  1. I had the same issue with every head I've used. I've always chalked it up to tweaked studs or the cast of the cub.. Only head that I've ever had slip on easy was my Pro design, but I put it on a brand new stock motor... after that the head went on my cub and it needed some tapping on the studs to get it to slide down.. Had the same issue with a NOSS, CP head, and a chariot. I dont think it was from the head on any of them.. On a side note.. I'm actually kinda partial to the NOSS head myself. I'm waiting for Dave to make one for my DM.
  2. Heavy springs wont hold a motor that size for long.. Once the springs start to loose tension.. it'll slip.. You wont notice any difference in accleration with a slingshot. That minimum amount of added mass wont be noticed. I didn't notice anything switching from a DD style to a slingshot...
  3. you said it was running out of fuel.. so I posted that above. But... a air leak is impossible to jet also.. If you changed jets and the bike didn't run any different. I'd give it a quick leak down test to make sure there isn't a leak.
  4. I'd check the needle and seat... something might be stuck in there and not letting it fully open.
  5. Ill post the invoice if people want? Might as well leave the thread open for a bit longer so people will know what it cost to ship drag pipes.
  6. I got a set going to cali next week.. I'll let you know what it cost.. But its usually around 15-20 for standard UPS ground for me. I use insulation for packing material.
  7. Thats what I was thinking JD! WTF??!!?? lol This is DEFINITELY worth this price guys! Good luck finding another chassis for less with what he's including!! Let alone a HS Customs chassis!! Once word gets around this one WILL be gone!
  8. sorry.. I mean fiberglass.
  9. bump for a great set of plastic and one hell of a guy to deal with!!
  10. On a side note.. Can you resize your sig pic? its beyond huge.
  11. Its distributed by Duncan racing.. soo.. It can be called a "Duncan" head.. Everyone will know what he's talking about. Duncan and PTR is pretty much the same damn thing.. I was sponsored by Duncan back in the day so I've had my fair share of their equipment. The Duncan Head is a Sister to the Pro-design head.. So all o-rings and domes that are compatible with the pro-design.. will work with the duncan head. (Pro-design, Mod quad, NOSS, Chariot all use the same domes as the PTR head)
  12. hmm... shocker... Didn't see this thread ending with broken parts.. Totally didn't see this one coming..
  13. Jeff, Are those spindal mounts 10x2's or 10x4's?
  14. ATF Type F trans oil.. Its cheap and works..
  15. Have you tried trinity?
  16. hmm.. if you read my post.. it says. I've "seen" I dont know what Rob or Dan can or cannot fabricate.. Dont care either.. I honestly dont know what that has to do with me? Trashing builders now huh? real original...
  17. I only use Wiseco if Nothing else is available.. I really like the WSM pistons.
  18. That rumor is old.. back from when Rob/Dan started the pipe venture. I heard a different story but either way you look at it.. its still third hand info. Robs pipes fit great. and his chrome is WAAAAAAY better then anything that has EVER came out of Matt's shop. I've seen dyno's of both pipes on the same bike.. RDZ's made the better power. But.. that motor was built to the pipe. There is no BEST pipe. Every builder has his own configuration.. Good builders can make the engine favor one pipe over another. Best thing to do is talk to the builder.. See what he's found to work the best on his setups.
  19. Run it! Them are good quality oils.. No need to change.
  20. aside from what was stated by Rod.. Check for a air leak also...
  21. I agree.. didn't seem like too many people liked this idea though..
  22. I had a UPP slider.. You didn't need to remove the swingarm to put it on. It was split and had a bolt that pinched it together. I prefer the modquad though.
  23. I use a 7 plate and a slingshot on my 14mil.
  24. I would agree with you on that.. but on the same hand.. a stock or piped motor wouldn't need a blaster cage or a ported cage either. stock cages with some good reeds will work just fine.
  25. Here is a lilttle food for thought.. this is a dyno comparison.. done same day.. same dyno, same bike by a unbiased reputable builder with no ties to the products on a 350 drag engine. All reed systems were jetted accordingly. DIR is the mossbarger cages that made a claim to top the VF. Which led to this comparison. Notice the VF produce more power and torque EVERYWHERE.. even over a stock ported cage (carbontec). there is about a 3hp gain even below 7k rpms.. The VF have no problem performing down low. I would like to see some dyno's of the blaster cage vs a VF if anyone has one.
