...along with other races and a burnout comp, at the Snake River Speedway, Hwy 26 (Arco Hwy) west of Blackfoot ID Sept 10th. Gates open at noon races start at 3:00pm. $15 entry fee. This is only a "for fun" race and there will be NO PAYOUT or prizes for winning, just bragging rights. They are trying to see how many people will be interested and show up. If there is a good turn for this particular event (drag race) they will build a sand AND an asphalt drag strip for quads and bikes that will be ready for this coming spring with payouts and trophies! I'm gettin 64-66hp on the dyno with a stock bore/stroke 350cc. The secret is ALL in the porting, imo. I've beat a couple "BIG BORE" Banshees at the dunes and EVERY beefed-up NOS'ed 4-Stroke I've ever raced! My buddies give me shit about this but I believe in getting rid of as much weight as possible from the quad. Every ounce helps!!! I think I might put my front brakes back on though :baseball_wibble:

420cc, Dune port, CPI pipes, 38mm Carbs. If you slowly bring the rpm's up to a relativley high rpm, the left cylinder will slowly get quieter then quit all together and will come back on when you hit the gas. Even while putting around the left side always sounds a little "off". At WOT, it will haul ass for the most part, then both sides will spit and sputter. Checked the plugs a WOT and they are brown. At an idle, they are still brown but very wet. Also, at an idle and putting around, the left side smokes more than the other and drips oil out the pipe. That's all the details I can think of so I hope someone has an idea.

That was a good one! The guy he bought it from said K&T did it but I thought They always sign their's with their logo, right? Maybe it's an old K&T motor???

A friend of mine just bought a 420cc Banshee. "Woody" is engraved on the side of the cylinders. Any idea who built/ported the motor?

Actually, the Japanese are creating all the huricanes to get even with us for the A-bombs we dropped on them!!! :wink:

Post your numbers/charts, mods and type of fuel used. Here's mine... Mods in sig, 100 octane gas.

Left pic is fresh mix, right is 8 days later. The bottle was never touched.

5th... Don't know why though.

Anymore opinions on this? I really would like to get away with just pump gas (91octane)!

I don't think soap will remove mineral deposits. Maybe try something like CLR. Be sure to use distilled water when you fill it back up and you won't have that problem.

A local race track here is putting in a 1/4 mile drag strip. Don't most quads race an 1/8 mile strip? I realize you could gear it for a 1/4 mile but I don't think the amateurs around here would want to run that fast very offten. Also, I'm not to savy on how drag strips work but would it be that big of a deal to set one up for 1/8 and 1/4 mile races?

Maybe your gas evaporated? I think that's the only way to seperate gas from oil. Okay, now I have to test this for myself. I'll put some premix (Yamalube R) in a clear bottle with a lid on it and let ya'all know what happens. Might take a while though
