  1. Yeah, I had some along time ago, and they are hard to hold on to bare handed if they get wet. And they don't wear well with gloves. But they are comfy as hell. Personally Im stuck on Renthal half waffle soft compound grips. Last suprisingly long for soft compound, grip like mad, and still really soft.
  2. Ah, humidity doesn't count, its over 100 here with the heat index all summer long.
  3. Uh, is there a question in there? I got it that you are trying to install a clutch, but whats the problem? Take the pressure plate off, put new plates on. Put pressure plate back on (pay attention to the arrows on the basket and pressure plate. Adjust the clutch (clymers details that pretty well). Put clutch cover back on and ride.
  4. 102 here yesterday. Only about 98 today though. Tons cooler!
  5. No, I actually brought a kidney belt up, because I was thinking about getting one. Showed him a picture and description of one, and he said its doing the same thing. Anything that gives you support like that isn't doing you any long run favors.
  6. In case you need it. Theres reasons why, setting up the comp as a DHCP server is the thing that pops into my head right now.
  7. Ok rocketboy, just out of curiousity, how do you feel about stem cell research (oh shit I did it now). The ability to cure untold number of diseases and heal injuries that would have been permanent before. Yet a great deal of the research is done on embryos that are grown in labs, never in a woman. Would you rather people continue dying from cancer, living their lives paralyzed, end their lives in senility from alzheimers?
  8. Yep. And personally I think theres no way they should have this kid and keep it. They won't be doing the kid any favors. For one he's a fucking moron to drop out of school, and will never be able to get a job to be able to support a family. And she won't go any further than high school if she has a kid, so then the country has yet another set of perpetually poor young parents, who raise another kid in poverty, who will complete the cycle yet again. Happens too often, I've seen it with I don't know how many people I went to school with.
  9. Trinity doesn't make the Cheetahs (either cubs or big ones). CP Industries makes them. Trinity just happens to be a big seller of them, and the ones that market them the most. Personally I wouldn't get shit from trinity.
  10. new rear shock setup? What, they came out with a new rear link for the banshee? Another whopping .5 inches of travel?
  11. Yep, RZ500. Never brought it to the states, couldn't pass emissions. It was a porker too, twin crank 4 cylinder. More like 2 parallel twins than a V4. Never was that great of a bike apparently.
  12. I went and asked one once, and it turns out they are clear with black and white stripes. Be careful with bleach around a zebra, they might disappear on you!
  13. I just used duct tape to mask off the cylinder before I polished/painted mine. cover all the gasket surfaces, then trim with a razor. Holds up better than masking tape too. I'll see if I can find pictures. After that, sand and polish.
  14. Stock carbs can and will do this when they get wet. Especially when you put new caps on them to get rid of the TORS (like you did when you got your twist). Water gets in around the cable on top of the carb and causes the slides to stick. Happens to mine, which is another reason I avoid water. Besides, a banshee isn't meant to get wet, its meant to stay clean and look fast. You want to go through mud and water, get a 4x4. And if you store it outside, well, you should be shot for doing that to a shee.
  15. The front end that we don't know what shocks should replace it, and we don't know what frame it mounts too? Well, I just spent all my money on a moon rock, so you're welcome to it.
  16. The width of the frame is where a bunch of the geometry is coming from. Its not going to affect the shock valving, if the shock mounts stay in the same relative position to each other, the a-arm mounting points, and the spindle mounting points. The point of having a narrow frame is to avoid bump steer, by keeping the tie-rod mounts inline with the a-arm mounts. That frame does it nearly perfect. A stock banshee is nowhere close, and therefore we have bump steer. The frame is 250r based geometry, but its not at all the same as broke's outlaw frame. Look at the old auction that rebel posted before it was stripped of shocks. The ebay front-end has the shocks sitting much more vertical than an outlaw frame, and they look to be a different length too. With that steeper angle you get more progression out of your shocks (the first inch of wheel travel doesn't use as much shaft travel as the last inch of wheel travel). Which is why so many long travel shocks have quad rate springs, to try and get back that progression (they move the lower shock mount out, and decrease the angle between the shock and a-arm).
  17. Id steer clear, 85 hp on gas ain't happening, and 75 hp is doubtful. All depends on the dyno though, Trinity's dyno reads really high, but I don't think even they would advertise those kind of numbers. My guess, some guy has a set of templates, or just tries to copy someone else's work. Gore ported cylinders would be a better investment IMO.
  18. If you're already used to a twist, get one. Can't hurt to try, and if you don't like it, throw it on ebay. Personally the reason I don't like them, is you tend to hold on to a quad at the bars more than a bike. A bike you grip with your legs.
  19. Yeah, thats it. I tried "giga pocket" in google and came up with a ton of stuff. Saw a couple forums there too. That should be able to help you figure it out.
  20. Could be then. Go to the device manager (right click on my computer, click on properties, hardware tab) and see if you can find it there. If you bought this computer new from Dell, HP or someone like that, they more than likely gave you the software you need. If not, then use google and search for some software (free video capture software). Try the company that made it too.
  21. You need a video capture card. The s-video slot on your computer is (pretty much assuredly) a video output. It sits right next to the cord thats hooked up to your monitor right? Once you buy a video capture card, it should come with the software you need.
  22. Thats on alky though. I think I remember Jim talking about going all out on a drag motor, like roll it to the line and start it right before the race. He was saying it was more likely a grenade waiting to happen. I do remember somebody took a stock cylinder/bore/stroke banshee and managed to run high 3's in 100 yd (drag chassis). You can go damn fast with stock bore and stroke, but its still going to cost a bunch of money. No way around it, faster you want to go, the more you got to spend.
  23. I already have T9s (picture), and know a guy that can weld them in for me, all I need is the rings. Ill try JL, thanks
  24. Just so you know, Vitos has 2 different designed piston (superstock, and power pistons i think are their names). And you can get both of them in either a forged, or a cast piston. The forged one is built by wiseco, I don't know about the cast ones. The cast ones are probably what gave the bad rep to Vitos pistons. But personally I think you shoud port the engine instead of using fancy schmancy pistons. Wiseco pro-lites all the way
