  3. I run a lil billet digital temp gauge up on my bars and when it gets up too about 93C or 200F i let it idle down some then shut it down and have a wobbily pop and a sandwich. Only ever gets that hot when its really hot out and im going slow in the woods and not much cool air is going through the rad. It usually sits around 66-77C or 150-170F while ripping along.

  5. But for $10 gasket or 200-300 topend? Yeah it might work and yeah it might not. I cant even stand riding my stuff if even i have a thought in my mind like "is it ok, i hope its sealed properly, is it tight enough..." and so on and things like that. That kinda stuff bugs the shit outs me on my stuff. But its your bike so your call. IMO i think you should just spend the $10 on a new one for piece of mind and know its good and be done.

  7. Nope, install, check for air and coolant leaks, then runner. Don't hurt to check the compression also.

  10. Just be careful and use a dremel with a lil sanding wheel drum to take a lil bit off the outsides of them all the way around slowly. Simple fix and will take 1/2 an hour at the most to do them all. If no dremel then use a drill with a lil sanding wheel drum..come on now ELI!!!!

  15. Ryan, i say run the T5's for a lil while to break it in and what not. Then get the feel for them Then buy them rockets on C-L and put them on (i had to go from 155's too 158's) on my carbs then you will see the diff for your self first hand man. All i know is that my motor from jeff was way better after getting the T5's off and put the rockets on. I thought i would never run anything but T5's on my motor as it is now, but boy was i wrong. Im a believer.
  16. I say you try and find some of the older Rockets. My T5's i ran, ran good on a similar motor that your building and i LOVED them. Then switched to Rockets and DAMN..way better. Some peeps hate rockets and some people love them. Well i love them as they were a great increse over the T5's i ran. I say anyone wanting to run them on a stock port motor should look the otehr way and run to a diff pipe though. Just my
  17. What year stator you need? The plugs have changed 3-4 times thought the years. If you dont mine cutting the plug off your old one and splicing it into a new used one then any year will work.   21. Pinging = detonation. Whats your comp and what octane fuel you run, just curious. Just go stick gas in it and run it around, your proly outa gas like you said.
  22. I have mine at +5.5 also. Just set it between #'s 5-6 that = 5.5
  23. Put some more gas in ans ride it around again. Sounds like your low on gas. Go do it and try it out. Then when you go and park it. Turn the pet-cock off, pull the fuel line of the carbs and put them into your gas jug and turn the pet-cock on to drain the tank on your shee. Bingo bango DONE!!!
