  1. no not typically. It depends on wether or not the previous customer did anything with the programmer and changed any curves in the cdi.
  2. Looks like its setup for trails and track, so it needs low-mid pipes if thats the case. Whats the porting on it setup at? Is it stock cheetah or has it been raised, or resleeved and lowered? So, again, we need to know what the main purpose of the bike is, and where the motorwork is setup to provide an accurate answer on the pipe situation. Looks like a torchworks radiator.
  3. What ignition is it?
  4. starting fluid or brake cleaner. If its gonna fire up on that amount of spark, it will do it with one of those chemicals.
  5. They build some decent stuff motorwise. I use them for all my stock parts, billet, seat covers, and chroming.
  6. The guy is supposed to undershoot the price. Thats probably why he still has three of them, he rips people off and overcharges them.
  7. Use it in the quad, dont put it in any car with a catalytic converter.
  8. If your gonna ask us a question, then we are going to give you an answer based on what we know. We are not necessarily going to give you an answer that is convienient for you. So if the man says a 290 or a 320 main jet, and you dont have it. Go out and buy it. I ran 390 mains in my bored stock carbs on my old ported bike.
  9. Whats the compression, why did you rebuild it? Is there a possibility it got lean on the last top end and blew up? Thus indicating you may have a leaky crankseal or leaky cases? Which cylinder runs leaner, flywheel side?
  10. Thats not it. That jetting looks very rich. I dont recommend the 2 into 1 for sand dunes, so I would switch to twin carbs anyway.
  11. He has a forum, if you go in there you can send a pm to his girlfriend and get her attention.
  12. Almost the only one, I have a set in the shop.
  13. I recommend 28's, but wouldn't go bigger than 30's.
  14. I like curve 3, I advanced my timing in the cdi with the programming kit and did not use an advance plate.
  15. We have done dyno testing with them on a 7 mill cheetah motor that was resleeved and not the exhaust port dropped, and on a 4 mill stock cylinder motor that had the exhaust port slightly raised. The pt mids made less hp and torque than pro circuits on both motors. They did however achieve about 500 more peak rpm. The pro circuit came on hard at the bottom in the torque and hp department, and ultimately on both motors ended up making about 4-5 more peak hp at around 8,650-8,750 rpm than the pt mids did. The way the curve on the pt mid ran, I would say its strictly a mid pipe on a low or midrange ported motor. Also not the optimal low or mid pipe for those setups from what I have observed from the testing and by riding the 4 mill stock cylinder motor.
  16. Nothing that I know of is exact. I bought the silencers and made my own stinger tubes for them on the big bike. I made the big bore ones for my uncles bike with pro circuits also. The crappy part is, I sent one set of stingers down to tim and chris to get chromed and they never copied them so they still dont offer them.
  17. The stator specs are in the manual. You should be able to search and dig one up on here.
  18. Its a mid pipe.
  19. Heres a thought, talk to Kevin and see what he thinks your compression should be, and ask him what thickness base gasket you were supposed to put in it.
  20. Your exhaust port duration will affect compression. What pipes?
  21. I am trying to get an idea of what kind of rpms this bike sees. What pipes do you run on it?
  22. Usually its not the coil or the cdi, those components rarely go bad. You need to diagnose the problem and not throw parts at it. It could bew anything from a shorted wire to a malfunctioning kill switch or stator. Buy a multimeter that checks ohms and get back to us.
  23. The 2 into 1 pipe is not a torque pipe, its an mx pipe. It helps maintain peak rpm easier than most low-mid pipes.
  24. Debbie Downer! Now I dont know what I will do since I dont have your seal of approval. :shoothead: The 2 into 1 works great for hardcore trails and motocross. A little more torque and less sloshing in the bowl.
  25. Someone has no self confidence and low self esteem. I learned how to port to make my own stuff fast, and so other people could pay me to make their bike faster. Its a winning situation either way.
