  1. I like the one you posted there at the top, thats pretty BA right there.
  2. Yeah, I have gotten a bunch of stuff through Jeff before. Didn't realize he had them. Awesome. Thanks guys.
  3. I know this has been a topic a million times, but I cant seem to find it when I search so I thought I would just ask again. What is the link or the name of the place to get a pancake bearing from so I can eliminate the welding problem? Thanks.
  4. Friend of mine has a 2005 Rancher TM (foot shifter). The thing is in neutral but the light wont come on unless you mess with the gear shift a bit. Then, if I'm lucky it will start, otherwise it wont start. I know the neutral safety switch can be bypassed, and I think I know how, (green wire with red tracer needs to be grounded?). Any other suggestions? Maybe where the sensor is or anything. Its no big deal, thanks guys.
  5. Yeah, I have it. Seemed that way to me too. Not nearly as good as the other ones. And apparently all Bomb Squad uses now is Polaris. Lame..... Wish they would still show older quads too.
  6. HA yeah! They are so few of them out there, cant ever find any 400EX's with stuff done to them. I really wanted to knife the guy.
  7. Not too long ago I was trying to find my buddy a cheap quad that he could pick up and ride for a while, untill he could get something better and I was strolling through the paper and found a 400EX. It advertised something like this. Nerf bars, Pro circuit pipe, new handlbars, 440 kit, and lots of other extras, will probably need tires soon, $14,000. Not even kidding. Unbelievable. I love how some of these people think that a few after market parts make it worth a shit load of money when it was probably all ratted out.
  8. Shop Foreman at one of the bigger Toyota/Scion dealerships.
  9. Ive got one Shee with lots of stuff for making it a good all around bike, older Raptor with lots of stuff, use it for trail riding and hare scrambles. Honda Rubicon for the farm and the mud, stock 300EX, because everyone needs one of those, just too much fun. An old Honda 200X with some homeade modifications making it an absolute blast. An old Suzuki Quadrunner 185, my uncle picked it up brand new in February of 84. So I don't really wanna let it go, maybe I will fix it up some day. Still runs, just not well. And I have a 1980 Honda Z50 dirtbike, and I just completely restored it. It looks brand new. Its a blast.
  10. If you do switch to a 4-stroke and leave the shee behind, I would be careful about getting the new YFZR. Its just like the Quadracer. I have ridden one. They rev to the sky, but that is where all their power is. Nothing down low. They have really really low ground clearance and are wide as hell. They are fast, have amazing suspension and the throttle response is incredible, but they are going to be a track only quad pretty much. The Raptor is gonna be way better on the trails. Or get the old style YFZ, they do still make it.
  11. For example...wouldn't you both tap this shit? I sure as hell know I would get in there
  12. I have 2 more that I thought of, dont know how I could have forgot We were staying in a state park on a riding trip during the fall and we were camping, and after some cheesedogs and few beers we started doing some stupid crap around our site. One guy thought it would be a good idea to fill a water bottle full of gasoline and set it in our campfire. The gasoline started boiling and finally a hole melted on the side of the bottle and sprayed out like a flame thrower. The fire spread out past our site into all of the the dead leaves and headed for the trees. After 3 coolers full of water and a few trips to the hydrant we got it out before anyone seemed to notice. Scary though, almost set a state park on fire. At the dunes one time a buddy of mine on his shee was racing a guy on a YFZ and as he was coming back toward us he started heading back to the left of the strip towards a tree line and there was this small berm where people had been racing into the trees and back out into the open and we are all kind of standing there watching and the dialog went like this. "Do you think he sees that berm there?" "I don't know but he is cookin, surely he sees it..." "Um... oh...oh oh no.. Oh no, fuck fuck fuck! OH DAMN!" and he flew threw the air. Anyways all said and done, we counted that it landed upside down about 185 feet from the jump, and bent the frame, and axle, and a arms, and blew a shock and just all kinds of bad stuff. Luckily he got away with only a bruised tail bone from landing on his ass. Worst part is, one of the guys with us had a video camera in his hand ready to record and didn't get any of it.
  13. Some buddies and I had been planning a trip to the dunes all summer. Finally got there, everything was going well, got a camp site without a reservation and everything. Started riding around. At the time the Raptor 700 had just come out and we found these 2 guys on matching stock ones that wanted to race. Thought it would be fun, we would smoke em and have some laughs. We raced and I got my ass stomped. Looked the Raptors over, completely bone stock. Pipes and all. Decided to race again, same thing. Completely pissed off that all of the money I put into mine wasn't enough to be a stock 700, I rode back to camp. When I hit pavement, I smashed the throttle and it revved right up and I went virtually nowhere. My clutch was gone during the first hour of riding for our riding trip. I drove for an hour and found a place that actually had one in stock. Went back to camp and spent the first part of the afternoon putting it in. After I got it together i started riding around camp trying to break it in easy and it wouldn't hardly go anywhere. I had gotten in such a hurry that I forgot the metal ring between the sixth and seventh plate so i had to take it all back apart and do it again. I was just a little grumpy. After that the trip was good though.
  14. I agree, its all about that screaming twin 2 stroke. Personally I like to see the original based frame. Modified for strength, lightened, stretched, its all good as long as its based on the original, but really its all about the engine
  15. Me and a bunch of guys are heading to St. Joe State Park, south of St. Louis, near Farmington. Alot of you guys may know the place at Park Hills or Flat River. We are heading there sometime towards the end of March or in April. Just seeing if anyone else wanted to head that way for a weekend.
  16. Listen to RIPPEN. Everything he mentioned is spot on, and he has the experience to tell you everything you need to know. And be sure to hit up the site sponsor, Jeff at F.A.S.T. He can give you input and get you parts. He has built a lot of quads for a lot of people and he knows just about what every part does for every bike.
  17. I know you can make them work on the shee with spacers. Can you make the YFZ A-arms work on the old Raptor 660? Any bushings or spacers needed? Any luck that they bolt right up? Man that would be sweet. Ha.
  18. Here is my setup and its a great trail bike (for me keep in mind), and it will flat out haul balls. Its no 10 mil, but it will destroy a zilla non the less. F.A.S.T. Play Port Noss Head w/ 20cc domes Toomey T5's Wiseco Pistons Wiseco Crank VForce 3 Reeds Lightened Flywheel +4 Advanced Timing YFZ450 shocks Kenda Knarly's +3 Durablue Axle 15 tooth front sprocket, 14 for technical stuff (my attempt to not blow the clutch to pieces all of the time) I know this is more than enough stuff to beat a zilla, especially in a long race.
  19. Im sitting here making sure the techs are all doing there job at the Toyota dealership. 7 - 6.... Bored out of my f****n mind.
  20. I have more posts than all of you guys, but its because Ive been here so long.... Wait, I'm an idiot. Maybe I just read a lot of posts, yeah thats what it is.
  21. Im going to LS in may, so I'm down for that trip.
  22. Lookin for HQ members around the area, me and some guys are going to Finger Lakes this sunday, Dec. 14. Seein if anyone wants to go. I think we may just ride utility quads though, cause i'm sure it will be classically muddy.
