  1. as long as there just painted and not sanded down underneath of it, aircraft paint stripper will work. I just took off all the ugly ass paint that the previous owned did to the fenders. Just brushed it on, let it sit for a little then hit it with a pressure washer and it came right off. Did no damage to the original fenders. You could always test a little spot and see what happens as well. There is a quick pic of it in the IMAGES section, went from painted blue to the original yellow using the stripper.
  2. yeah been doing that as well, only thing I can think of is maybe it has to do with the previous owner rattle canning the whole damn bike and it has stuff jammed up. I'm going to get some new impact sockets tomorrow so maybe with the a-arm bolt I can get the impact on it and make it break free from whatever is locking it up. I'm still stumped on the spindles though
  3. i'll try the heat gun idea, I normally just use a small propane thingy but figured it would damage the joints on the a-arms since they arent replaceable. Oh and I have been whacking the shit out of it from the one end. I put the nut on the bolt and have been just whaling on it trying to get it free, but nothing is working. Hopefully the heat gun trick works. Tomorrow is my only day off to really get the bike prepped for paint and this stupid ass problem is really holding me up.
  4. I started pulling my shee apart to get ready for paint and I can not get the damn A-arms off. I cant get the ball joints out of the spindles for the life of me. I have tried hitting the spindle with a BFH to break it loose but nothing. It will not budge. Next I figured if I could pull the whole A-arm set up off at once maybe I could find another way to get the arms off the spindles but I cant even get the damn A-arm bolt to come out. I thought maybe it was dry and seized inside of the cross tube but it looks well greased. ANy other ideas on how the hell to get these bolts/joints out? They need to come out ASAP and I'm running out of ideas. I have never had this much trouble before with something like this. Normally its a 10min job but this is going on a few hours
  5. price?
  6. so what size carb is it? If its a 33mm, you are way lean on the main.
  7. what size carb is it? I had the trinity 2into1 33pwk, i was at a 47-49 pilot, depending on weather, needle in the 3rd clip, i think it was an eek needle, and a 185 main. In case it is a 33pwk that was my jetting. You could still be lean, or have an air leak causing the RPM's to jump
  8. The rad price was towards bansheeryder_69. I
  9. well I picked up the pipes today, couldnt pass up the price for them. I guess I will see what happens. Gotta figure out where I need to be on the jetting now.
  10. so your pretty sure there not top end pipes?
  11. I might just sell them outright, I need to clean them up more though. The previous owner tried to paint them a blue color and it looked like crap. I got all the paint off the top of them and there a nice yellow now, but I havent taken the blue off the bottom yet. How much for the RAD piece? I got the stress marks out of my blue one so it looks better, but the tank shroud is what I really need now. Not sure if I can save that one. Not sure if I want to deal with something that was painted again. I will think about it though
  12. I have never had any problems with a bike I bought that didnt have a title. I think I have only had 3 bikes that I got papers for out of the 20 or so I have purchased over the years. Run the VIN and see what happens. A bill of sale is just as good, titles do get lost sometimes over the years so not everyone is going to have one. On the Bill of sale just make sure you have all the info of the seller, I normally get their license and copy down the license number and a few other things. Then you both sign off on it stating it isnt stolen etc, etc. In a lot of states a Bill of Sale can produce a Title if the VIN is clear.
  13. for now I am looking for a low to mid pipe I guess, but the price seems kinda cheap for a full exhaust system for a shee. So if its not exactly what I am looking for I wont be out a chunk of change. Although I would a like a low-mid pipe it doesnt have to be. The shee I have now will only get ridden a few times where I live and the end of may I will be living in AZ so I guess something that will be good for all around type riding is what I'm hoping for. Just cant find any info about the prolines for the shee anywhere
  14. Anyone have any clues about these pipes? Using the search didnt get me any real answers. Only thing mentioned was there was a shootout a while ago and they did pretty well. Does anyone have any actual input on these pipes? Were they low, mid, or top end pipes, etc. Just seeing if anyone can shoot some knowledge about them my way.
  15. ttt, also have a set of yellow rears I would possibly trade for another color.
  16. dont got the funds for those man, sure would be nice though
  17. i seen that black crhome that kaotik does and its sick. Wish i had the $$ to go that route but I dont. IMO black chrome is where its at unless you want some funky ass color. TJ does some great work for a cheap price IMO, just wish I had the funds for all my ideas ::
  18. ttt
  19. i know kaotik has front and rear set of black fenders he's selling. He's a good person to deal with as well so try looking him up.
  20. the thing is as of right now, I'm not pulling the bike apart just yet. Since the previous owner tried to black it out in some areas and it just looks horrible. I'm more concerned with cleaning up certain area so its looks a little better till I have time to pull the whole thing apart and go from there. I think I have it under control though right now.
  21. i did the first step in removing the paint off the plastics so far and instead of having a crappy ass blue the guy painted them I now have a pretty clean yellow rear and front black. Doesnt look like he sanded the plastics so I doubt he sanded anything else. Havent got to the frame and stuff yet but it look like I can get it off with no problems. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to see whats up with it.
  22. it is def white smoke? Not sure if I'm reading your post right but it sounds like your ign coil could be shot and your right cylinder isnt getting proper spark.
  23. Looking for either black or yellow shrouds for the tank and rad piece. I do have a blue rad shroud I can trade but it does have some creasing marks that it common with the blue fenders. Just let me know
  24. what about stuff that is factory painted? Do I have to worry about it messing up any of the rubber.wire protectors for the electrical?
  25. i'm just trying to stay away from stripping the whole thing down right now, it will prob be stripped down at a semi soon later date but now I kinda just wanted majority of the shit off. Kinda weird that the previous owner did this cause he had another shee that was very nice, clean, etc, then this one which was sprayed over black. Its an 02 and its not even beat up so why he did it I have no idea.
