  1. How about one of these. Less than a WRX sti (05-06) & the #'s say faster to! I love mine! See sig below. Zo6

    banshee rims

Funny I was thinking the same thing....
  3. I actually just purchased one of these lights (blue) off ebay from billet banshee However I haven't installed it yet. I think what I will do if I run into the same prob. you're having is mount just the center piece under the gas tank to illuminate the motor (polished) that way it won't necessarily matter if 1 or 2 bulbs go out since you won't be able to directly see them. (big pimpin) Just a thought.
  4. That be Thunder Mt. A very nice hill & it only gets better from there! I love that place & can't wait to go back.
  5. That's a big negative! These will only fit on 1987-1990 frames.
  6. These are my chrome j arms I just listed on ebay. I will have more & more parts to come as I part out my 1990 banshee so stay tuned for more powdercoated & chrome plated parts. Chrome J Arms- CLICK HERE!!!
  7. It's going to cost afortune to ship those heel guards on ebay. Look at the size of those things! There gigantuous!
  8. Little over 1 day left. Thanks
  9. You'll definately want to check for LOOSE bolts also especially around the plastic. My 05 was full of loose plastic bolts & footguard bolts (not footpeg thankfully).
  10. Ok one last question RNBRAD. I'm hearing of clearance issues with the trinity's in relation to the pods. I have 28mm carbs with K&N pods. Plus I've got the larger style pods at least there bigger than the ones I took off to replace. My FMF"S barely touch the left pod. I have pulled it over just enough with tie wraps to clear. Will I run into a big clearance issue with the trinity's? Do you or anyone else who has trinity's mind posting a pic. here so I can see how the trinity's lay in there. If they don't rub anymore than the FMF's I'm cooool wit dat. Just want to be sure. Thanks yet again!!!
  11. I' ve noticed on the banshhee contest that some guys aren't running boost bottles (crossover tubes). The intakes they are running do not have the outlet tubes to accomadate one either. So what are the advantages to either setup, what is gained by not having one. I'm going to be purchasing some billet intakes real soon & just realized that this boost bottle thing was an option. Also do ALL the aftermarket intakes accept v-force 2 reeds? Trinity in particular.
  12. Hey everyone. I just posted a pair of my Sand Skate II's on ebay if anyone is interested. Link is provided below- just click!!! Thanks! Chad Link: Sand Skate II's
  13. Although I've never owned one I would have to say 250R for sure. The bikes are appreciating in value these days. JMO
  14. Yeah change your plugs first. Then if it still won't run you may have gotten some dirt in the carbs which may cause it to act like that. I got a piece of sand in my carbs once & shee wouldn't take any throttle whatsoever.
  15. I would have to agree that a banshee is not designed for the trails but it sure is fun on logging roads! It would be nice to see a dyno test amongst various pipes on the same motor whether it be RNBRAD's or someone elses just to see how hp #'s compare. where they drop off. "RPM" & come alive for that matter. I was working on my 05 today thinking what a sad day it will be next year when the last banshee rolls off the assembly line. Then I thought " Gee, I now have a reason to hate enviromaniacs even more when that day comes. Oh yeah RNBRAD, if those pipes don't work out with your new motor setup please let me know as I think they would look good with blue if you know what I mean. Let me know. Thanks, Chad.
  16. Thanks for the response RNBRAD. I think I will probably give them a try but I'll prob. wait til this winter sometime as I just stripped my 1990 to the frame today & have 1 more ride (break in) on the 05 next weekend. Then it will be on for some chrome part swapping frame powdercoating fun. I think I will give the 30 day trial a try & make sure I can live with them. I, like you am so tired of piss poor quality when it comes to aftermarket parts for bikes & I'm not talking about just pipes. Like I said I love the Fatties but will never buy another set due to the lack Of quality. I will have to get with Rocketpig when I'm ready to buy & see what he can do. Looking on Trinity's website where they describe their diff. types of porting I would have to say mine is closest to the TT port. Little bit more bottom end, a lot more mid & a much more noticeable top end. That's about as good as I can describe it. I think I'll give Trinity a call to & see what they have to say & go from there. Thanks again. Chad
  17. All in all I want Fatty power characteristics but with some quality. I know nothing about shearers so any insight on those would be great. If they turn out to be the better choice for me I will go that route but just need to be sure before I drop some cash on them.
  18. As far as power delivery I'm fine with the Fatties & what they put out. I also like where the powerband comes in at with the Fatties. So why am I looking at Trinity's you ask? Because Fatties are the biggest pieces of sh#% I've ever owned. My bracket on the expansion chamber is not welded on perfectly straight so I continually break pipe hangers...also there chrome so keeping them from rusting is a real challenge especially since I ride at the beach (Oregon dunes). Oh & did I mention I am on my 2nd. set of pipes. The first set of fatties literally split along the weld on the expansion chamber (both pipes separate times). So when I hear Trinity's are high on quality & SS they really catch my eye.
  19. HELLO, RNBRAD. I did a search on here for trinity pipes & noticed in one of the threads you switched from Fatties to Trinity's. I am in exactly the same situation now as I start to customize my 2005 banshee & retire my 1990 due to a suspension failure. For now I plan on running my old motor in my new bike (keep new motor for spare) simply because it has been gone through & has a lot of life in it still. The old motor has some mild work done to it (nothing like yours WOW!!!). I have some port work done & a shaved head,(stock head) 28mm keihn pwk's 175 mains (330 mikuni) V-force 2 reeds, & some FMF Fatties. The guy who did my port work (Graves motorsports) reccomended the Fatties for best results. Now to the ??? Comparing the 2 pipes where does the powerband hit in relation to the fatties...higher- lower? Did you have to make a jetting change? If my port work is matched well for Fatties will it also be matched for Trinity's? I love the fact there are no couplers needed & the fact there ss, oh & every body says there high on quality... there's something I'm not used to having run Fatties for years & years. The price (High) doesn't bother me if I'm getting my moneys worth although I will certainly shop around for a good price Ebay $640 free ship. vs. here 10% disc. Again my MAIN CONCERN IS WHERE DOES THE POWERBAND COME IN as all my riding is done on the sand dunes 20% drag racing 80% hill climbing. Thanks for all your help as I value your opinion. Chad P.S. If anybody else can offer some expertise I'd love to here from you... Rocketpig etc...
  20. Thanks for posting this thread as I now have a lot of my questions answered . I had a 1990 shee & just got a 05 & noticed the difference in plugs called out in the manual. I posted a thread b8es vs. br8es but just got a lot of shrugged shoulders. So this has been helpful.
  21. This is my 2001 Yamaha Raptor I bought new in 2001. It has a 4" extended swingarm, 2+2 durablue eliminator axle, & a K&N filter with a pro design adapter plate. The swingarm has been powdercoated black silver vein & will still accept the stock skid plate which is on it now. I'm trying to avoid shipping the bike so I would be willing to drive 200 miles or so to meet up with the potential buyer. My location is Olympia, Wash. The bike currently has knobs on it now & I would sell frt. & rear sand tires with it for an additional $150. Fronts are dune trackers on rims & rears are sand skate 2 on rims. This bike has been well taken care of & is very clean. I try to take care of my bikes as they are to expensive not to. I've posted current pics. of the bike & if you need more proof of the condition of the bike my banshee is in the thread (lets see your banshee) IMAGES. on the 3rd. page. It gets the same care & maintenance as the Raptor. The only thing that takes away from the bike are some scuffs on the plastic (normal wear) & the usual white stress marks so common with blue plastic. Thanks, Chad. My asking price is $4200 obo + $150 if your interested in the sand tires.
  22. Stock except pipes, sand skate 2: 14-41 mild port sand skate2: 13-41 Keeps the gearing low for instant "on" power when sidehilling, chutes etc... in 2nd gear. It's all personal preferance though.
  23. I had one & must say while it worked it worked great. However one day it just locked up (couldn't pull the lever in) & I messed with it & messed with it & still couldnt get it to work. Now I have a ASV lever & cable setup. Love it. Still have the hydraulic clutch setup if you or anybody else wants it for parts.
  24. I've had the same luck with cometic. My head gasket started leaking on me so I went back to stock. You can' beat stock gaskets in my opinion. Good luck!
