  1. you want a basket that dont notch.. buy a barnett. They've been out for years.. or.. better yet.. replace the cushions when their junk and use quality fibers..
  2. Its added weight regardless of the ratio. It wont affect overall rpm.. it affects the rate of acceleration. If you noticed increased crank inertia and tractability... the rate of acceleration is 100% affected. you can't have your cake and eat it too. Its physics. Dont get me wrong. I understand what your point is and if your happy with it thats great. I just dont agree with trying to say that this is pure gains with no side affects. Any time rotational mass is added it takes torque away. This has been proven on the dyno for years and is fact based on laws of physics. Also, if your theory of "2.86 times easier to turn" is true.. then its also 2.86 times less affective at increasing crank inertia and tractability. So why even bother with the added wear and tear on the primary transhaft and bearing?
  3. no time for tanning.. David will be competing in the DDQ crash off competition.
  4. That REALLY has to suck when Zilla makes you look stupid...
  5. Also, keep in mind Hinson is making these for dirt bikes where the HP/weight ratio is stupid high with half as much rotating mass!
  6. Your wrong again.. the crank is directly driving the clutch basket via gears.. Ether helical or straight The basket can not move without the crank moving. It is additional weight that the engine MUST move.
  7. in keeping things simple.. this is correct.
  8. this is where you are mistaken.. Adding rotational weight will take away from HP. Put it on a dyno and you'll see it. It will slow down acceleration while increasing tractability. Its common physics. It will take additional HP to accelerate the additional rotating weight at the same rate. Opposite is true to removing rotating weight. Is there benefits?? sure.. but it comes at a expense. Please dont confuse "added torque" with increased crank inertia.
  9. not enough shut down going that way Cam.. you'd head right into lake michigan. lol Its illegal to drag the dunes. Hell you get a hefty fine for just moving drift wood.
  10. I can see the benefits of added crank inertia in a woods/trail bike.
  11. pwk's are only available up to a 41mm
  12. I'm still wanting to see Tyler's 14mil serval.
  13. I'm pretty hardcore in the trails.. you dont beat on a trans like I do. billet 2nd gear is manditory. My builder said it should be making about 47hp.. so its right on the fence of needing the billet gears. . I've broke 3 stock gears already and taking it back to my builder to fix the gears is getting old.
  14. anything over 50hp should have a billet 2nd gear.
  15. I had a carbon fiber basket made.. its 3x lighter then my hinson.
  16. well.. I guess i didn't read the part where you sent it from a Van.. I understand meow.. my bad.. lol
  17. was it his name? or that his location says Tulsa, OK. ? lol
  18. I think you need to move your wheels just a touch farther more narrow.. For ultimate aerodynamics you need to get the tires closer to the hubs.
  19. I got a set of unported cylinders.. 200.00 shipped.
  20. the PT silencers (Fatboy 2) use 3" bodies compared to the standard 2.5" that most use.
  21. I wont be making it.. maybe next weekend.
  22. I might shoot over for the day.
  23. I almost put a bid in.. But I just wanted the Pro-Design studs.. Them fuckers are 40.00 a set!
  24. Didn't someone nearly wreck from the whoops at the start of the track? thought I saw a video of it on Facebook. Dude ended up with some gnarly burns..
