Well see the problem is your rings are most likely shot. If you were down to 105, its time for a rebuild. Milling the head will raise the compression and make it run better, but its a band-aid, and didn't fix the problem. Tear it down, see if it needs a new bore, and if still fits the pistons well, hone it and get new rings. Then test it and tell us what you get.

Yeah Im at 500 ft (not too much lower) and I pulled 153 on a fresh top end with 21 cc domes. The adapter does sound like your problem though.

Use some penetrating oil and let it sit for a minute first. Nothing worse than breaking off a stud and not having anything to grab on to.

Oh no, heres that whole not supporting the usa again. Look, most imports are made over here (tacoma) using more domestic made parts than american car companies. The money stays over here. That and generally foreign companies use better components on the vehicle. Your door locks, handles, window motors, all the switches everywhere, brakes, power steering pumps. Stuff like that I can't count how many times Ive seen an american car have problems with stuff like that. Anybody had any problems with the top of the door leaking on the full size chevy truck? I know of several people whose weather stripping after about a year stopped sealing the door.

Worn rings. The more they wear, the bigger the ring gap gets until the point that they simply can't seal anymore. Hone it and get some rings, and I'll bet you'll be fine.

My dad uses the colorado at work, and its a piece of shit. I know Car and Driver also said its the lowest quality small truck out there, the hood vibrates at highway speeds, the interior panels don't fit together, and have broke, and its underpowered as hell. The Tacoma crew cab I know can fit a quad in the bed with the tailgate closed.

While I haven't ridden with them, I do have one thing against the IRazrs. They only have 1/2" of tread brand new. My 2 year old holeshot xcrs still have that much tread, and I do a devent bit of riding on pavement. They might hold up well, but I would like a little more tread to start with.

Wow and I thougt I heard all the "av gas is bad because", but thats a new one on me. Ive done research till I was sick of it, and av gas is not bad for your engine. It doesn't burn any hotter or cooler than any other gas. Rocketboy, how much do you pay for 100LL? They just had to raise the price here from 4.15 to 4.40.

Its too late now. By way of Katrina, we already showed the gas companies that we will pay outrageous prices for gas. Only thing we can do now is hope good ole GW gets capped real soon.

I got the BR8EIX just so they won't foul. I have this bad habit of leaving the airbox lid on when I get done cleaning it off (I put it on so water won't get all over the filter). Then I take it for a ride and start cussing when it isn't running right, only to realize the problem once its too late. So far I've only done it once on the iridium plugs, but they still look the exact same, and they didn't foul.

jpeg itself is a type of compression. So zipping it isn't really going to compress it much more.

Lean and rich is meant to describe the fuel air ratio, not the oil fuel ratio. It has become more common for people to use those terms when describing oil fuel ratio, but it isn't correct. When you use less oil, your fuel air ratio will be richer, you have more gas. If you add more oil, you have less gas, so your running lean.

Yeah well it must be nice to have money. Some of us don't make that kind of money to just keep $1000 sitting there. First comes gas, food and bills, and IF there is anything left after that, oh wait, there isn't. Tell you what, since you have so much, why don't you give me some money.

So what if overdrafts don't look good in their eyes. An overdraft is them going ahead and covering your transaction when you don't have the money, and then they charge you a fee for the "service". I would rather them just reject my card in the first place and stop trying to do me favors. As far as them being the #1 bank in whatever, thats just cuz they're huge. As far as customer satisfaction goes, I don't know who they pay for those surveys, but they definitely aren't trying to help out the little guys at all. I went by the bank today, and he showed me some voodoo on his computer on how basically the online banking is completely wrong. They actually arranged all my charges so they could charge me 5 overdrafts, instead of doing it like they told me online where I would have had only 1. Fucking assholes.

Well I went to check my balance today since I needed gas, and wasn't sure if I had enough money or not. I thought I might have gone over by a few bucks and got an overdraft charge, but I wasn't too concerned as I get payed tomorrow. So I get to the ATM, check my balance, and its -$184 So I get home, check my account online, and they decided to arrange my charges so that I got charged 2 overdraft fees, the first one for $150. What the fuck? I checked over all the stuff I signed, and the fee is not variable, its $30. Moral of the story, don't bank with Wachovia.
