  1. looks like it to me. Haven't been able to get there in a week or so. Oh well, no big loss. Hopefully we just don't get any or the morons from over there to migrate here.
  2. Well, if you're only in the dunes, then give it a shot.
  3. What do you know, I just happen to have a new shee thats still stock sitting in the garage. Perfect timing. Just make sure you draw my name
  4. They will be better rebuilt, but stock shocks, revalved or not, are still no match for a pair of aftermarket. If you've got the money then sell those things on ebay, and get some real shocks.
  5. Skat Trak has never been that tight on quality control. I remember a thread that someone started on planetsand about skat trak tire sizes, and there had to be a ton of people that commented on how they got 2 different size tires.
  6. Seeing that you already have a timing plate, not its not worth the money, and you probably wouldn't notice much difference if any at all.
  7. Great shocks, I haven't heard a complaint about them yet. As far as where to get them, not many places list them for the banshee. Last I heard a couple months ago, the banshee FLOATS were on backorder, although that should be cleared up by now. www.mxsouth.com has the best price I could find for a banshee, you'll have to vall them about the banshee FLOATs though.
  8. Really simple. Don't need any routers either. Go buy a wireless card for your desktop that supports the same standards as your laptop. Get them to see each other on the network. Then simply enable the internet connection sharing on your laptop. After that, it should all automagically work.
  9. Dean Sundahl would beg to differ.
  10. I do it all the time. Actually, 5 days a week, I cook in a restraunt. its 120 degrees standing in front of the grill. And I stand there hours at a time wearing pants the whole time. Ive also done lanscaping, all day long, in the heat, wearing pants. Sure its not as comfortable as shorts, but you can do it, trust me. Discomfort and pain is all in your mind. It only bothers you if you let it. To the original poster, my boots will keep me from burning myself on my T5s even without pants. So either buy yourself some boots, or start wearing pants.
  11. Every website you visit knows where you're from. You're IP address can be traced to your ISP (internet service provider, the people you get internet from), and then they know where you're from.
  12. Nothing but trails and MX. I use the clutch all the time. Its just that its not that stiff.
  13. He listed it, and was still on ebay 15 minutes later when you bought it. He notice that, and went ahead and printed out a shipping label. Nothing sounds fishy to me.
  14. While I know your on a budget, and I know how that feels, I would go ahead and replace them now. Sure its a deal right now, but if one of the bearings bites it, it could get a lot more expesive.
  15. You sound like an easy guy to please, tell ya what. I'll make you a set of my super carbon fiber look construction paper skidplates for only $39.99. Thats with free shipping!! All I need is the dimensions of the arms, so you'll have to send them to me. Really though, I don't know of any company that makes custom skid plates. First thing I would do is call quicksand, they might have had somebody do this and can point you in the right direction. Carbon fiber you could do yourself. Just like fiberglass, only with woven sheets of carbon. Soak thoroughly with epoxy resin, get all the air bubbles out, and get as much excess resin out as you can.
  16. As far as reliability, every company has had someone break their a-arms. I've seen pictures of all the a-arms you mentioned broken (edit, not quicksand), and others you didn't mention. I've seen a set of Roll a-arms broken in person (off center landing on the front right tire, bottom arm snapped right below the shock mount). The test is whether or not they back their a-arm, and if they use quality components.
  17. Has he cashed the check yet? As in can you stop payment on it?
  18. I doubt you can file a claim without the tracking number/original receipt. So either he didn't send anything, he really has the tracking number and won't tell you, or he did lose the tracking number and the package got lost and he somehow thinks he can get the shipping company to pay him. Sounds a little fishy to me. Stuff doesn't get lost in the mail too often. How did you pay him?
  19. Good set-up. Those are the arms Im looking at getting. Although their kit prices are kind of on the high side. RM does have good prices though, but I think Magic Racing might be a little lower. Get those a-arms, and somebody elses shocks, and you'll probably save money. $580 a-arms + $900 shocks of your choice + $100 brake lines, and you're still cheaper than the kit.
  20. Its not that much stiffer, I don't even notice it anymore. Whats the point of buying HD springs when you're going to throw 3 old stock springs back in there. If they're 10% stiffer than stock, and stock pull is say 10 lbs (yes Im making numbers up), HD springs will make it 11 lbs. Thats not going to cause major arm pump, or give you carpal tunnel. You will notice its slightly stiffer the first time you ride it, and never think about it again. Run all the springs, and enjoy a sturdier clutch.
  21. Get a chain slider to replace it with. UPP makes one I know. The one I got is TM designworks. Big beefy, and supposedly lasts forever.
  22. Dude, we've already had this discussion, IRS is not the future of ALL quads. Thats like saying rotary engines are the future of all cars. Quite simply, you can't eliminate body roll with IRS. You can minimize it, but there will always be some. For that reason alone, MX quads will keep using a straight axle. Its lighter, simpler, and cheaper. For cross country and desert, sure IRS will probably take over one day, but thats not what drives sales in the high performance industry. Especially now that MX is on TV.
  23. Yep, that fixed it up perfect. Thanks for the suggestion.
  24. Good idea. I think I've even got some zerks floating around somewhere.
  25. I wouldn't try and shoot it with a bb or pellet gun, they aren't enough to take down a cat unless you get a lucky shot. Cat wanders over with pellet wound, the neighbors probably would guess who did it, and call the law.
