  1. Nope.. they sell 2 different forged pistons.. The superstock pistons have the cut crown while the power pistons dont... They also sell some forged pistons in the same style but made by someone other then wiseco. I'm assuming a over seas company as it doesn't say USA after the part description and they're cheaper.... So thats atleast 4 different forged pistons they offer. They do offer casted OEM pistons also.. Forged power pistons Forged superstock pistons
  2. You got me... I can't top that one.. I got nothin..
  3. CPI is a drag pipe. FMF fatties are a all around pipe.. I've never used the SST's so I can't comment on them. Probably the best all around Pipe i've used is PT High-revs.. Similar to the T-5's but had slightly better bottom and better top.
  4. I dont use the alignment arrows.. I turn the adjuster screw in until it touches.. then back out 1/16 a turn.
  5. I'd say PT mids, Best trail pipe I've used.
  6. Mod quad axles use the key way also.. and will save you about 100-150 bucks. They're on ebay for $550 shipped last time I checked.
  7. Simple for some.. but not for most. I think your refering to the superstock pistons though.. The power pistons dont have the exhaust cutaway on the crown.
  8. That piston would be a bad choice for ported engines because it would mess up port timings. Thats what that cut away does is change the exhaust port timing. So in theory... its a cheater port job. I'm pretty sure they say on their site not to use it if the motor was ported. For ported motors they suggest the power pistons. IMO.... if the motor was already ported then you'll probably see minimal gains if any. They're might be some good gains with the superstock pistons, But I'd like to see some dyno's before I say its 100% worth it. I know my cousin swears by them in his stock ported bike. At the drag strip in the stock class.. only person he lost too was a CRF450. He was running pretty close times to my well modded YFZ450.
  9. yeah.. that should take up another link or so. I would use a 43 then go up on on the front too.
  10. I'm actually getting fond of the olive oils... smells good.. and taste good! with reduced cholesterol!! how can you top that!!
  11. Yep.. left carb has a 140 and the right is a 162.. now their both .127 lol
  12. I would just use the same type of piston. (Cast or Forged) But always check the cylinder/piston gap to make sure there in spec. after a fresh hone of course..
  13. Trinity pipes will have better mid/top and top power. Also.. I really like the stainless steel. Silencers mounts are pretty trick too.
  14. Maybe if you wern't trying to hold peoples hands... I coulda told you that..
  15. Thats what the site is here for. Pistons are like beer.. Everyone likes a different brand..
  16. I underlined the problem.. You replaced stock casted pistons with a forged piston and didn't change the bore. The new pistons lasted longer because the bore was set to the piston. Casted and forged pistons need different bore specs.
  17. You never said it was better?? Maybe its just me.. but.. if its not as good as wiseco.. then..Doesn't that make wiseco better???? So please... Hold my hand now and break it down even farther.. Usually when the skirt breaks its because the bore wasn't setup properly to the piston... But.. I guess if you have it bored to .020 then buy the .020 piston.. It should be fine...
  18. I'd love to JD. I still got my 450 to ride so I'd be shreddin sand with you guys! But.. I gotta work. Started at a new job this year so I wont have as much time off this summer as I've had in the past.
  19. Please.. walk me through.. Tell me how wiseco's own piston is better then the ones they make for Vito's.
  20. 200-250 is about the going rate for frames here.. I paid 250 for my one from and 200 for the other.. at 2 different shops.
  21. I never said I replaced a worn set with low compression. The topend actually only had maybe 20hrs or so on it..
  22. Hey.. its their electrcity!! crank that bitch up!! lol my sis brought her a/c from home and put it in her tent a couple years ago. lol Talk about a cobble job. She had it proped up with soup cans
  23. Because having more HP is more important then my piston preference. I'm using a 78mm bore.
  24. Because alot of people beleive that their claim to extra HP with the pistons is bogus. Wich.. It could be. My cousin said he could feel a difference.. but.. it could have been in his head too. I'd like to see dyno's to prove that they actually do what they say they do.
  25. None of them... I used WSM in my 4mil cub. I guess I'm one of few who really dont care for wiseco. I'm forced to use wiseco in my new motor. As thats the only piston available for it. It was made by wiseco for CP indus. You cant use the superstock pistons on ported motors. So I think thas kinda a turns off to some people too.
