  1. thanks i'll look into that
  2. I recently picked up another shee and for some unknown reason the last owner tried to spray it over in black. It looks like shit for the most part. It doesn't seem to be a lot of coats so any ideas on how to get the majority of it off without having to strip down the whole bike? I was thinking a strong solution of SIMPLE GREEN and a power washer but does anyone else have any tips. I mean he sprayed just about everything.
  3. just out of curiosity is there any way to bring back the plastics after they have been painted? My plastics were painted and they dont look to good, the stock colors were yellow and black. Anyway to reverse the now rough plastics after the paint has been stripped? Just thought I would ask
  4. a lot of it depends on your location how much you pay as well so where are you located? I just picked up an 02 for $1600 but bone stock and actually has a title.
  5. trying to go local for now, may have something close to pick up tomorrow but not sure just yet
  6. TJ, you still got the plastics? Just picked up another shee and could use some that arent painted by the previous owner. Let me know
  7. Just like the title, i need a set of stock footpegs only. Hopefully someone local to the philly area has them so i can pick them up ASAP. Located in Lower Bucks which is outside NE philly.
  8. talk to whoever is in charge of your payments, like who you send them to. Also I never heard of a repo-guy calling first to repo something. They normally just show up and take it.
  9. dont you also lean out the A/F when you turn the screw out? Isnt 3 turns out kinda much?
  10. i dont think its all that bad, i have one just like that and it worked perfectly fine to break the beads when taking off my RAZR's. In the pic there, the tire is just on top, to break the bead it would be on the ground which isnt shown on the pic. I got mine from harbor freight for $40 and so far i already got my money out of it since my local dealer charges $20 a wheel.
  11. i agree with firehead, but on top of that since its been sitting so long try changing out the oil. Just an idea if nothing was wrong with it before it sat for a long period of time.
  12. I can understand the liabilities and everything but 15psi max for bead set, it just wasnt even close to that number.
  13. got em on, took 45psi for the one tire and 65psi for the other. WHy in the hell would it even say 15psi max for the bead seat on the side of them? Just stupid, but at least now I know what kind of pressure it can take to seat them. My $40 bead breaker pretty much just paid for itself since the local dealer charges $20 a tire, friggin rip offs
  14. on each rim the outside bead is fully seated on the rim, but for some reason its the inside ones that wont seat. Gonna try the gas station up the street, maybe they can put more pressure into it quicker.
  15. I changed out my tires last night and threw some ITP blackwaters on and I can not get the damn thing to set bead on either wheel on the inside part of the rim. Each wheel the bead set on the outside but neither will set on the inside. I have tried the ol rachet strap around the center of the wheel, used many different types of lubricants and it still wont go. Any other ideas on how to get these damn wheels fully on? I guess being a 6ply tire doesnt help much but I never had this much trouble before. Also it says dont go above 15psi for the beads, how accurate is this cause I swear I have had a good amount more in it and they still wont set. Any help is appreciated since its snowing now where i'm at and would like to get a run in tonight hopefully
  16. not to sure about the RZ motor look up, but look and see if you have a tach hook up area on the motor near the back where the one overflow tube is. I also forgot to say that I believe the VIN look up i posted is only for bikes in US and maybe canada
  17. what kind of work does it need? Is it mechanical, body, etc? Pretty much through this forum there are HOW TO's on many different things with pics and everything just in case you want to start tearing into her yourself.
  18. I always see posts about what year someones bike/ATV is and its very simple to figure it all out. I figured this could maybe help those people, who know maybe even make this a STICKY so the same questions arent asked over and over. Below is how to tell the year of your bike going by the frame VIN, you want to look at the 10th digit on the frame and compare from there. A
  19. One of the major reasons people are switching to a dish set-up is because a lot of cable company's are going all digital soon. I know in my area a basic digital package is around $100. That will get you basically every channel with a dish set-up so why stick with cable. Although its not happening in every area, but thats the main reason here.
  20. depending how your house is wired for cable it could be an easy task or a PITA. Is each room ran seperate to say outside, maybe to a box, splitter or something like that. Not in one room, split to another, then split to another? The main thing is majority of satellite hook ups need to have a direct feed from the dish or from a multi switch to each receiver. I believe DISH uses a special splitter but theirs is a little more complicated. The dish is also where you would most likely have an issue, you can set the signal on the basic dishes by the toner within the received. You turn the volume up loud on your TV with the test screen on and when you get a signal you can hear it. Myself and other techs use what is called a birdog, basically a satellite finder. In any case it would save you money to buy a package which includes the install, the dishes, switches, cables, fitting, receivers and everything else prob add up to a lot more than what it would cost to just have it installed through DISH or Directv. Then if you hooked something up wrong, you wouldn't know what to look at. I have seen techs take an hour to solve a problem when I knew what it was as soon as I read the work oder.
  21. make them come relocate it. If its an installer error then thats a free service call. RG6 wire is perfectly fine, the 59 isnt to trusting as it easily breaks. It all about the install whether or not your shit is going to work right. Doesnt matter if its CATV, DISH, or Directv, i have had to redo full houses do to F'd up wiring from each side. I even hate to say that some people who work for my company have no damn clue what is going on, but thats how it is with that business cause nowadays anyone can get hired. And correct most techs get paid by the job, although when its a bad install and someone else has to come fix it, like me, I put it in as a re-install and that tech who originally did it gets docked the pay that was received when it was first done. WHoever you do decide to go with, make sure they layout the whole plan of the install first so you know what will be getting done.
  22. Thats mainly if the dish isnt tightened down properly. If its installed correctly only time you should loose any type of signal is if its raining so hard you can see a foot in front of you. then neither can the signal. You'd be surprised as some of the jobs I have been to where techs only tightened half the bolts down, didnt put grommets on the fittings, etc and any type of rain or wind signal is lost. Its all about the install, if its shit, then you will get shit for a signal during crappy weather.
  23. I cant say much about DISH, but I would go with Directv. Not sure how much they charge for the extra 2 rooms but you get up to 4 rooms free plus they normally will include a DVR or something along those lines. Plus Directv is about to have the largest selection of HD channels and the ON DEMAND feature will be released really soon. DO you have any pre exiting wires already ran in your place? If so get the 4 room install and ask for a 4x8 or 6x8 switch and run the other 2 lines yourself or pay the techs a few bucks and they will likely do it. Only reason I know this is because I am an installer for Directv  . The only bitch with Directv is each line to a receiver has to be a straight shot from the dish itself or a multiswitch. As for Dish I believe they can split it but I'm not to sure how that works really.
  24. you dont happen to have a fuel filter between the tank and the carb do you? I was having the same issue with my 2into1 running dry and finally traced it back to the stupid fuel filter. It must off allowed just enough time for the bowl to not fill and cause it to die out. Just a thought if you have one, remove it.
  25. when they interviewed the guy crocop is fighting I almost pissed myself. His words were " why should I be afraid of him, if anything he should be afraid of me" That dude is gonna get the high kick first shot and be out cold
