  1. So what exactly did Jared do for you? Do you have any pics?
  2. Hey man sucks you lost a motor. But thanks for pointing out how important it is to have correct float heights.
  3. Right on Paul, thanks for the hook-up.
  4. I like the way you think!
  5. Boost Bottle... WTF. Boost Bottles are pieces of shit that clutter up the engine bay and will crack intake boots in short order. You're better off with the stock cross-over tube.
  6. I'll take an unpainted one. Money sent.
  7. Sorry to thread jack OP. I have a set of 35mm PWK Air Strykers I bought last year for a smoking deal. I've been talking with Kevin and he recommends a Hardcore MX Port due to my weight (280lbs) and riding in sand. He said the stock carbs are hard to beat. I was thinking about selling the 35's and moving to a 33mm PWK's later if I felt the stockers weren't big enough. He mentioned the 35's might feel a little lazy off the bottom-end. I'll try the Hardcore MX Port and the 35's if they don't sell.
  8. Can you guys compare the differences between the 35's and stock carbs? Differences in bottom, mid and top end?
  9. This is correct. I have a pdf 2005 Owners Manual and it states BR8ES Spark Plugs. WTF? 2000 Banshee calls out B8ES, see item 2. http://www.apachemotorcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=36046&category=ATVs&make=YAMAHA&year=2000&fveh=921 2001 Banshee calls out BR8ES, see item 2. http://www.apachemotorcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=38188&category=ATVs&make=YAMAHA&year=2001&fveh=1002 2000 Spark Plug Boot, see item 9. http://www.apachemotorcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=36083&category=ATVs&make=YAMAHA&year=2000&fveh=921 2001 Spark Plug Boot, see item 9. http://www.apachemotorcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=38225&category=ATVs&make=YAMAHA&year=2001&fveh=1002 Same part number for the boots, so why the change in spark plugs? What else in the electrical system would require the use of a Resistor type plug?
  10. B8ES gapped to .028" is stated in the service manual.
  11. So you just bought a set of Fireball LT A-Arms and LT Custom Axis Shocks? That is the exact set-up I want. Did you get the Shocks new? Get a good price? Where did you buy them? Are they comp and rebound adjustable? Are they 19.5" center to center set-up for the Fireball A-Arms?
  12. Have you been there before? I've always wanted to go ever since I found this site. http://www.duneguide.com/sand_dune_guide_amargosa.htm I still need to ride Dumont and Glamis.
  13. Those rear hypers dual bead lock? How was Pismo?
  14. Are they fraying in just that corner, or are all for outer corners fraying? Have you contacted Moto Tassinari to ask if they know a reason for this "premature wear", or is this typical wear? Moto Tassinari, 4 Technology Drive, West Lebanon, NH 03784 (603)298-6646
  15. I figured you got them used. Were they off a Banshee or another ATV?
  16. Very nice. Where did you get the front and rear Ohlins shocks?
  17. So rock the VF3's and Chariot Intakes over stock intakes and mod'd cages with Boysen's?
  18. I appreciate you suggestions, and I would ick up a set of 28mm PWK's if I only had the 35's, but since I have pristine stockers I'm gonna rock those. If the 35's don't sell by the time I biulod this motor, I will definitely try them out and report back to this thread. Kevin said the stockers are pretty tough to beat. He said the Port work, the T5's and the stock carbs will all begin to sign off around the same rpm. He said it's a very well matched set-up. Now, what about intakes and reeds? I was thinking about sending my stock reed cages off to Wildcard Racing for them to do their cage porting and install 2-Stage Boysen Reeds for $50. Or should I rock the VF3's that I got for X-Mas with a set of Chariot Billet Intakes and never look back?
  19. Fucking Classic! My wife laughs her ass off when I imitate that guy from Silence of the Lambs. The title says Elka's, WTF?
  20. Hopefully I get to try out wfobasheeboy's HJR Dune/Play Banshee on the weekend of the 27th-29th.
  21. Again, how much do you weigh? I asked Kevin about the Dune/Play port and he suggested the MX Hardcore Port due to my weight, terrain and riding style. I don't go to the dunes to drag race. I ride the dunes and ride them hard.
  22. How much do you weigh?
  23. I think I'm gonna send my stockers out to Ron Black for his carb mods. http://www.rb-designs.com/banshee-carb.htm I agree, well said. If the 35's don't sell, I'll definitely try them out. I wish Keihin made 31mm PWK's.
  24. I ride mostly dunes, but I do trail ride and hit the occasional OHV park for a little Moto-X action. I want a torquey motor hi 30's and around 65whp. The dyno plot above has a wicked powerband. 2000rpms worth of 40ft•lbs would be epic.
  25. Strong down low and still pull hard up top ! I want a powerband like this.
