  1. I would only use them if you need extra clearance over the clutch actuator arm.
  2. I'll back ya up on this one. I've Had great luck with Tusk (4 different bikes) and saved alot of cabbage.
  3. Just relocate your spy satelite and zoom in more!!
  4. :yelrotflmao: damn near spit pop out my nose on that one!
  5. I've seen this motor go and its a very versatile motor! It'll be great for what ever riding you do. TTT for a great buy.

  7. Let me know dave! I'll go and sport a 4 stroke with ya!!
  8. Dan your banshee build done yet? whats going on there??
  9. I'm just a lil north of you. I'm from Standish. I'd love to go but.. my banshee is still MTA (missing the action) until I get my rad back... wouldn't mind making the next one if you get somthing together.
  10.
  11. I actually buy FZR1000 fibers and the tusk kit for the steels now. Then I have a backup set of fibers and I still only have about 80 bucks into the clutch. So I switch back and forth. I'm always trying different stuff. I've used alot of different clutch kits through the years! lol I've ran the tusk in all my bikes though (450, 250r, banshee and a raptor) Always had good luck with them. The Tusk fibers look identical to the FZR1000 fibers. I can get some pictures sometime if anyone wants to see them.
  12. Thats the stuffer. Without it in there your cages would rattle loose and your reeds could fall out and make a trip through your motor. Best thing to do is match them to your intakes. If your intakes have a round outlet use the stock stuffer.. but if you intakes use a squared outlet then the best thing to do is call cascade and get a set of their VF3 stuffers. Or get crafty and port match them yourself to your intakes.
  13. In michigan's U.P its legal to ride down certain roads. Its definately a differt ride! I'm looking forward to heading up to our cabin and doing some more riding this summer!
  14. Wow.. that kit is pricey!
  15. I'll throw in my 2 cents and agree with that last 2 guys.
  16. Might have some other issues goin on in there. If the clutch is new and everything is adjusted properly and oil level is good... whats the condition of the rest of the clutch componets? how old is the pressure plate?
  17. You left out that you havn't actually finished a build yet!! lol get your motor back yet?
  18. Wheres the pics Dave!!!! you can't tell us "good time had by all" with out pics!!!!

  20. I heary ya Doug.. I just got home from work. Thinkin about them guys all day!!.. Bastards!! lol
  21. Thats a nasty bike!! I like them pipes!
  22. I'd like to see some pics too!
  23. On my national motor there was a big difference between the hi-revs and mid range pipes. I had hi-rev porting and I couldn't trail ride it with the hi-rev pipes. So i switched back and forth between the hi-revs and the midrange. The PT hi-revs are similar to T-5's but they're smoother and have a Lil better topend power. They do have better bottom end compared to other topend pipes like CPI and Shearer.. but the PT's dont rev out nearly as well. I was on Duncan's National support team (2004) and ran their complete kit (motors) for yrs.. I can tell you from personal experience that there is better out there. I drag race in the dunes all the time and I got my ass kicked quite a bit.. They make good smooth power, not great power. They couldn't give me what I was looking for in a motor which is why I left the support team. The only thing that they manufacture themselves (besides pipes) that no one else does is the pyramid valves.. and Its been proven time and time again that they just don't perform as well as most other reed setups out there. The rest of the stuff is pro-design knock-offs. Don't get me wrong, I really like their pipes and wouldn't use anything esle for woods/dunes.. I just think you can get alot more for your money by going a different route then Duncan for motor work and parts.
  24. wish I could make it out.. it sucks when your build never goes as planned... I really wanted to make it out there and meet everyone.. last time I went I think I saw most people but never really talked to anyone beside JT and Dave. oh well... HOPEFULLY.. i can get it finished up by memorial day weekend.. my wife gave me the ok to head over to Silver lake, dont know if that's where i'll end up.. but i'll be riding one way or another somewhere..
  25. I'm on the loop away from the watter site 116. Might want to get some sites reserved. I just checked and there isn't too many left. http://www.midnrreservations.com/campgrounds/search.cfm
