Yeah, it should be a decent quad, I just personally think its ugly. But it will be kinda cool having the big 4 all racing again. Kinda cool to see Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue all out competing. Kinda reminds you of the 80's when it was the Quadracer 250, 250R, Tecate, and Banshee. Ah yes, the good ole days. Now for those of you who think the KFX450 might desimate all.... You have to realize, Yamaha is just setting back waiting for everyone to make their final release so that they can make the YFZ even better. Talk of fuel injection and an aluminum frame is on their list too. Imagine a 60 horse, 320 lbs. YFZ right out of the box. How sick would that be? I'ld buy it.

Welcome aboard man

What is the best sprocket size?
Soupbox660 replied to verdoneracing's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I agree with that setup. A 14 tooth up front seems to work good too. It seems really good in the open dunes. I would say on trails thats a no no, but I always opt for slightly longer gears in the dunes. I would agree with the 13, but I like 14, just my opinion. You still wont have trouble pulling hills, not with a good port. However, thats also running T5's as well. -
K, got a 686 Raptor, 11.1, stage 2 cam, FMF full exhaust, GYT-R jets and needles, K&N. When I'm just riding around, jumping, drag racing, trail riding, it runs great. Tons of power all of the way through clear to the top. Its jetted perfect. But, when I do a wheelie or climb a steep hill it cuts out like crazy likes it draining the float bowls, but I know thats not it, cause I can drag it with no problem. I would say it starts at about a 45 degree angle. What do you guys think?

You exit of highway 67 onto 32 going into Leadington, MO. Then you follow 32 untill you get to the Park Hills Exit and take a right. You will go to a stoplight. Take a left on business 32. Then you have to go through three stop signs. The first is a Y shaped 3 way. go to the right. Then next is a 4 way, go straight, and then another 4 way with the railroad tracks in the middle. Make a left and you can see it immediately. And yeah, we still call it Flatriver too. LOL

You all suck, I wish I could go. LOL :ermm:

I know I should praise these guys in the Good or Bad forum thing, but I wanted to make sure everyone saw this. Lastlegwarrior and I went riding at Park Hills, MO (St. Joe State Park) this weekend and we had some issues. His clutch cable broke and my clutch went out all together. We were on the brink of packing up and sayin F*ck it. But we went into Park Hills and found this little Yamaha and Honda dealer named "Donnelson's Cycle." Usually dealers over charge and don't know crap, but this place rocks and I just wanted to mention their name in case anyone ever goes there. They had all of the parts we needed plus other stuff and they were super friendly and super knowledgable about everything. I thought it was really cool to see a small dealership on top of its game. Needless to say we got our stuff, at good prices I might add, fixed our stuff at camp and were riding again in a few hours. So if anyone on BHQ works at Donnelson's, Thanks a million, to everyone else, if you ever go to St. Joe State Park, throw them a visit.

is there something wrong here?

That looks familiar Woo hoo! If you aren't breakin stuff, you aren't riding hard enough....... Well to a point. LOL -
Sounds like a good idea to me. I doubt there is anyone on Banshee HQ that wouldn't want to show off on a good camera. I know me and my friends would. Kind of like he was saying though, just make sure you get different footage. Maybe even do several different groups of people for different conditions and places. Every riding place has something unique, no matter how big or small it is. So take tons of different places' "uniques" and then you will have a collection of some of the coolest shit around. God its good to be back on BHQ!

Welcome aboard!!!! -
If I bust ass, I might be able to make it, but don't count on me. I would definately love to go though.

I don't know if any of you know about Finger Lakes at Columbia, MO or ever care to go there, but I thought I would post this warning to anyone thinking about going. The place kinda sucks, but we go there quite a bit cause its close to home. For the longest time, you didn't have to have anything but a helmet to ride out there. I went the other day and when I got there, there is a new rule that you have to have flags now on all quads. And they are really busting people for it big time. So in case anyone really wants to go for some reason, just thought I would post the warning to take flags with ya.

OH BURN!!!

Fully agree! Jeff's the man.

Yeah, it won't really come out. Just another crazy concept someone has dreamed up. Why would they make a 500 twin when they already have the YFZ and the 700R. No point. They have a race bike and a big bore. If they were going to make a twin, it would have something to do with the 700 engine or something like that. I'm not saying they wont find something to replace the shee, but it wont be anything like that. Who would want a 500 twin 4 stroke on a Banshee anyway. Yeah right... They know something like that wont sell.
-
The 06' 450R and 05' are two different machines. The 06' is ten times better than that original thing they came up with. Stock for stock, the 06' is just slightly faster than a new YFZ. I like it, but thats my personal opinion. Then there is the new Quadracer 450. That thing handles incredible, but its like the slowest thing on the market. You can outrun one on a 400EX. Top speed is 68 mph. Granted it gets there quick, but geeze, how fast would a YFZ or 450R get there, if they were geared that low? Anyway, if I get another 4 stroke, I'm getting a YFZ or 450R. But probably YFZ cause they handle better.

Definition of Banshee: Super Fast, Easy to Rebuild and Maintain, Super Fun, Unlimited Modifications, No one can touch its power. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is no catching a modded Banshee

HA! YES!

Make sure that your pistons are the right size for the bore. I got the wrong pistons once and it wouldn't even start. Also check ring gap. If you need instructions, just PM me. And yeah, definately check the jetting. Banshee's are super angry when it comes to jetting. You must rejet for everything, like he said.
-
Ok, I've asked this before, but I need to double check because I forgot what everyone said. Here is what I've got 686 11.1 JE Piston Stage 2 Hotcam FMF Powerbomb header with Powercore 4 muffler K&N Filter And right now, I'm running with the air box lid on because it holds the filter on and I cant afford the adaptor yet, but I am removing the air intake tube. Now, I'm using GYT-R needles and a 25 Pilot Jet, but what notch do I set the clip on. Its either 3rd or 4th, but I don't know exactly. And what mains do you recommend I run? The kit comes with 160 for the left carb and a 165 for the right, and I've been told 3 turns out on the screws on the right and 3 1/2 on the left. So, the questions are? Which notch on the needles? What mains? (bigger than 160 and 165?) How many turns out? And should I run that 25 Pilot, or the stock one? Thanks guys
