VP sells 2 differnt types.. but for most part.. I think methonal is methonal.. I dont even know who makes mine.. its in a blue plastic barrel and it just says "METHONAL" on the drum.

Never used it on toomey's.. but I did use them on shearers. Just jamed the cap back on and riveted the cap. BansheeDan used them on his toomey's.. not exactly sure how he did it.. but he did.

weight savings.. If your going to race in the dunes.. I'd suggest the 10x4's. 10x2's if your gonna run on the tracks

he probably could.. But there is alot of variables for him to calculate in there also.. I know there is stress releif on the bearings in a long rod setup.. that was never questioned.. All I was saying is that extended bearing life is not one of the key advantages of the long rod setup. Extended bearing life will be minimal (meaning you'll never notice it) You'll see more stress on the bearings by uping compression 10psi. Its like saying buy a cool head for its cooling capabilities..

tell me this... whats the load capabilities of the needles bearings... how much force is placed on them in a stock configuration.. Then tell me the load on them in a 115mm rod setup.. Tell me how much longer bearing life is extended.. YOU DONT KNOW!!! therefore its your opinion. Changing the rod angle will affect the bearings life VERY LITTLE. Until you can prove otherwise... its a matter of opinion. brosif.... I'll stick with my opinions.. Last time I checked.. My bikes have ran like tops so they must be working. You can keep your physics and trig. I'm done here.

Hard to explain.. but you read the heat of the plug rather then the color. Someone could probably explain it better then I can.

Its not solid.. its a rotating assembly. When force is applied.. it spins. Are you forgeting that there is a piston attached to the end of the rod? That aluminum piston sure is alot softer then them steel needle bearings.. As far as wear goes.. the biggest advantage from the reduced rod angle is the piston/cylinder wall wear. once again.. IMO bearing wear is minimal.. if any. If your worried about loads on the bearings.. dont up your compression.. because upping your compression 10psi will increase the load on the bearings ALOT more then decreasing rod lenght 5mm.... Needle bearings have a very high load range. Hence people running 200psi compression.

Thats because they're sponsored.. Alot of companies make great arms. Janssen, Roll Design, Laeger, Houser, and lone star are a few of the big names. I'm sure there are lots others that i'm forgeting.. But.. them smaller company's also make some quality stuff.

only thing you can do is get on the phone and call the builders.. some might have a heavier work load then others.

Got a Jet kit that I've acumulated over the years. I havn't needed it in awhile since I've switched to alky. I've sent alot out to HQ'ers over the years and no one has sent any back, so its not as complete as it once was.. So I'm selling whats left. Comes in a plastic case. I have, 4-60 pilots, 2-48 pilots, 1-45 pilot, 1-58 pilot and 1-40 pilot. Mains.. 172's, 170's, 168's, 158's, 155's, 152's, 150's, 148's and I have 1-145, 1-162 and 1-175 Needles DCH, DEG, CGJ, CGH, DCF, CGL and EEL Also has some random stock mikuni mains and pilots. $65 shipped takes them all. I got that wraped up in just the needles.

IMO Those parts will be affected very little if any by changing the rod angle. The biggest relief is going to come from the decreased force on the cylinded wall/piston.

I was just gonna say.. Arn't these trans's like 2500-3000? I could find alot better places to put that. + the guy doesn't stand behind his work... No way in hell I'm shellin 2500 out for a product when he wont stand behind his own work.

adapter for the spindles??? you mean a reamer? some after market arms require you to ream the spindles.. never heard of a adpater though... Maybe I'm just misunderstanding somthing here.... Some company's use heims on their arms.. some use ball joints.. depends on the company.
