  1. Yessir.. :baseball_original:
  2. Jeff reccomended me a dune port when I called and talked to him. I have yet to recieve my ported cylinders from him, but they are supposed to be pretty strong. Call him up and talk to him. He's pretty cool to talk to and can give you all sorts of insite. PM Gripperz, he's got a dune ported motor and he said it screams.
  3. Happy belated birthday. :baseball_original:
  4. You dont have to split your cases. That is assuming that your are thinking about the shift kit or modded shift star. Just pull the clutch cover off. And I think you will have to pull your clutch basket too. Not a hard task at all. I use maxima mtl 80w and works pretty good.
  5. A cool head and an adjustable timing plate for bolt on stuff. Bump your compression up a little bit and advance your timing. Then go out and get yourself a port job.
  6. ^ Are you sure about that? When I got my banshee bran spankin' new, it did that very same thing. I had a pretty crappy off idle hesitation. When I put my pipes on, I got rid of that "bog" off idle when I re=jetted for the pipes. COngrats on your new banshee. They are hella fun.
  7. You dont need to re-use any of the stock fittings. I just installed the same kind of brake lines as you. What I did was zip tie the tee fitting to the little bracket that the stock brake line bolted to. You know the little bracket up behind the radiator near the handle bars. Then run the lines down to your calipers. Run them down through the frame and get em away from your pipes.
  8. First of all, I dont ride. I fly really low to the ground. And second, I'm just one guy.
  9. Yes, what DMC typed. You need to drain your tranny oil and coolant before pulling the cover off. Be a good idea to get a new clutch cover gasket too. And while you have your cover off, a really good mod to do would be getting a new billet water pump impeller.
  10. NYUK, is that the truck that you put the train horn on?
  11. I would strongly suggest that you NOT mix the 2 different oils. If you want to stick with the amisol, just order in bulk off the internet. YOu should be fine with the bel ray. Now, if your are worried about switching to a different oil, you should not have any problem whatsoever. I ran the maxima 927 and I would occasionally run out and I usually keep a quart of yamalube 2R on standby and I have had no problems. I would drain any premix in your gas tank and re-fill with fresh pre-mix of a different brand. Congrats on your new banshee.
  12. Holy shit, man. It sounds like that sumbitch warrior that you just purchased was a turd in sheep's clothing. Rockymountain atv has your tie rods and rod ends. I think they are tusk brand. Tusk is pretty good shit too and moderately priced. Good luck.
  13. I saw a ton of aliens in Home Depot last weekend. They were buying up some building material. They couldn't speak a word of english either.
  14. Stock carburetors are Mikunis or at least they are on the late model banshees. You are looking for the small hex main jets. The pilot jets are banshee specific though.
  15. Sounds like you're on the right track with getting some cubs. Everthing I read about them says they put out some insane power. As for getting my bike goin again, i may have it back together around the 15th of never. Lol. Seems like it anyways. Good luck with the cub set up.
  16. Oh snap! :baseball_bat: Aint that the truth, man. I've been in a really bad car accident where I have no clue as to how I even got out of the vehicle. The 'shee can be replaced, but you cant.
  17. magic racing, dennis kirk. I believe they have them for 6 bucks a pair or 3 bucks a piece. I have just found this little web site. Pat's small engine plus. PSEP Cheapest I have found, but shipping is bout the same as the other 2 places.
  18. ^ looks like stock banshee tires to me. Nice clean bike, too bad you're too far away. :baseball_wibble:
  19. Take the 450, try out the sand. Then fix your banshee and make another trip back to the dunes. You may have more fun on your banshee once ur clutch is fixed and you are able to stop.
  20. I use the Maxima 80wt MTL. Tranny looked brand new when I tore it down couple of months ago. Stock clutch discs looked bad, but that wasnt the oil's fault. Lol. That was my fault.
  21. RILS, sounds like you're really enjoying that banshee. Do you miss your gixxer at all?
  22. Yeah, it's not that hard to split your cases and clean everything. If you havent had them apart, I can assure you that there isnt anyting that will pop out at ya. As for putting it back together, hadnt done that yet. lol Doesnt look like it would be hard either, tho.
  23. Cpi or shearers is what I'd go with. Whichever you can find cheaper.
  24. 260 mains for stock air filter and lid on. I'd start with the stock pilots and adjust your air screws. May need to go up to 27.5's. I would strongly reccomend a pro flow air fliter kit with K&N filter. That stock air fliter assembly will fail you eventually. And with the pro flow kit, you can pull the lid off. Im at sea level and I had 340 mains, 27.5 pilots, air screws out 1.5 turns and needles in stock position with no air box lid with fmf fattys and it hit pretty hard.
