  1. yep.. and you were thinking about the Clutch actuator arm.
  2. resleeving is pretty costly.. you might be better off buyin some used stock cylinders off ebay and selling yours on ebay. I'd be worried about the inner sleeve moving.
  3. I'd think for hillshooting the 10x4 with 20" tires would be the ticket. 10x4's with 18" tire sits pretty low.. I was rubbing the frame everytime I hit a whoop.
  4. I'd run the 10x4's.. I got 10x2's with the 18" tires on them and they look like pizza cutters! I'm dont think they're gonna float too well. I just got them this winter so I havn't ran them yet.. But thas my theory on the 10x2's. They look like they're better suited to track's then the dunes.
  5. As far as I know they dont make a anti-vibe clamp for the stock stem.. Probably the closest thing to it will be the Fasst Flexx bars.
  6. Easy killer... Wasn't tryin to sound ignorant.. Was just stating that things were different in Miami. As you said before... Hence the "its a Miami thing" comment . You've told me before that people down there build big motors and tell people that there 4mils. I didn't say anything about you doin it. I think the setups you guys run are a lil unorthodox but thats just my opinion and I wasn't trying to push it onto anyone. I probably would go about things different but thats not the point. You guys think we're goofy up here.. I'm cool with that. Who cares, Do what you do and have fun doing it! Wich is the long way of saying "oh well.. Party on man! "
  7. Its a Miami thing Dave. Use stock swingers on 150hp motors in stock frames in the streets and have 18mil's built and tell people its only a 4mil. Whats next? lol Even Lil Dan's 350 with the front straped down and a 6 over arm lifted the front up bad.. Whats the point of getting the big motors if you can't get it to hook? Guess I'll never understand.. Oh well... party on man!
  8. If you just had your timing advance, perhaps they messed up the pickup coil gap. should be set about .015
  9. I found that a good set of boyessen Pro series reeds work great on stock and mild motors (and helps keep the price down). If you got more radical motor work or planning on it, then the V-force is the way to go.
  10. Vito's and WSM pistons are not junk. At this point my WSM pistons are just as reliable as wiseco's for me. I put a set of superstock pistons into a banshee 4-5 yrs ago and its just now needing a topend. I can't really tell ya if there was a power gain or not.. Only way to tell that for sure is with a dyno before and after.. But I will say the bike rand pretty damn good for what it had. If your going to get the vito's pistons and your going to get your motor ported, don't get superstock pistons. Look into the power pistons. They dont change the exhaust port timing. IMO if the Vito's pistons are overpriced for what you get. If your looking for power gains the money could be better spent else where.
  11. I like the tusk kit.. But.. here's what I do.. I buy FZR1000 fibers.. and I buy the Tusk kit for the steels.. So now I got a clutch kit with backup fibers for under 100! lol
  12. I use the WSM piston's.. I havn't had any problems yet.
  13. I don't just run mine at the track. I take mine to the dunes too. My Bike hooked great in the dunes. I had alot of people tell me that +12 was too much but I dont think I would like anything less. But every place is different. A good setup in one place might not work to well in another.
  14. They're a lil tricky if you have power jets! lol I couldnt' get it inside the bell. But I made due...
  15. can't afford one after the frame.. Gonna have to pull a "Fred Flintstone" downt the track!
  16. Yeah.. i think the price is a lil high for me but.. some people have that kinda money and they can get somthing fancy like that. Me on the other hand... well I can't afford to run any kind of plastic this year let alone custom painted plastic. lol
  17. probably better off not getting the sparkies and getting a set of Turbine core's or Q's
  18. yeah.. 230's are very lean.. especially in those temps. should be around 300 give or take a size or 2.
  19. I ran a +12 swinger with 13pdl extremes on my 421 . It would still lift the front up if I wasn't watching what I was doing. Baddassbanshee479 used a +10 last year on the track and he pulled the front up alot off the line. I think he's gettin a bar for his +10 this year.
  20. whats the condition of the rest of the clutch componets? Might be time for a new pressure plate or inner hub.
  21. Grooved clutch basket, worn pressure plate or inner hub or incorrect adjustment of the actuator arm. (push rod) When you change the clutch dont forget to check the rest of the componets too.
  22. Whats he charging you to do the work if you dont mind me asking?
  23. What cha got that needs BB's? just wondering?
  24. they make about 3-5 more hp and a few ft. lbs of torque over the standard cub on average..
