  1. I got a 17.
  2. I can't get him the money till next week. I told him not to wait on me. I'll get a site, not worried about it. I prefer to be farther away from tyler anyways. too many flaming barrels flying around..
  3. drag is 26" gun drilled.. hillshooter is 28" gun drilled and play axle is solid 32 or 34"
  4. lol it might be sitting on the floor as a back up.
  5. Hey, its a 350 from MI, Take it or leave it... lol
  6. I probably drank more then I burned for sure.. lol
  7. fo sho
  8. these are what I used when I worked at the dealer. Best I found. I tried Klotz areosol foam filter oil.. but it didn't tack up like these. I dont know if the aerosol bel-ray foam oil is the same formulation as the quart jug. never tried it. i've also had the best luck with twin air for filters.
  9. telling you right now.. its not twice as exciting as busco.. so dont bother with the first time.
  10. please post up pic.
  11. keep in mind this is a 3.5" filter vs 6" ( Conclusion, larger filters equate to fractionally more power whereas smaller filters make tuning easier) I'm still under the impression that 10" and 12" filters will have a minimal gain if any vs 6" filter. (no pre filters) Once the filter reaches a certain length, the flow pattern shouldn't change. What that length is.. I dont know, but going by the data provided it dont look like it will change much past 6" I think in your case you saw the increase because your using pre-filters and they obviously hinder flow rates and larger area filters are required. 12" with pre filters vs 6" no pre filter would be a good test. I wish they made a 6" universal velocity type filter.
  12. pre-filters are good for .005 microns and larger. Dust particles start at .0008 microns
  13. Off of K&N's site 26. Should I install the largest K&N filter that will fit in my race vehicle? If an existing K&N filter is large enough to provide negligible restriction, a larger than required filter will not affect the amount of air an engine can take in, however, it will lengthen the filter's service interval. A longer service interval can be an important factor when racing in dusty, dirty environments. To each their own. obviously.. the larger filters dont hurt. Do what you want.
  14. I've seen it.. they need to be cleaned constantly.. my truck is even bad.. Have to clean the damn thing like every other week. I live on a dirt road. Didn't realize it until one year I went to silver lake and got 8mpg on the way to the dunes.. Got to campground and cleaned the outerwear and got 11mpg on the way home. Pretty sure someone in LS last year or the year before had a outterwear plug up on them.. they pulled them off and the bike ran perfect. forgot who it was now.
  15. do you run outterwears? its obvious that the outters restrict flow. which is why most dont use them. In that situation I would understand why the longer filters showed the gains. Edit: I couldn't find any info on the flow rate of the pre-filter material. It filters .005 microns.
  16. my personal opinion is.. that the longer filters allow a more direct path into the carb and creates less turbulance.. JMO.. but the specs of the filter show that there is no way that a 6" pleated gauze type filter is restricting flow. these motors are not moving 700cfm even at 15,000 rpm.
  17. fuck bills.. they're overated.. Your builder is a idiot.
  18. I agree JD, I've been told that also.
  19. I wouldn't think its the CFM thats creating the power. I would assume its got something to do with the way the flow is entering the carb.
