  1. My clutch mechanism got all welded together and i need it all new or in good condition. In case clutch lever, 2 pushrods and the ball.
  2. Exactly what i saw. But the one i saw was tricked out blue and black.
  3. Im taking the clutch mechanism apart and the ball was welded to the first push rod. How the hell do i take the second push rod out? Its jammed in there pretty good. I tried tapping the engine side was and nothing.
  4. Do i have so split my cases to do this. I'm gonnna try it today.
  5. I seen nice and old bike on the street today and all i could read is Yamaha 400 on it. When it reved up is sounded just like a banshee engine and it was jammin! What the hell did i see?
  6. Its right between the 10 and the 60 off of riverside drive. Its get crazy some weekends.
  7. Check the teeth on your front sprocket. My bike did the same thing when i extended it and it was just the front sprocket was worn out. And yes you should have the rear guide on.
  8. Im running a tusk clutch that i got from rockymoutainatv and i like it. I recently opened up the case and it still looks new. I put all 6 heavy duty springs in and it grabbs really good. All you're gonna need is the fibers, plates, gasket, and 1.5 liters of gear oil. Good luck.
  9. locally i ride in a huge river wash in the city of rialto. Its about 20 min from my house. Theres good races there but its no glamis.
  10. where do you get the pack to repack the silencers?
  11. t5's are good.
  12. A 20 sack of meth and you'll be able to polish your frame and plastics while you're at it.
  13. the prep is just wiping all the dirt off. works great!
  14. those tires hook really nice untill they wear a little. Then the knobs round off and the traction is only good on soft dirt or mud. I ran those on packed dirt and they sucked.
  15. I forgot my camera and this is the only picture that saved in my phone.
  16. coming down hill i put it in neutral and roll it down. The cable is fine and was removed when i took the clutch apart. I just downloaded the service manual and it looks like the ball did get welded to the shaft that goes to the clutch. The damage was done going up hill.
  17. We changed the plugs on my brothers bike this weekend, one came loose and the right side of the engine lost ALOT oompression. The tip of the plug looked melted.
  18. I was riding up olds and the clutch lever was really loose on the way down. I tightened it up and gave it another run and the same thing happened again but this time i couldnt adjust it. the cluth was fully engaged. I bought a new clutch to change it out and when i was taking it all apart and the clutch was fine. The problem is the mechanism that actuates the clutch. I was able to remove the center part of the clutch that looks like a rod with tread on one side and a ball on the other and it looked kind of chewed up like it some thing was peeled off. When actuating the clutch arm it felt like it was getting stuck throught the movement. What do i do next?
  19. I've always used engine cleaner with a shine enhancer. Just spray it on, brush the thicker dirt or mud with a paint brush and hose off in about 10 min. Chrome and billet is polished easily with a jewlery towel.
  20. The 200W is a good choice. Double check the plug set up before buying.
  21. If you look at where the OVERFLOW line that goes to the tank connects at the radiator you will notice that the radiator cap can pushed up with pressure but if theres a vacuum in the radiator the cap will not move down. The top line in the overflow tank is simply a overflow line for the overflow tank and in case the overflow tank overfills. I worked circles around this myself before i removed my overflow tank. My brothers banshee recently overheated a spit coolant out of the overflow overflow line and when the bike cooled down the radiator was still missing coolant. And there was a pop when the cap was removed, vacuum trapped by the radiator cap.
  22. Try to chip out enought to see a thread or two or the actual metal at the beggining of the thread and jam a tap in there to clean it up. You could also use a pilot bit throught he hole to give you a pathway for the tap.
  23. i beleive its a vent or circulation hose. Mine was leaking around the bushing once but it was only the cracked hose. If thats the case, just trim it back a bit.
