open dunes at all. I do get a chance to ride wide open in spots, but we have to climb stuff like in this video below. Oddly enough the 2 other bikes in that video run much taller gearing than I do. The white and green bike is 13/41, and the black bike is 13/43. They both also run 21" haules. I run 22x11x8 super lites. I can obviously outclimb the two in the hole. I also beat them both drag racing now ( I can still outclimb them also). The white bike is a JSD full drag port 350 with cpi pipes and 35mm pwk carbs. The other one is stock carb, ported 350 with ptr mids. This video was with the 2 into 1 pipe and single carb, I now have twin carbs, port work and pro circuits. The bike has the same bottom end now, but its way faster on the top end with the newer parts. If you want to play in Oregon and be able to do everything, then this is what you got to run to do it better than everyone else. Back in 1993 at the Last Sandfest they had I raced in the 350 modified class (gas) with a JD ported 350, stock bored carbs, stock intakes, stock reedcages, a milled stock head, and FMF Gold series pipes on 13/45 gearing. I took 4th place out of 32 riders. I was 14 years old. I was beating grown men. There was even a guy who got DQ'ed for running alcohol. I have tried different gearing, nothing else works as good. Not back then, and not now. Youtube hole Link.
  19. With the regulator not grounded, the system voltage gets upwards of 16 to 18 volts. The bulbs can't handle that.
  20. I do launch in third, I hit 5th before the race is over and crest the top of boxcar pulling a wheelie. I use first and second for normal play riding, taking off, and climbing holes. I am the blue bike in this race, and this is a 3rd gear launch. Youtube Link
  21. The voltage regulator grounds through the body of the unit. More than likely you blew the bulbs or melted some wiring. There is still another ground down on the engine, so the bike was probably still grounded through the engine mounting bolts. You will have to run it and see.
  22. You gotta be a setup dealer to order from them.
  23. Ok, so I think we reached the point where everyone needs to stop posting on this one and leave this alone. Both sides said what they would do on the topic, and lets leave it at that now. PLEASE!
  24. I order the reg/rec from wisconsin.
